Seaside Shore

The other day I ran across some wonderful cards that I set aside to share with you and totally lost track of. Do you ever do that? I always think I’ll put it someplace safe so I’ll remember, but then I can’t find it! Sigh.

The good news is I found them now, so I’ll be sharing these and other wonderful cards that I’ve received in swaps over the next few weeks.

Today’s cards use the Seaside Shore stamp set found on page 93 of the Annual Catalog. It’s filled with wonderful bold images and a fun sentiment too. Perfect as we head into the warmer months.

This first card  was done in classic Black & White and includes lots of texture. I’ve included the supply list for you below.

And how about another monochromatic card done in Bermuda Bay – so bright and vibrant!

And here is another card Sandy gave me in a different swap using the set. It is a fancy fold – I really like the way she used the patterns to show off the stamped images.

Sandy made 3 cards with totally different looks using the same set – don’t you love that?

Anna made this wonderful birthday card using the Stylized Birthday (141828) as it’s focal point.

And my final card was given to me by Mary. I love the way she used Butterfly Basics (13881/138816/137154) image for the background netting. How cool is that?

Consignment Sale ends tomorrow

As I mentioned earlier in the week our Spring Consignment Sale ends tomorrow with 1/2 price day. There are still some wonderful deals – so why not stop on in between 9 and 2 tomorrow?

Swirly Bird Fun & a bit more

There is nothing better than playing with new stamp sets and this week I’m going to share some projects that I stamped and received when I got together with some fellow demonstrators last week.

Today’s card was made using the Swirly Bird Bundle (142353).

Swirly Bird Stamp Divas June 2016

Just perfect for a summer birthday! And I’ve got to tell you while this wasn’t on my original wish list it is now!!!

The more I see and use this set the more I love it. It’s just so versatile and the options are endless! I’m so glad that Kathleen shared this project with me.

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll share a card made with the Moroccan Nights stamp set that Teresa gave me.

On a personal note –

What do you do when you have the house to yourself for a whole weekend? Recently I was at loose ends for a whole uninterrupted weekend of me time. What does that mean? Well I can do things that I’ve been wanting to or as the spirit moves me. Either way that means no cooking and being on my own time table. LOL!

This particular weekend – I got the bug to sew. Of course, this was after seeing my patio furniture dry rotted when it was uncovered for a family cook out!

Sewing Machine Old chairs

After a couple of weeks shopping around and being shocked at the price of replacement cushions. I remembered my friend Cindy recently telling me about recovering hers. Well low and behold there was a fabric sale that came across my email – I was inspired. Armed with limited sewing ability and measurements I headed to town. Straight lines I can do! So I figured I could tackle this project after a bit of googling. LOL!

I fell in love with this fun, bright colorful stripe at the store. Couldn’t resist the Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron combo, there is even a little real red and  Cucumber Crush in there! After cleaning out the store of all they had, I came home thinking I could do all 4 chairs with what I had.

Sewing Machine (1)

I was a bit off – Totally didn’t get what the girl was saying. Now I know why she seemed confused, she must have thought I was a bit crazy. I bet she was shaking her head when I left. ( I didn’t account for the pattern I soon learned!) But that’s okay, I had enough to get me started! Here is my trial run chair.

Sewing Machine Revovered chairs (2)

Simply made a pillow case and whip stitched the back edge. (Since no one will look any ways – that is except my husband! Who checked it out first thing when he got home.)

I was on a roll and soon got the fabric in for the last two chairs – didn’t want to forget what I was doing!

Sewing Machine Revovered chairs (1)

Everyone has been so sweet with their comments – some even thought I’d bought a new set!

Well once the machine was set up in my classroom I couldn’t quit. So since I’ve been wanting to get to this project for ages I thought why not?

old purse

This was a favorite purse of mine. Since it is cloth it is light weight and perfect for travel in the summer. Unfortunately my liner had gotten shredded from all the use so I set it aside a couple of summers ago. (I’m sure you have projects like this too. Thinking you’ll get to it soon, but then time passes. I’ve REALLY got to be in the mood to sew and I was on a high from the patio set sucess!).

Any how. I just knew our retired  Stampin’ Up! fabric that I had would be perfect for this little purse. So here is the finished project. I lined it in the Rich Razzleberry pattern so it won’t show the dirt.

Floral District Fabric Purse

Cute? Not perfect, but all the same I’m going to enjoy using it. The Floral District Designer Series Paper was one of my favorites (not that I’m hording any….shhh don’t tell but it’s sitting right there with my Tea Party Designer Series Paper that I’m saving for a special project!)

Well the machine has been put away for now so the classroom is fully operational again!

What do you do when you have a weekend to yourself? Why not leave me a comment and let me know?

A Little Bit of Lovin’

Monday Larry and I celebrated my 29th Wedding Anniversary. (I know I can’t believe it either. How did that happen? Since I’m only 29, I must have been a child bride LOL!!) And so I thought I’d share some great love themed swaps that I’ve received.

This first one is from Irene and I love the way she used the Number of Years Bundle (140811) with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die (140621).

Bloomin Heart 2016 SC Occasions Swap

While this card is for that special Silver Anniversary, I think the layout is perfect for any year. Just change up the colors and you’re sure to make an impression!

This second card I made in a shoe box swap and it uses the You’re So Sweet stamp set (138682/139440).

You're So Sweet OnStage Shoebox Swap Tamp 2015

And this card from the Shoe box swap uses the Everything Eleanor (131987/124164) and Butterfly Basics sets (138813/138816/137154). I think it would make a lovely wedding or bridal shower card. How about you?

Everything Eleanor OnStage Shoebox Swap Tamp 2015

And finally another Anniversary card that was given to me by Donna. I love the way she used the Bird Builder Punch (117191) and Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821) to create the look of wood the bird is peaking out of.

Bird Builder Punch On Stage 2015 swap

The cute little flowers are from the Tree Builder Punch (138295).

So which is your favorite? Why not leave me a comment and let me know?

Team Fun & More

I was trying to be good today and get my gardening done before it got too hot. So, happily I can say I now have the mound of squash an zucchini off my kitchen counter top and into the freezer. That is until we pick again tonight. Half of the freezer is full of squash now so I’m thinking… planting another round isn’t necessary. My husband, Larry was a bit worried we wouldn’t have enough since the plants are already dying. I’ve got about 80 containers filled with my Baked Squash Recipe now. LOL!  (Click HERE to see my recipe that I shared last year.)

So I’m taking a break and thought I’d share the great cards I made during some Team meetings last month. Part of the fun is sharing ideas, like I showed you yesterday and part of the fun is getting to stamp together.

These first couple of cards I stamped during my SINKS team meeting. They both use Guy Greetings (138825/138828/137178). Like I’ve said before a great and versatile set to have on hand! Of course, for me these two images are great. Don’t you love cars? I know my guys do and the anchor just makes me smile.

Guy Greetings Sinks project (1) Guy Greetings Sinks project (2)

These next cards I made during our Stamp Diva’s meeting. I love the fact we always learn techniques like this first card using the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set (138813/1387816/137154).

Butterfly Basics Stamp Divas Project

And these next cards were taken directly from the catalog with some minor changes based on the supplies on hand. Can you spot them in the 2015 Annual Catalog?

And I thought this card using our Petite Pairs (128706/122497) and Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (133363) was fun to make. Sometimes I forget just how much fun vellum is.

Petite Pairs Stamp Divas Project

Which one is your favorite? Why not leave me a comment and let me know? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Swaps & more

One of the things that I enjoy about being a demonstrator is stamping with other and sharing ideas. So today I thought I’d share with you some of the swaps that I received during May’s meetings. After all isn’t it fun to see what others are doing with the same stamp set you may have?

Check out this first card from my friend Anna using the Zoo Babies stamp set (130453/130456).

Zoo Babies Swap

And how about this one that Terry gave me using the Butterfly Basics (138813/138816/137154) and Sassy Salutations stamp sets (132070/126707).

Butterfly Basics Swap

And who doesn’t need thank you cards? Here is one from Kathy using the Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set (136835). This set has such a great selection of image sizes to choose from.

Another Thank You swap

And don’t you love these colors together? Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss along with the Guy Greetings Stamp set (138825/138828/137178). I’m sure you know I love this set – since it has such great images and wonderful sentiments!

Guy Greetings Swap

And while these two cards use some items that are no longer available they were such great cards I thought I’d share them with you anyhow.

This first one uses the Flower Shop stamp set (130939/130942) and is simply elegant done in a shades of brown.

Flower Shop Swap

And do you see the NEW embossing folder, Boho Chic (138286). What a great texture it adds to this card, right?

Moon Lake Swap

If you have ever thought about joining my team and becoming a Demonstrator June is a great time to do so. Not only do you get $125 of product for just $99 – You’ll also get to choose 2 FREE stamps sets! Want more information? You can click HERE to learn more about my team, the Blue Mountain Stampers.

Sprinkles of Life & More

Check out these make ‘n takes from my recent Blue Mountain Weekend.  I just love this little Sprinkles of Life stamp set (139971) and coordinating punch Tree Builder (138295). Do you see the striped pattern behind the cone? It’s our NEW Envelope Paper – yep, you can use it for your cards too! Which makes it a great choice since it’s so versatile and such fun to use with the Envelope Punch Board (133774) too.

Blue Mountain Weekend with Jini and Anna Sprinkles on Top Make n Take

And this second card uses the Butterfly Basics Stamp set (138813/138816/137154) that you can find in the 2015 Annual Catalog and the yummy New 2015 In Color Watermelon Wonder.

Blue Mountain Weekend with Jini and Anna Butterfly Basics make n take

Check out the coordinating envelope I made using the NEW 2015 In Color Envelope Paper (138312) and the Envelope Liners Framelits (132172). Fun right?

And this final card uses the same Watermelon Wonder 1″ Dotted Lace Trim (138425)…..Love it! It’s so versatile and ties wonderfully.

Sprinkles of Life & More

Are you ready for the NEW Stampin’ Up! 2015-2016 Annual Catalog that kicks off tomorrow? Are you ready to see some of the new products? Well check out these two cards I made using the NEW 2015 In Colors – I think you’re going to love them!

Sprinkles of Life (139971) is our 2015 Ronald McDonald House stamp set. What is great about that? Well for each stamp set you purchase Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House AND you get this great set!

Sprinkles of Life

Can you see the dimension to the ice cream cone? Well that was created using the NEW Tree Builder Punch (139971) that coordinates with the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. Cool right? And who doesn’t love a punch! The Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (137783) add a touch of interest too and will be gone after tomorrow.

I’ve used three of the five new 2015 – 2017 In Colors on this card – Cucumber Crush , Watermelon Wonder, and Tip Top Taupe. Oh, how I love saying that last color…. it’s just fun to say. Try it … Tip Top Taupe, it just rolls off the tongue! And I think you’ll fall in love with the warm brown too when you see it just like I’ve have.

Want to see more? Well my next card has a totally different look and it uses the soft Mint Macron from the 2015 In Color Collection. I think this color will be great for creating a vintage look.

Buterfly Basics Feel Goods

I’ve used the new Mint Macron Dotted Lace Trim (138428) and the fantastic 2015 In Color Blossom Accents (138383) along with some pearls and the Typeset Specialty Paper (133704) to create this card. And I think the sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set (129681/131916) makes this a great card for a any young lady who is graduating this month.

Great news – You can see these and a lot of other fantastic new products tomorrow for the first time in my Online Store. Want a catalog of your own? Why not place an order with me and I’ll include one in your order for you!

Four Fun Celebration Projects

Yesterday I shared with you some photos from Monday night’s event – today the projects that everyone made.

This first card uses the Love is Kind stamp (137131) and our Stampin’ Write Markers. We simply used three shades of yellow for the flower. By coloring one petal each shade it gave us an easy way to create some depth.

Love is Kind

The  second project used the Moon Lake stamp set (137149/138540). I really enjoy this image and will miss it when it is gone.

Moon Lake (2)

Butterfly Basics stamp set (138813/138816/137154) was used to create this next card along with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies (137360). These two items can be purchased in a money saving bundle (139322/1399323/138865).

Butterfly Basics

Perfect for someone special. It’s simple to stamp but has an impact.  Our retiring Metallic Encore Gold Ink (132141) was used for the background and adds a bit of shimmer.

And finally – a fun all occasions card From the Herd 138831/138834/137162). Quirky and fun the sentiments are great.

Frome the Herd

Remind you of your childhood etch-a-sketch? I just love the googly eyes – they add a little character don’t you think? LOL!

Sorry about the photos the light is awful since it is about to storm here. I’ve got both my dogs staring at me in my office since it’s rumbling out.

Did you know that all of these set are from our Occasions Catalog? And did you know that the Occasions Catalog will end on June 2nd? So while although these sets are not on the retirement list – they are only available for a limited time. Why not get your favorites today?
