Groovy Love

I’m hoping everyone had a wonderful New Years Day and will find 2015 a healthy, happy,  and prosperous one!

Well my New Years Eve was rather crazy since I had to handle last minute unplanned appointments for follow up tests – so I didn’t get to post the project as planned. Bad news for my plans, but good news for me. LOL

The house was also filled with quite a few young adults who had come to ring in the new year with our children. Some of the gang crashed overnight in my classroom on the floor! Here they are around the breakfast table on New Years Day – It was a very late night but lots of fun and they worked up quiet an appetite the night before. (That is our son, Johnathan on the right.)

New Years Day Party

So instead I’m playing catch up and I’m going to share our project that we made at the Customer Appreciation Day  with you today.

Groovy Love Customer Appreciation Day

This card that I cased uses the Groovy Love stamp set (134243/134246) that you can find in our Annual Catalog (on page 110). The set has some fun trendy images that coordinate with our Sweetheart Punch (133786) so it’s fun and easy to use.

And do you see the Fun Frames Embossing Folder (133727) that we used as a back drop? We simply ran our card stock through the Big Shot without any tabs and then sponged it lightly with Crumb Cake ink to make it pop! Love the technique and the vintage feel of the card.

For my little bow I simply layered the Crochet Trim, Strawberry Slush Baker’s Twine and then pulled a few strands off my Burlap Ribbon and wrapped it around the two and tied my bow. Love this Burlap Ribbon it can be used all kinds of ways!

What do you think? Great for Valentine’s Day or what?

Serene Silhouettes

Yesterday I showed you a Valentine project using the A Round Array Stamp Set. Today’s card uses the Serene Silhouettes stamp set as it’s focal point, and same sentiment from the A Round Array. (The A Round Array set is really a great all occasions set with some lovely images. Want to see them all  – click here.)

I really love the images in the Serene Silhouettes (132073/127324). I think they are elegant and timeless and can be used with all kinds of occasions.

Serene Silhouettes

I stamped this card during Leadership during one of the Shoebox Swaps. (I wish I could tell you who designed it, but there was no name included.)

Serene Silhouettes Leadership Swap 2014

I really like the colors chosen and  the layout. The Red Glimmer Paper gives it some “bling” and a pop of color, just right for Valentine’s Day. But I think this layout works well for other occasions too. What do you think? Can you see a birthday or even a sympathy card with just a couple of changes?

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Serene Silhouettes (132073/127324) and A Round Array (129087/129090)

Inks: Marina Mist (126962) and StazOn Black (101406)

Paper: Red Glimmer Paper (121790), Basic Black (121045), and Whisper White (100730)

Accessories: 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch (129404), 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch (127811), Basic Black 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (119261), Bitty Butterfly Punch (129406), Small Heart Punch (117193), and Stampin’ Sponges (101610)

Sweetheart Treat Bags

Did you know that our A Whole Lot of Love promotion has been extended until February 14th? What does that mean? You can still get the great products and kits until February 14th – Yippie, right? Click HERE to see more about A Whole Lot of Love promotion and the items that are included.

Here is project I made with the Sweetheart Treat Bags (134610) and the Love You to the Moon stamp set (133140/133143) and stepped up a bit with a couple of things not included in the kit.

Love You to the Moon Sweetheart Treat Bag

I filled this little Sweetheart Treat Bag with chocolate kisses and then stamped my image from the Love You to the Moon stamp set in Real Red (126949). Punched it out using the Ticket Duo Builder Punch (126883) and layered that onto a Real Red punched ticket that I cut in half. Stapled a little piece of our Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon (125582) and the banner that comes in the kit to the bag to seal it, and then added my image using a dimensional. Quick and easy peasy!

You can see my Sweetheart Treat Bag with just the kit elements HERE.

Want to see a Valentine 3d swap that I received during Leadership? This one is great project for the kids or even a teacher to use for class Valentines.

A Round Array Leadership Swap 2014

It just requires some pencils and our 1″ x 8″ Cello Bags (124134).  The cute little image from the A Round Array stamp set (129087/129090) was stamped in Real Red and punched out with our 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch (129404). Then layered onto a 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch (127811) with a piece of Real Red 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and attached to the cello bag.

How much easier can it get right? Any child would love this as their class treat. A new pencil was always a hit with my kids.

Crazy, Mixed-Up Love

Today’s little treat is such a great Valentine treat. I think it is just too cute!

Crazy, Mixed Up Love Leadership 2014 swap 3d (1)

This treat uses the little plastic condiment containers any they can be filled with any type of small candy. Here is a side view – this one is filled with M&Ms.

Crazy, Mixed Up Love Leadership 2014 swap 3d (2)

This little treat was made using the Crazy, Mixed-Up Love stamp set (131068/131071) from the 2013 Annual Catalog (page 30). The images in this set are fun and quirky.

I received this as one of my 3d swaps during Leadership from Lyssa Swolanke, one of my fellow Demonstrators. It’s cute and easy to do using the chalk board technique for the image. Just embossing the image using White Embossing Powder and then use a sponge to rub on a little of our Whisper White Craft Ink. How much simpler can you get, right? And what a great little treat to send to class with your child.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Crazy, Mixed-Up Love (131068/131071)

Inks: Whisper White Craft Pad (101731)

Paper: Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper (132995), Pink Pirouette (111351), Basic Black (121045), and Mellon Mambo Card Stock (115320)

Accessories: White Embossing Powder (109132), Heat Tool (129053), 1 3/8″ Circle Punch (119860), 1 3/4″ Circle Punch (119850), 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch (118874), and Stampin’ Sponges (101610)

Here is a great treat to give this Valentine’s Day or with this sentiment maybe even for a baby Shower? Love You to the Moon is a stamp set that we can all relate to and has something for everyone.

Technology glitches – some of you may have noticed that my format looks a little odd sometimes in my posts – technology is sometimes a pain, right? Now that I’m back home and back on track, this little glitch is next on my list of to dos – so please bear with me while I get things straightened out.

Also, several of you have told me how much you enjoyed my sharing my experience with you in my Leadership posts.

I wanted you to know that I love to hear from you and hope that you will share your comments with me here on my blog too. It really makes my day to read your comments and know that you are enjoying my posts.

Commenting back to you is one of the glitches I’m dealing with and trying to straighten out. But I wanted you to know that I do read each and every comment and look forward to reading them each day.

So help me catch all the problems – let me know if you see something that isn’t working right.

Sweetheart Treat Bags

Here is a quick and easy Valentine treat for family and friends using our Sweetheart Treat Bag kit (134610). The Sweetheart Treat Bags kit comes with 12 heart sacks, banners and Baker’s Twine, all ready pre-cut and ready to use. So it made this project sooo easy – just stamp, fill, tie and go!

Love You to the Moon Sweetheart Treat Bags (2)

The image on this bag is from the Love You to the Moon stamp set from the Occasions Catalog (page 25). I chose set because the images and sentiments are great for all kinds of occasions, not just Valentine’s Day.

Love You to the Moon

After all who hasn’t told their child,  “I love you to the moon and back”? Of course the note will work perfectly for my daughter, since music is her thing – so we’ll be making these up as a little surprise for her friends at school.

Stampin’ Up! has made up several kits to make your Valentine’s Day quick and easy – why not check them all out?

Love You More

Today I fly home to Atlanta – I’ve really enjoyed the extra time I have spent with my sister and her husband in Houston after Leadership, but am looking forward to heading home and seeing my family. And I’m looking forward to playing with my new stamps so I have some new projects to share with you during Sale-a-Bration Saturday on February 8th. But today I wanted to share with you another of the cards I made during my Leadership Shoebox Swap.

I love the way this card turned out using the Love You More Stamp Set and our Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. Isn’t it cute the way the little bird is holding the little Glimmer Paper Heart.

Love You More Leadership 2014 swap

Mary designed this card for our Wednesday afternoon Shoebox Swap at Leadership. It uses our paper piecing technique. You stamp the image twice. Once in Crumb Cake and then again in Coastal Cabana. I punched out the Crumb Cake image using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and cut out the Coastal Cabana bird with my paper snips. Then layered them using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Love You More (131850/131853), and Follow My Heart (134611/134614)

Inks: Crumb Cake (120953), Coastal Cabana (126975), Real Red (126949), White Craft (101731)

Paper: Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (132996), Red Glimmer Paper (121790), Coastal Cabana (130024), Real Red (102482), Crumb Cake (120953), and Whisper White (100730)

Accessories: Circles Collections (130911) and Bitty Banners Framlits (129267), 2 3/8″ Scallop Punch (118874) and 1 3/4″ Circle Punch (119850), Small Heart Punch (117193), Linen Thread (104199), Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder (101930), and Heat Tool (129053)

Hearts a Flutter Valentine Treat Boxes

Earlier today I mentioned I would share with you the Valentine Treat Boxes I made for all my Valentines today. I love these cute little boxes they are so quick and easy to make and they can be filled with an assortment of things. Today of course they are filled with chocolate!

Valentine Treat Box group

I found these Russell Stover chocolates at my local drugstore and thought they sounded yummy – as luck would have it they were just the right size too for my Valentine Treat Boxes!

I think it is safe now to share these with you since I don’t think my kids will be looking at my blog today and I’ve already given my husband his. Here are some close up shots of each of the boxes.

I’ve used the Hearts a Flutter stamp (item 129249/129252) from the Spring Catalog set to create the focal point on each of these little boxes. The Hearts a Flutter is such a fun stamp set to use I find myself reaching for it for all kinds of projects. This first box is my husbands and he got his as he headed out the door for work. (Somehow I don’t think the treat will make it all the way to Lawrenceville.)

This second box is for my son, Johnathan. Although I made this box using more masculine colors I couldn’t resist putting a little “bling” on it. So I used my sharpie to color one of our Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item 119247).

Valentine Treat Box for Johnathan

And this final box is for my daughter, Kaitlin – so I made it using softer colors.  I just love the Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (item 126844), it’s so great to work I find myself reaching for it quite often.

Valentine Treat Box for Kaitlin

I really can’t decide which box is my favorite. Which one do you like the best? Why not leave me a comment below and let me know.

Would you like to see more Valentine’s Day projects? I’ve posted more projects on my face book page Stamp with Jini?

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hi everyone, I hope that you are having a wonderful Valentine’s Day and have something fun planned for the day whether you are able to spend it with someone you love or doing something you love. As usual my hubby is working since he does rotating shift work – so special occasions are always a bit more challenging for us. We’re planning on celebrating a few days late – but hey that means everything will be less crowded right?

So in celebration of Valentine’s Day I thought I would share with you some of the wonderful swaps that I received from my fellow demonstrators during Leadership.  Enjoy!

Blue Mountain Stampers’ Swaps

One of my favorite parts of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is spending time sharing ideas and projects with my fellow demonstrators. I’ve been so blessed with the friendships and the people I’ve meet while on my journey as a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up!  I wanted to share a little bit about my team with you.

My Team’s name is the Blue Mountain Stampers, chosen due to fact that we live here in the North Georgia foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Recently we met for our monthly meeting and so today I want to share some of the wonderful swaps my team members brought along with them to swap.

First, I’ll share with you the swap that our newest member of the team made. Tamara recently joined my team when she took advantage of the Sale-a-bration promotion. (You can click HERE to see more information about the Sale-a-bration promotion.)

Blue Mountain Stamper February swaps Tamara

Tamara made this cute little Sweet Treat Box for Valentine’s Day using the adorable Owl Builder Punch (item 118074) and the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (item 129312) that she got in her Starter Kit. Filled with chocolate kisses it’s not only too cute but is sure to be a hit with anyone! (Quick hide it from my husband – Somehow he always knows when a swap contains chocolate!)

This next swap was created by Janie. Janie whom recently celebrated her one year anniversary as a demonstrator, gave us these wonderful cards and coordinating envelopes. I just love the way Janie thinks outside the box. She used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper (item 126902) and the Lovely Letters Alphabet stamp set (item 115030/127786) to create a personalized note card in different colors for each of us.

Blue Mountain Stamper February swaps Janie (1)

And finally Cindy who has been a demonstrator the longest now, brought these wonderful swaps using the Love You Much image from our NEW Best of 25 Years stamp set for February – Best of Love stamp set (item 132987)  to create her two items.

Blue Mountain Stamper February swaps Cindy (3)

I love the little envelope she made using the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper (item 126922). Doesn’t it make you smile just looking at it? The hearts were created with our Hearts a Flutter Framelits (item 130159). Both these great items can be found in our Spring Catalog.

The second item Cindy gave us makes a great gift item for someone’s desk. I really like the way Cindy used the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper (item 129309) to decorate the fabulous NEW Designer Builder Brads (item 129329) and binder clip don’t you?

Blue Mountain Stamper February swaps Cindy (2)

Does this look like fun? Is this something you might be interested in doing? Have you ever thought about joining Stampin’ Up?
