Simply Sketched Sympathy Card
Seems like lately I’m finding myself in need of sympathy cards. So today I worked on one for a friend who recently lost her mother. This card I created is clean and simple and I really like the way it turned out.
I created this card using the Simply Sketched Hostess Stamp Set (12969/129672) and the Oh, Hello Stamp Set (131931/130733) from the 2013 Annual Catalog. Stamped in Midnight Muse the images from the Simply Sketched Stamp Set are perfect for sympathy cards. I’ve used the Naturals White Card Stock since this card stock is a bit more muted and earthy feeling.
As a final pop of color I’ve used the Midnight Muse 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (126847)to make an elegant bow across the bottom portion of this card. And great news this ribbon is part of this week’s Weekly Deals – so why not order yours today?

And now here is the card that I mentioned yesterday I would share with you from the Retirement Party on Sunday. It uses a two great stamp sets that are retiring on June 3rd, Button Buddies (item 122735/122737) and Friendly Phrases (item 126149/126151).
This is a quick and easy card to make that is colorful and fun. Everyone seemed to enjoy making it for one of the two make n takes on Sunday afternoon during my Retirement Party. It was fun to see all the combinations of colors everyone came up with for their flowers, since everyone was able to personalize it to suit their tastes.

Easy Graduation Thank You

Check out these great thank you notes that I created with the Embark Graduate Ensemble Download (item 133467) last month for my daughter.
I created my Thank you card once with the built in template and then decided that I wanted to try a different color combination for the outside of the card. Here is the Tangerine Tango version of the card.
And for the inside I used my daughter’s picture (yes, the butterfly is real what luck right?)
and a basic thank you above where my daughter can write her note.
I dated the back of the card with the year and school so they know when the picture was taken. If they’re like me they might place it somewhere safe and then later find it and not remember right? Sound familiar – lol.
