#OnStage Houston and more

Whew. I’m catching back up after returning from Houston and the fantastic Stampin’ Up! event there. So today I thought I’d share some photos and some of the swaps I received during the event.

Stampin’ Up! outdid themselves with this event and the excitement was high – it’s been along time since we have been able to gather like this. My husband, Larry joined me for this event since we have family in Houston and would spend some time with them after.

Yep, that’s my cutie enjoying a bit of lazy river time on top of the Marriott with myself and other demonstrators before check in time for the event. He seemed to enjoy the energy that surrounded him and I had a hard time getting him to give me back my bag as I got ready for the General Session to start. Check out the goodies our Summer Splash trimmed backpack was filled with. A fun crafting bag tucks in the bottom and slides out through the pocket and a coordinating pencil “cup” bag in our new In Color Pretty in Pink.

A wonderful beginning for sure where I had a lovely opportunity to connect with some new stamping friends. A quick dinner at the Saltgrass Steak House with some yummy food

and then on to After Hours and some on hand stamping fun with new products from the 2024 Annual Catalog!

Hundreds of us filled the space for an full evening of stamping, laughter, and fun. Everyone was excited to see the new products and In Colors! They sure didn’t disappoint. I choose one of the Bundles, Spotlight on Nature (163579) that was offered since it has some great images and basic shape dies.

I’m looking forward to sharing these projects and more with you soon. Along with more photos from the event throughout this week.

Now how about some swaps? I thought I’d share of my Easter swaps with you since it is right around the corner. There were some really cute projects swapped for Easter here are a few that I received.

This first one is a fun little 3d treat holder that uses the Diaper Fold.

This little treat uses our Excellent Eggs Bundle (Retiring 162808) and our Subtles Designer Series Paper (Retiring 161644). And this soft and sweet card also uses the Excellent Eggs Dies (Retiring 162807) in the background for the little bunny but has a totally different feel to it.

The sentiment has been punched out using the Double Oval Punch (Retiring 154242) and the sweet little bow was created using the 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack (Retiring 161635). Sweet, right?

And finally a bright and cheerful card using the Easter Bunny Stamp set (Retiring 160272) and Easter Bunny Punch (Retiring 160331).

Isn’t the little pompom adorable for the tail? Colored with Crumb Cake Blends to pull in the dry embossed background using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder (160580) and cheerful Glorious Gingham 6×6 Designer Series Paper (Retiring 163170). The Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) were used to cut both the opening for the bunny and sentiment.

It’s the right time for a World of Good

Spring always turns our eyes to graduation and the World of Good Suite of products is a great place to start for those graduation, retirement or masculine cards that you need to create.

Whisper White Card Stock is Retiring

Stampin’ Up! just announced today the following:

We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.
We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!

The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. We believe in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock and we know it will become your new crafting staple!

What does this mean for you?

With Whisper White going out of production, this means a number of Whisper White products will be affected. Below is a list of all products that will be replaced with our new Basic White cardstock. These items are now available while supplies last with an order limit of 2 per item per order.

Beautiful World

The Beautiful World Suite Collection (154140) is filled with wonderful rich colors in addition to a stamp set that is great for masculine, travel journals, retirement or even graduation cards. Our Suites are designed to give you coordinating products that a perfect for our advanced stampers who like to create more elaborate projects. But they are also great for our stampers who are just starting as you can choose the individual products that appeal to you.

Check out these lovely cards made using the set. This first card uses our Stampin’ Spritzers (126185) filled with the lovely new Misty Moonlight to create a aged look.

This next card done in Cinnamon Cider, Crumb Cake and Basic Black creates a rich look with the Classic Label Punch (141491) and Tailored Tag Punch (145667) Designer Series Paper Pieces in the background.

And now here is the card that I mentioned yesterday I would share with you from the Retirement Party on Sunday. It uses a two great stamp sets that are retiring on June 3^rd, Button Buddies (item 122735/122737) and Friendly Phrases (item 126149/126151).

This is a quick and easy card to make that is colorful and fun. Everyone seemed to enjoy making it for one of the two make n takes on Sunday afternoon during my Retirement Party. It was fun to see all the combinations of colors everyone came up with for their flowers, since everyone was able to personalize it to suit their tastes.
