Check out this quick and easy card I stamped recently using the Thoughtful Banners bundle (142330).

I love the look of this card – and I think it would make a great guy card because of the colors. What do you think?

And this final card was made using the Sunburst Thinlits die (140617) was from Lorraine.

Layering Love

Today’s card is one my friend Kathleen designed for our recent get together and I got to stamp. It uses the Layering Love sentiment set along with the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Die.

These dies are a lot of fun and I’m really loving them for all kinds of projects!

Today is a bit crazy so I’m making this short so I can finish up the organizational items I wanted to share with you this week – I’m hoping I can post them for you tomorrow.

Meanwhile I thought I’d share a photo of what I did this morning. My son surprised me with a trip to the lumber yard! Yippie!

I’m so excited! I can’t wait to share with you what this stack of wood will be turned into.

A little Pop of Pink!

I love Melon Mambo and Basic Black together. It’s bright, cheerful and classic. What can I say it just makes me smile. So the Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape is definitely a hit!

This fun and cheerful card was one I stamped the other night with my friends. I’m really beginning to like the stamp set Layering Love. It’s Big and Bold and makes a focal point easy peasy. And the fact it works perfectly with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies as you can see doesn’t hurt at all.

Don’t forget, for a flawless finish use your Embossing Buddy before you stamp and heat emboss – It works every time!

Moroccan Nights meets Dapper Denim

Check out this quick and easy card that Teresa gave me the other night.

It uses our NEW In Color Dapper Denim and the Moroccan Nights stamp set’s big bold image. Monochromatic cards are quick and easy but have a classic feel to them!

I LOVE blues and this new In Color gives us a great addition to the already existing color families! It’s not quite the color navy since it has a softer feel. But Dapper Denim is a rich, beautiful blue with a hint of green – and it goes with almost anything!

Swirly Bird Fun & a bit more

There is nothing better than playing with new stamp sets and this week I’m going to share some projects that I stamped and received when I got together with some fellow demonstrators last week.

Today’s card was made using the Swirly Bird Bundle (142353).

Just perfect for a summer birthday! And I’ve got to tell you while this wasn’t on my original wish list it is now!!!

The more I see and use this set the more I love it. It’s just so versatile and the options are endless! I’m so glad that Kathleen shared this project with me.

On a personal note –

What do you do when you have the house to yourself for a whole weekend? Recently I was at loose ends for a whole uninterrupted weekend of me time. What does that mean? Well I can do things that I’ve been wanting to or as the spirit moves me. Either way that means no cooking and being on my own time table. LOL!

This particular weekend – I got the bug to sew. Of course, this was after seeing my patio furniture dry rotted when it was uncovered for a family cook out!

After a couple of weeks shopping around and being shocked at the price of replacement cushions. I remembered my friend Cindy recently telling me about recovering hers. Well low and behold there was a fabric sale that came across my email – I was inspired. Armed with limited sewing ability and measurements I headed to town. Straight lines I can do! So I figured I could tackle this project after a bit of googling. LOL!

I fell in love with this fun, bright colorful stripe at the store. Couldn’t resist the Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron combo, there is even a little real red and Cucumber Crush in there! After cleaning out the store of all they had, I came home thinking I could do all 4 chairs with what I had.

I was a bit off – Totally didn’t get what the girl was saying. Now I know why she seemed confused, she must have thought I was a bit crazy. I bet she was shaking her head when I left. ( I didn’t account for the pattern I soon learned!) But that’s okay, I had enough to get me started! Here is my trial run chair.

Simply made a pillow case and whip stitched the back edge. (Since no one will look any ways – that is except my husband! Who checked it out first thing when he got home.)

I was on a roll and soon got the fabric in for the last two chairs – didn’t want to forget what I was doing!

Everyone has been so sweet with their comments – some even thought I’d bought a new set!

Well once the machine was set up in my classroom I couldn’t quit. So since I’ve been wanting to get to this project for ages I thought why not?

This was a favorite purse of mine. Since it is cloth it is light weight and perfect for travel in the summer. Unfortunately my liner had gotten shredded from all the use so I set it aside a couple of summers ago. (I’m sure you have projects like this too. Thinking you’ll get to it soon, but then time passes. I’ve REALLY got to be in the mood to sew and I was on a high from the patio set sucess!).

Any how. I just knew our retired Stampin’ Up! fabric that I had would be perfect for this little purse. So here is the finished project. I lined it in the Rich Razzleberry pattern so it won’t show the dirt.

Cute? Not perfect, but all the same I’m going to enjoy using it. The Floral District Designer Series Paper was one of my favorites (not that I’m hording any….shhh don’t tell but it’s sitting right there with my Tea Party Designer Series Paper that I’m saving for a special project!)

Well the machine has been put away for now so the classroom is fully operational again!

Perfectly Wrapped

Stampin’ Up! has introduced some fantastic kits with coordinating stamp set and today’s card was created using the Perfectly Wrapped set found on page 159 in the NEW Annual Catalog.

Created in our NEW 2016-2017 In Colors this set when combined with our Stamp Pad Bundle (141818) is a great way to begin building your stamping supplies or add a trendy new batch of colors to your already existing supplies.

This card was part of the 5 In Color cards that we recently stamped during my June Team meeting.

Painter’s Palette

Today’s post is going to be a quick one since I’ve had an unexpected car emergency with my son today.

Why not check out this fun card I made recently using our NEW 2016 In Color, Flirty Flamingo.

Our 2016-2018 In Colors are bright and cheerful and right on trend! And when you stamp off like I did on the palette you’ll get different tones of the same hue. I simply inked up the swash once and stamped three times without reinking in between.

It’s the Last Day!

Bear Hugs for Father

Check out this cute card I received from Leslee using the adorable Bear Hugs stamp set and Framelit Dies found in the Occasions Catalog on page 40.

Cute right? What father wouldn’t love getting this card?

And you can purchase this set and framelits in a money saving bundle (140822/140823) while supplies last or until May 31st when the Occasions Catalog ends. (While you’ll find these items in our 2016 Annual Catalog they won’t be offered in the Bundle any longer.)

And here are some more wonderful masculine cards I received from my fellow demonstrators in swaps.

This first one was given to me by Trudy. She used the stamp set From Land to Sea (138720/139361) and created the sand dunes using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set (139971).

Clever girl – I love it when you can use stamps and punches for other things!

And finally this card uses one of my favorite sets, Guy Greetings (138825/138828/137178).

I love all the texture on this card – It uses the Boho Chic (138286), and two of our retiring Embossing folders, Honeycomb (129378) and Chevron (127749).

A Sneak Peek into the 2016 Annual Catalog

One of the fun things about being a demonstrator is getting to see things and play with the products first. And who doesn’t love that?

In today’s post I’m going to share some cards I received in a recent team swap that use the new In Color, Sweet Sugarplum and highlight some of the other new In Colors.

This first card was given to me by Teresa and uses the stamp set Painter’s Palette (141907/141910).

Stamp more than one time without reinking your stamp and you’ll get different shades of the same Sweet Sugarplum ink (141395) – easy peasy!

And this card uses the fun drapery fold using the new fun patterns found in the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack (141657).

Susan used two other In Colors, Flirty Flamingo and Peakaboo Peach for the flowers. This card also shows off our new yummy Sweet Sugarplum Runched Ribbon (141428). You’re going to love this stuff. It ties beautifully and has a wonderful feel to it!
