Phrases & Frames Fun Fold

Today’s card uses a fun fold and the Phrases & Frames Bundle (167587).

This particular card uses the frame not only to highlight the sentiment but also along the inside of the card panel in a tone on tone accent. I love the colors pulled from the Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper (167904) on the front of the card. And how about the small details on the frame created with our NEW White Gel Pens (166642), fun right?

The largest frame has been cut down and placed back to back in order to add some fun texture.

Here are the Phrases & Frames Impression Dies (167586) so you can see the frame I’m referring too in the center right.

These frames are really quite cool since you can add the Impressions Plate (167767) when you die cut them and it gives them extra texture that really makes the details pop!

Here is a top view of the card so you can see the fun fold Ann created for this card.

This fun fold uses a 4 1/4″x 11″ piece of card stock as it’s base that has been scored at the 1 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ marks. The 1 3/4″ piece is folded back on it’s self. Then the 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece has been adhered to the that which is really quite cool since it mats the Lost Lagoon layered piece with the card base itself.

I can’t wait to try this fun fold myself.

Fern & Flora

Do you like basic stamping or is your favorite Designer Series Paper on back order? If you haven’t used simple stamping to create a back drop for your focal point today’s card shows you just how simple it can be.

For this card the first layer ferns were stamped onto Soft Sea Foam with Peaceful Pine Classic Ink randomly. Then the texture stamp was stamped onto punchout out circles using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch (Online Exclusive 119850) and 2″ Circle Punch (Online Exclusive 133782) circles. The Petal Pink circles were the stamped tone on tone using the texture image from the set. The images and sentiment were stamped onto Pool Party and die cut using the coordinating dies. Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends were used to color the flowers along with the new White Gel Pens (166642) used to color the buds that makes them pop. A simple Iridescent Pearls (158987) bring in the white again along with the moth that has a touch of Pool Party added to him.

Simple stamping is a great way to get started creating and allows us to use just the stamp set and dies brining us back to how we started stamping years ago. So why not give it a try?
