After a wonderfully energizing day at Regional that included meeting new stamping friends and seeing old ones, swapping cards, learning new tips and ideas, prize patrol, great giveaways, and of course spending time stamping I was shocked and honored to learn that my Festive Fall Fun swap card was one of the 2 Creative Challenge winners chosen by the Stampin’ Up! staff to be featured as a winner at the Chattanooga Regional.
I have to tell you I couldn’t believe it as my name was called and my card was shown on the two huge screens. Mine was just one of two cards chosen from the demonstrators there! My ears roared while my team encouraged me to get out of my seat and up onto the stage. And since Bonnie Thurber was describing the other persons’ card as mine while I approached the stage, the only thing going through my mind as my friends cheered me on was that the lovely Christmas card Bonnie was describing wasn’t mine.
I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to receive a hug and generous gift, a shopping spree, that was presented to me by the director of Demonstrator training, Bonnie Thurber. Even now I sit here looking at the delightful card they gave me and shake my head because it doesn’t seem real. What a thrill it was to be chosen. And of course now I can order all those wonderful items on my wish list from the Holiday Catalog with my shopping spree! Yippee!

Well we’re back and we had such a blast at the Chattanooga Regional that I don’t know where to start. I’m just bubbling over with all the wonderful tips and information that were shared with us on Saturday that I’ll spend the next week sharing it all with you!
I’m going to start with my TEAM gifts first, since that is the beginning and hope you’ll come back each day as I share more of the Regional highlights with you.
As I mentioned before, this is the first Regional that my TEAM members have been able to attend, so I wanted to do something extra special for them as my roomie gifts. I myself like to take lots of notes for stamping projects and thought they would too, so I thought these notebooks would make a wonderful roomie gifts.

Now, how about a close up of the Chattanooga Regional bookmark that I made to go with it – What fun they are to make too! Did you notice the medallion I created? The bookmark medallion was made with our Demonstrator only MDS2 Download from our Convention this past summer. I just switch things up a bit and adapted it to our Chattanooga Regional. I’m getting ready to head out the door for Chattanooga Regionals. I’m soooo excited to be going with my TEAM for the first time. We’ve decided to make Regionals into a special girl’s weekend! Doesn’t that sound like fun? I can’t wait for them to share in the excitement of a Stampin’ Up! event. My very first Regional Event was in Chattanooga too, kind of a cool coincident huh. I wonder if Shelli will be there. I got to meet Shelli last year at the Charlotte Regional for the first time where she greeted us and did a presentation. It has been crazy around here lately so I apologize for not posting the past week. Our daughter, Kaitlin, started Band Camp last Monday and since I am the secretary of the Boosters Club there has been a lot to do, so I haven’t been home much. In addition, we are hosting two of the visiting band staff members in our home which has been a lot of fun. Of course, when I am home I have been canning or freezing the items coming out of our son’s gardens. With this long stretch of heat we’ve had lately I’m afraid there won’t be much left before long and no tomatoes I’m afraid this year.
There are so many different things that I have been wanting to share with you that I will try and get caught up over the next couple of weeks, this include the tutorials I’ve finished but haven’t posted yet. So check back frequently.
I held my 3rd annual Luau Catalog Launch the last weekend of July and I think everyone had a great time. There were lots of samples of cards and other projects to see, a silent auction, retired items for sale, along with drawings, door prizes, demonstrations of some new products and 2 fabulous Make n’ Takes! Whew! There was a lot going on – I thought I’d share some pictures with you from my two day event.
Here was the table that held my free gift to everyone who came, a “Catalog Survival Kit”, along with some of the door prizes and of course the Grand Prize of over $50 in merchandise in one of our fabulous reusable totes!
And of course it wouldn’t be complete without some punch and goodies to snack on. Thank you Helen for sharing your brownie recipe they have been a big hit in my household as well as at the Luau!

Make N’ Takes were a hit and they used all of our new In Colors – the colors are just so beautiful.
The first project used our new stamp set Sweets for the Sweet and was a 3-D card made on the Alaskan Cruise Incentive Trip this past spring. I’ll be posting a tutorial for it later this week.
The second was a card using our new stamp set My Friend and our new Lace Ribbon Border Punch. I’ll be posting more information about this card along with step by step directions tomorrow.
Everyone could try out our new Designer Frames Embossing folders on the Big Shot. Along with our Letter Press Plates.
Even my husband couldn’t resist sitting down and making his own card to add to his personal stash.
