Heartfelt Sympathy

Looking for a wonderful stamp set to create those sympathy cards you need? I find sympathy cards one of the most difficult cards that I find I need to make and so this set is a great option for me. How about you? Do you find these type of cards difficult?

Here are two wonderful cards that I received during one of my swaps using this stamp set. While they use the same set they have a different feel to them.

This first card is done in classic black and white. The color combo can’t miss in my opinion, which of course is why it’s classic. Right?

And this second card has a softer feel to it – Done in neutrals with a bit of Silver Glimmer Paper.

So which do you like?

Playful Pals & More

Today’s cards are soft and sweet, so why not check them out?

This first card uses the Playful Pals stamp set (140506) found on page 45 of the Occasions Catalog. At first glance it’s easy to miss, but when you see this adorable card that Laura gave me you’ll want to check it out.

This set includes 50 stamps that can be mixed and matched to create all kinds of fun images. And when you bundle it with the Pyamid Pals Thinlits Dies (140618) you can make adorable little treat items too! Great news – get the bundle (141069) and you’ll save 15%!

This second card was given to me by Tanisha and uses the Balloon Builders stamp set (140645). Isn’t the bear sweet?

It’s another set that you might have missed, since it once again has lots of pieces that you can use to build all kinds of things! This set coordinates with the Balloon Bouquet Punch (140609) but it’s not just for balloons. Why not take a look at page 14 to see all the fun ideas?

No Bones About It

Need a fun set for those dinosaur lovers in your life? Both my kids went through this phase (remember the big purple guy? LOL!) and so I just knew this was a must have set for me!

Isn’t this card bright and fun? I think my nephew will have a big smile on his face when he gets this and the little goodies I tucked into this bag I made with our Gift Bag Punch Board to coordinate.

Team Fun

Last night I held my monthly Team meeting. And for those that braved the rainy weather there was a lot of sharing, laughter, food and stamping of course.

Today I thought I’d share with you some swaps that were brought to the meeting.

This first card is bright and bold was created by Janie.

The drape or pleated skirt told was done using the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper stack (140552).

This second card uses the In the Meadow stamp set (140751/140754) and has a totally different feel to it. It’s soft and subtle since Cindy chose the Blushing Bride pattern from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack (140548).

Even the embossing folder, Softly Falling (139672) that Cindy chose makes you think soft and peaceful. LOL!

Seeing different styles and color choices is part of the fun of sharing during our meetings. It energizes every ones creative juices! What fun to share.

#imbringingbirthdaysback

Have you noticed that you don’t send or receive birthday cards like you used to? Would you like to receive a handmade card from me this year? #imbringingbirthdaysback is a new initiative that Shannon West started to bring back sending birthday cards.

Shannon West is part of the Stampin’ Up! home office team. And in November at OnStage shared with us her families’ personal birthday tradition of celebrating with one big bash – which I just loved, so when she launched her #imbringingbirthdaysback last month I couldn’t resist joining in the fun and jumping on board, and now you can too! Since this was one of my New Years resolutions for 2016 any how I’m just expanding it a bit by including you!

Helping Me Grow

Check out these two very different cards made with the Helping Me Grow stamp set (140764). This set contains some beautiful floral images and great sentiments too.

This first card is done in Watermelon Wonder and uses the beautiful Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (140557). Irene used the Work of Art stamp set (134111/134114) to create the swoosh of color on the flowers – pretty cool, right? The Fluttering Embossing Folder (139304) added some texture to the background. And the Bitty Butterfly Punch (129406 – part of the Weekly Deals) was layered on top of the Mint Macaron Elegant Butterfly piece (127526).

This second card uses an embossed resist technique and is much softer feeling even thought the Tempting Turquoise is part of the Brights Collection.

Janie Embossed the flowers in White Embossing Powder and then sponged Mint Macaron, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise. The sentiment comes from the Wetlands stamp set (126695/126697) and is placed on a 2″ Circle that is layered on our 2 3/8″ Circle Punch. A quick and easy way to create a focal point. Can you see the tiny pearls she used to dot the i’s? A little touch of elegance.

Fabulous Rose Wonder

If you want a wonderfully elegant all purpose stamp set, you’ll want to check out the fabulous Rose Wonder Bundle (140804). The Bundle not only contains a stamp set that covers all kinds of occasions, it includes a coordinating Thinlits option with the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies.

Just check out these two wonderful cards that I received using the Bundle.

I just love this first card with it’s soft colors that Joanne sent me. Done in shades of pink the Early Espresso outline is striking. (I’ve give you the complete recipe below for this card.) Use the Big Shot Die Brush and the Precision Base Place and cutting these intricate dies is so simple!

And here is a card from Krisha that is soft and elegant. I wish my photo would show just how lovely this card is.

Krisha’s used the Fancy Designer Vellum Foil (133363) as a background and added little pops of color with the sequins from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit (140551). The Shimmery White Card stock (101910) she used for the sentiment and rose give it just enough shimmer.
