In the Moment Masking Technique Card Tutorial

I’m off to the Stampin’ Up! event #OnStage in Jacksonville and am excited to be able to gather with other Demonstrators a live event. So in preparation for another fun Stampin’ Up! event I’ve create this card to swap while I’m there.

This card uses the simple masking technique to create a monochromatic image as it’s focal point. I really like how it turned out. The Blending Brush gives it a soft subtle edge and creates a nice contrast to the bold colors behind it.

Want to see how I made it? I’ve created a Video Tutorial for you and also a PDF with the complete supply list, measurement, and step by step instructions.

Let’s take a look at Friendly Flamingo

Are the sunny spring days making you wish for summer and a more tropical local? If so the Friendly Flamingo bundle of products found in our Mini Catalog on page 43 might be just the thing for you.

Not only does this set have wonderful images and sentiments that can be used for all kinds of occasions it has a wonderful Die set too. Use it with the stamps or by itself to create and build flamingos for your project. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed which ever way you choose. This birds always have amazed me with their coloring and the way they move.

Here are a couple of cards made with the Friendly Flamingo stamp set (154386). This first one uses a simple masking technique to create a colorful backdrop for the flamingo.

And this next card uses a fun technique using our Stitched Rectangles Dies (151820) to create a triple layer effect.

And if you want to see the fun flamingo made with the Flamingo Dies (154313), here is a card I shared with you earlier.

With just a bit of sponging this little guy packs a punch.
