Relaxing Waterside

Love a relaxing day at the beach? With Labor Day and the end of summer coming up fast I thought I’d share this lovely card with you that has a ocean side feel to it.

This card uses Water Painters (168253) and classic ink to create a wash for the sky and sand as a back drop for this lovely chair. A bit of stamping and the addition of the die cut chair with a book on it’s arm gives you a perfect backdrop for the sentiment “Relax”.

This stamp set not only has some wonderful sentiments and images, the die set gives you some great accessories to add. The Relaxing Waterside Bundle (167928)

is part of a the Waterside Retreat Suite (167932) that includes not only the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper (167920) but also a fun Loose Anchor Trinkets (167931).

You can see all these products in my Online Store.

Ahh… the start of summer. I can’t believe Memorial Day is Monday already. My how the spring has flown. School is coming to the end, graduations are in full swing and the temperatures are rising. And Memorial Day always means the start of those days on the water or at least has me dreaming of them. Whether the beach, lake, or pool it begins our lazy summer days.

So today’s card uses products found in the Relaxing Waterside Bundle (167928).

While this stamp set is part of a Bundle the card uses just stamping and a simple masking technique using dies to create this wonderfully relaxing image.

How was the arched background done? First the Everyday Arches Dies (Online Exclusive 164629) was cut and the negative space was used as a mask to fill with color. A strip of Masking Paper (155480) makes an easy boundary for each of the 3 colors.

Then the Chair was stamped and colored using our Stampin’ Blends I love the way Ann used the Pecan Pie and Deep Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (158158) gives it such a realistic wood look.

What do you think? Want to give this fun technique on a try on your own using this bundle? Why not stop by my Online Store and check out the Waterside Retreat Suite (167932) today? And get started on your own summertime projects?

And remember when looking for a popular Suite like this one is sure to be, if it’s on back order check out the individual items too, sometimes it is just one product is the reason it’s on backorder and you can still find the others products in stock. The 10% discount is on the Bundle, not the entire Suite. And of course you can always enter your email to be notified when that product arrives back in stock.
