About Stamp with Jini

My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Nature’s Symphony for the guys

Have you seen the Nature Walk Suite (166936)? This Suite is filled with wonderful product and colors perfect for creating masculine and nature inspired cards.

And while there is some great texture available in the suite of products even the stamp set and dies have texture elements.

Check out today’s card that uses this suite.

I just love the color pallet chosen of Basic Beige, Pretty Peacock and Old Olive. And since it has been stamped on our Very Vanilla Card stock (166784) it gives a softer earthier feel to the images stamped.

The sentiment has been stamped and then fussy cut and mounted onto another fussy cut piece of Pretty Peacock to create a mat or shadow effect. A bit of our Linen Thread (104199) has been looped a couple of times and placed behind the sentiment. And finally a couple of patterns of the beautiful Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (166912) has been used to pull all the colors together and create a lovely backdrop for the image.

If you haven’t used our Very Vanilla Card stock you’ll want to be sure to give it a try for cards like this. I especially love using this paper to create a softer feel and my fall and winter cards when the Basic White feels a bit stark.

You can find these products in my Online Store, so why not take a look today?

Cute, right? I hope you can see all the lovely texture and details this card has. First the background is dry embossed using the All in a Row Embossing Folder (166989). Then the fun and colorful Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper (166939) has been placed behind a piece of Vellum 12×12 Specialty Paper (Online Exclusive 167099) to give it a softer look and so the little bunny and basket looks like it just pops off the card. The basket has been cut out of Basic Beige card stock and strip of Pastels Shimmer Specialty Paper (167198) reminding me of my childhood basket. Woolly Friends Valentine Treat Holder Tutorial

Need a last minute Valentine Treat for family or friends? How about a cute little bag? Today’s project is one that I whipped up to hold two little Kit Kat bars that I found at my local Target and could resist picking up. These cute little bears were wrapped in what looked like to me Poppy Parade and Pretty in Pink and Flirty Flamingo wrappers that I thought would match our Made with Love Designer Series Paper perfectly!

And since they came in a smaller package I wouldn’t have a lot of chocolate temping me after I made the treats. That’s a win, win for me.

Here is the little treat I made with them.

Cute right? I fell in love with this little lamb as soon as I saw the Woolly Friends stamp set (166881) and it’s coordinating Woolly Friends Builder Punch (166887) in the January – April Mini Catalog. AND since I’ve always loved punches I knew it would be one of my first purchases from the Mini.

Here is a quick tutorial for you to learn how I created this fun little treat.

I’ve also made a PDF tutorial for you with measurements, instructions, and link to the video tutorial so everything is in one place when you are ready to create.

Unbridled Beauty

Are you a fan of horses? I know my sister loved them as a child and had plastic ones that were about 8 inches or so that she played with all the time. As she got older we got a Shetland pony that would pick up a bottle and drink it which I thought was pretty cool. Later she taught me how to ride and she went on to do some competitions. So every time I see a beautiful stamp set with horses like the Unbridled Beauty stamp set (Online Exclusive 167219) I think of her and those childhood memories.

Today’s card uses this lovely set to create a card that with it’s sentiment could be used as a Valentine’s Day card for that special someone.

Done in shades of browns it has a wonderfully natural feel to it I think. The strip of the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (166912) and fun little Faux Bronze Pentagons (166931) add some depth and texture to the card.

So what do you think? Do you love horses or know someone who does? Or maybe just love to create with sets that make you think of the country and a slower pace. If so you might enjoy adding this set to your collection this spring. Why not stop by my Online Store and check these products out? We’ve got lots of goodies to inspire you.
