Sunset Coast Birthday Card Tutorial

Love the ocean or lakes? If so today’s card is inspired by those every day summer scenes you see while at the waterside. Sail boats majestically sailing on the water or silhouetted by the sunset. Today’s card was inspired by just that my love of those peaceful moments and watching the waves roll in during that magical time.

This card background was created with a simple Blending Brush technique and Classic Ink Pads.

This card was created with the Sunset Coast Dies (167780) which is part of the Scenic Coast Suite (167786). And since I wanted a birthday sentiment I chose the Phrases & Frames Stamp set (167581). I love how we can mix and match Stampin’ Up! products!

Phrases & Frames meets Nature’s Frame

Do you love stamp sets that you can put with your favorite sentiment sets? If so the Nature’s Frame (167963) might be a stamp that you’ll enjoy using time and again.

This single stamp creates quick and simple cards that can be easily customized with your favorite sentiment.

Check out today’s card that uses the Phrases & Frames Stamp set (167581).

This card has been created a soft color pallet. The Soft Sea Foam panel has been stamped with Peaceful Pine Classic Ink and the “berries” colored with Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Blends.

The sentiment has been die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies (161597) and a sprig of leaves coordinates with the backdrop. Check out the adorable little butterfly from our NEW 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies (167656) which adds another pop of Crisp Cantaloupe color to the project. Have you seen these little In Color butterflies? They are so darn cute! And they come in all 5 In Colors so you’ll find yourself adding them to all kinds of projects!

Phrases & Frames Fun Fold

Today’s card uses a fun fold and the Phrases & Frames Bundle (167587).

This particular card uses the frame not only to highlight the sentiment but also along the inside of the card panel in a tone on tone accent. I love the colors pulled from the Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper (167904) on the front of the card. And how about the small details on the frame created with our NEW White Gel Pens (166642), fun right?

The largest frame has been cut down and placed back to back in order to add some fun texture.

Here are the Phrases & Frames Impression Dies (167586) so you can see the frame I’m referring too in the center right.

These frames are really quite cool since you can add the Impressions Plate (167767) when you die cut them and it gives them extra texture that really makes the details pop!

Here is a top view of the card so you can see the fun fold Ann created for this card.

This fun fold uses a 4 1/4″x 11″ piece of card stock as it’s base that has been scored at the 1 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ marks. The 1 3/4″ piece is folded back on it’s self. Then the 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece has been adhered to the that which is really quite cool since it mats the Lost Lagoon layered piece with the card base itself.

I can’t wait to try this fun fold myself.

Phrases & Frames Anniversary Card

Today’s card is an anniversary card and beautifully shows off the wonderful texture created with the Phrases & Frames Dies (167586) and the NEW Impressions Plate (167767).

The beautiful Gold Foil Sheets (132622) bring of the gold foiling in this pattern from the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive 165159) while the Misty Moonlight and Cloud Cover give it a soft timeless feel.
