Paper Hearts Video Tutorial

Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? I’m almost ready and since Valentine’s Day is just a few days away I wanted to share my video tutorial with you for these cute little Paper Hearts. I made these Paper Hearts to hang in the windows of my house. I think you’re going to have fun making them too – but be careful they’re so quick and easy they are addicting!

Here are 3 of the Paper Hearts that I made on Saturday.

As you can see I made my Paper Hearts in 2 different sizes and I used the Hearts a Flutter Bundle (item 131098/131097) to create the spinning heart in the center. Can you see the word love stamped on the center of the larger heart? (You can check out the close up below for a better view.) I used the stamp set Fabulous Phrases to stamp the word love on one side, and the word you on the other side, so when it spins it says “Love You”.

Fabulous Phrases (item 117002/120501) is one of those stamp sets I use all the time since it is such a pretty font and it contains 30 stamps that you can make all kind of different phrases with! Isn’t that fun? I can’t decide which one I like best since I just love the delicate scalloped heart image from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set, it reminds me of my Grandma for some reason. Why not leave me a comment below and let me know which Paper Heart you like the best.

Love You with Seasonal Sayings

Seasonal Sayings is a great stamp set to have on hand because its sentiments cover so many different occasions. Cindy used this “Love You” image to create this great card for Valentine’s Day or just to tell someone you love them.

I really like all the texture the card has on it so I hope my picture does it justice.

Petal Cone Valentine Treats

Do you like to give Valentine Treats? Our Petal Cone Die is so much fun to use – you can do all kinds of things with it. Of course, I love 3d items and the ability to create gifts and treats for those special people in my life.

Here are two Valentine treats made with our Petal Cone Die (item 121810) that I received in swaps from Leadership earlier this month. Ann Marie made this first one – isn’t it fun?

And here is the second Petal Cone Die swap that I received. I love the banner with the butterfly – a nontraditional Valentine treat, since it could be used for any reason by just changing out the treat inside! Wedding, shower, birthday the choices are endless.

More Amore

Have you seen the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #129309 $12.95) in the Spring Catalog? If you haven’t yet you’re going to love it! Not only does it come with 10 sheets of 5 different double sided designs but it also comes with a sheet of laser cut hearts!

This first swap from Leadership uses that sheet of fantastic laser cut hearts from the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper along with Hearts a Flutter Bundle. Just snip the laser cut hearts apart and voila! You’ve got a great focal point.

This second card given to me by Phoebe Bird uses those great little roses from the 5/8″ Flower Trim (item #126869 $6.95) and our Paper Doilies (item # 129399 $2.95) along with the rich 1¼” Two-Tone Pink Pirouette/Rose Red Ribbon (item #129294 just $6.95) which is one of my favorite things from this Spring’s Catalog!

Hearts a Flutter Leadership Swap

Hearts a Flutter

Over the next several posts I’ll be sharing with you some of the cards that I’ve made during a recent Shoebox Swap with my fellow demonstrators. We had a great time playing with the NEW products from the Spring Catalog right before Christmas.

This card Marni brought for us to make not only uses our great Hearts a Flutter stamp set and coordinating Framelits but also the absolutely scrumptious 1 ¼” Two Tone Ribbon. I wish you could see the ribbon in person – pictures just don’t do it justice!

On a personal note I hope everyone has had a Happy New Years! – I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things now. I’m sure most of you are feeling the same way as we head back to school and work. I love having the family home together but don’t seem to get much stamping accomplished when they’re home. (Shh… don’t tell my hubby I said that.)

I’m leaving next week for my first Stampin’ Up! Leadership in Orlando and I’m sooo excited but also a bit stressed. It’s my first time going and I had so many great plans that I wanted to do and also things to share with you that didn’t get done with being sick. Not good timing but I’m feeling much better so that is good.

So, that being said, my posts may be less than normal as I hold my events and catch up until after I return. I’ll try to post… but last minute things seem to keep cropping up around here.

One in a Million

Once a month I have the opportunity to have training with my TEAM. We get together learn new things and share our love of stamping – it’s a lot of fun and we enjoy the time stamping together.

I thought it would be fun to share some of the designs from this month’s meeting with you over the next few of days – I think they were great.

This first card was titled Floral Heart and was Cindy’s shoebox swap. I thought it was just fantastic and since I needed to make a card for a wedding this past weekend it was also perfect timing.
