Guy Greetings

Stampin’ Up! is holding their Leadership Conference later this week and I’m putting my last minute touches on the projects so I thought I would share one of them today.

This card is made using the Guy Greetings set from the Occasions Catalog. I love this stamp set and it’s images, it has such a great selection of greetings for the guys in our lives and it also lends itself well to cards with a lot of texture. It also is available in ALL three types of stamps – have you noticed that in the Occasions Catalog? Stampin’ Up! has heard us and has responded to us by offering this stamp set in wood, clear mount, and photopolymer!!! Now you can have your cake and eat it too!

Anyhow, so here is what I came up with.

What do you think? I’m hoping it is a hit during my Shoebox Swap on Wednesday afternoon with my fellow demonstrators.

Oh, What fun it is to swap!!

Speaking of swaps I’ve held my first organized swap by mail with my fellow demonstrators. What fun it was to go to the mail box each day and get another package of cards. All total there were 45 different cards using stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure. I can’t wait to share some of them with you when I return from Leadership.

After several hours of sorting and packaging here is everything ready to go back to those who participated. I know it will feel like Christmas to them when they see their package in their mail box later this week (weather willing.)

Hello Life Valentine Petite Cafe’ Bags

Have you seen the Hello Life stamp set found on page 31 in the Occasions Catalog? I find myself reaching for this fun set time and time again. The images are a great size for all kinds of projects!

Here is a Petite Café bag that I created for my daughter and her friends for Valentine’s Day during my weekend retreat.

Can you guess what the treat contains? There is a funny story attached to this treats and everyone at the retreat thought it was rather funny what I was placing inside when I showed them what I was working with!

I chose our Petite Café Bags since they were shape “forgiving” and my little treat was an odd shape. Here is the completed bags – one for each friend.

Want to know what is inside? Well of course I had to add a little bit of chocolate since who can’t use a little chocolate in their lives, right? But the “big” item my daughter picked out while checking out the clearance isle in our local Wally world…….

Yep…. Play-doh! Would you believe? I was shocked when she got so excited about this find on the shelf. But apparently she and college friends are going to have a blast with the Play-doh. She picked out a different color for each one to have during those stressful college days! LOL. I’m hoping she’ll take some photos for me. I’d love to see the group and what they end up making together! (Isn’t it great – It’s fun to see that little glimmer of the young child she used to be – my kids loved spending hours playing with the homemade play-doh on our kitchen table. Sigh… they grow up sooo fast!)

Letterpress Winter Thank You

Yesterday I shared with you the little goodie and some pictures from the Customer Appreciation Day. Over the next couple of days I’ll share with you the three projects we made. Endless Wishes

Today’s cards are clean and simple and very easy to reproduce in large numbers for last minute holiday cards that you may need or even a winter birthday.

This first card was made with the Endless Wishes stamp set. I just love the font that this set uses it simple and elegant.

I’ve team this set up with Lost Lagoon – a great winter color. Doesn’t it just make you think brrr. LOL. Added a bit of our Silver Glimmer Paper and Rhinestone Basic Jewels for some glitz and called it a day.

My second card today uses the White Christmas stamp set and the deer image. This is a two-step set and so you can have lots of combinations depending on what you’d like or need.

I’ve made this card for one of my male friends who is celebrating his birthday right before Christmas and since he is a sportsman, thought he’d enjoy the deer. What do you think? Christmas or Birthday? I’m thinking this set is versatile enough for those holiday birthdays we have too.

Letterpress Winter

Today’s card was created using the Letterpress Winter stamp set from the Holiday catalog. It’s a quick and easy card to create and I love the soft winter colors found in the All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper that was my creative starting point.

The Frosted Sequins add a bit of sparkle and the All is Calm Washi Tape a bit of texture and interest.

I love this layout – it’s a bit different since I cut the card base 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored it at 5 1/2″. And can you see where I tore the card stock so that the Designer Series Paper peeks out?

Need a thank you or winter party invitation? Just swap out the sentiment for one of the others in the set!

They are quick and easy to my Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper that I cut a 1/4″ smaller than my card stock. That allowed a bit of the Blackberry Bliss card stock to peek out along the edges. Can you see it?

I’ve used the For All Things stamp set and the Note Tag Punch to create the tag on my triangle box. And of course the yummy Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon – love this color and it’s soooo on trend.
