Swaps & more

One of the things that I enjoy about being a demonstrator is stamping with other and sharing ideas. So today I thought I’d share with you some of the swaps that I received during May’s meetings. After all isn’t it fun to see what others are doing with the same stamp set you may have?

Check out this first card from my friend Anna using the Zoo Babies stamp set (130453/130456).

And how about this one that Terry gave me using the Butterfly Basics (138813/138816/137154) and Sassy Salutations stamp sets (132070/126707).

And who doesn’t need thank you cards? Here is one from Kathy using the Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set (136835). This set has such a great selection of image sizes to choose from.

And don’t you love these colors together? Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss along with the Guy Greetings Stamp set (138825/138828/137178). I’m sure you know I love this set – since it has such great images and wonderful sentiments!

And while these two cards use some items that are no longer available they were such great cards I thought I’d share them with you anyhow.

This first one uses the Flower Shop stamp set (130939/130942) and is simply elegant done in a shades of brown.

And do you see the NEW embossing folder, Boho Chic (138286). What a great texture it adds to this card, right?

A Last Look at Moon Lake

Moon Lake (137149/138540) is one of my favorites from the Occasions Catalog. It has such great images that can be used for all kinds of occasions. Here are some great cards that received in swaps using this set.

And some that I’ve made, these cards also use the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack (137780).

And another I made using the retiring Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack

And how about this one that I made during a team meeting using a color wash technique and the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper (137785).

While the layout is the same this one has a totally different feel since the colors are more masculine. Isn’t it cool how just a slight change can make such a huge difference?

I’ll be sad to see it go on June 2nd. But the good news is you can still get it along with all your other favorites form the Occasions Catalog.

Four Fun Celebration Projects

Yesterday I shared with you some photos from Monday night’s event – today the projects that everyone made.

This first card uses the Love is Kind stamp (137131) and our Stampin’ Write Markers. We simply used three shades of yellow for the flower. By coloring one petal each shade it gave us an easy way to create some depth.

The second project used the Moon Lake stamp set (137149/138540). I really enjoy this image and will miss it when it is gone.

Butterfly Basics stamp set (138813/138816/137154) was used to create this next card along with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies (137360). These two items can be purchased in a money saving bundle (139322/1399323/138865).

Perfect for someone special. It’s simple to stamp but has an impact. Our retiring Metallic Encore Gold Ink (132141) was used for the background and adds a bit of shimmer.

And finally – a fun all occasions card From the Herd 138831/138834/137162). Quirky and fun the sentiments are great.

Remind you of your childhood etch-a-sketch? I just love the googly eyes – they add a little character don’t you think? LOL!

Sorry about the photos the light is awful since it is about to storm here. I’ve got both my dogs staring at me in my office since it’s rumbling out.

Moon Lake meets Adventure Bound

I enjoy water coloring and the Moon Lake stamp set is perfect for this technique.

I used a piece of the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack to guide me as to which colors I chose for this card. I really like this little paper stack since it has a selection of great papers that can be used for all kinds of things, especially masculine cards.

Although there are all kinds of water coloring methods this time I chose to use my Aqua Painters to achieve this soft look. I’ve also used our Natural White card stock instead of our water color paper since I liked it’s earthiness. Can you see the subtle flecking in the card stock? And as long as you use a lighter hand with the water using our card stock is doable, you just have to be more careful not to add too much water to prevent pilling.
