Ghoulish Greetings & New Weekly Deals

Wow… I’ve spent the last few days without my internet and boy does that take some getting use to. I really had forgotten just how many things I do that depend on the internet. Good news is, Windstream came out and fixed what ever was wrong – bad news,  I’m not sure they know what went wrong. LOL The reaction from the tech was rather interesting.

Anyhow, you want to see some projects, right? Well all this week I’m going to be sharing some of the great projects that I’ve received from my fellow demonstrators during team meetings. Today’s project are two fun Halloween themed projects.

Ghoulish Greetings Stamp Divas Swap Teresa Sept 2014

This first one is from my friend Teresa and uses the fun pumpkin image from the Fall Fest stamp set (135194) along with the greeting from the Ghoulish Greetings set (136663/136664). Cute right? And can you guess the stamp set the little faces are from that she used to create the background on this card? Well if you guess the Holiday Home set (135095) your right!

Holiday Invitation Stamp Divas Swap Terry Sept 2014

This second project was made by Terry using the Holiday Invitation stamp set (135074)from the Holiday Catalog. Terry is new to our group and to stamping, but I think she’ll fit right in we both seem to be OCS (obsessive, compulsive, stampers) LOL!

This great little 3d can hold a lot of chocolate for someone . And you know how I love 3ds – I’m going to have to make some of these fun little treat holders myself soon.

Sound like fun? Ever think about becoming a demonstrator? Want a discount or even the ability to earn a little extra cash? Great news there are few more days left to take advantage of the Pick a Pack of Paper promotion. Join my team, the Blue Mountain Stampers and you’ll get 6 packs of Designer Series Paper FREE!

Eat Something Sweet…..

Check out this cute little jar that I found in the Target dollar spot last time I was bumming around town. When I saw it I just new it would be a fun little size to use. And when I ran across these fun Blackberry Cobbler Candy Corn – I knew I just had to put the two together!

blackberry cobbler candy corn image

Purple Candy Corn – who’d have thought! And they’re pretty good too. So since I was wanting a fun little something for my friend when I see her later this week I thought I would play with my left overs from my September Paper Pumpkin kit.

This is what I came up with. It was so easy to do!

Paper Pumpkin Sept Candy Corn Jar

I had lots items left over from my September kit and the stamps were fun – I chose this one since I filled the little jar up with candy corn and it seemed fitting.

I simply punched a circle out of one of the striped tags to decorate the top. Then stamped my sentiment in Tangerine Twist and the image in Blackberry Bliss ink. (Of course I had to use Blackberry Bliss since I was filling the jar with Blackberry Cobbler Candy Corn. LOL!!)

I used a little of the black baker’s twine to tie on the tag after I used my 1/8″ Handheld Punch to make a hole in the corner. I think my friend will enjoy her little treat.

Holiday Cheer

I love to spread a little holiday cheer and when I ran across the new flavor of Sour Patch gum at the store I knew just how I wanted package them!

Orange Sour Patch Gum image

The colors on the package sent me straight to my Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper. And since I wanted a cute little image I pulled my Project Life Holiday Cheer stamp set from the self. This set has got great images,  and while our Project Life line is made for quick and easy memory keeping, all of our Project Life items  were created using our color families and work well for stamping project too!

Spooky Spooky Designer Bag

I recently ran across these fun little packs of tic tacs  for Halloween when I was shopping and just had to find a use for them.

Halloween tic tac image

I love to find fun ways to give a little something to my friends, and these are great for both guys and gals, so I created this little gift bag using our Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper.

Fall Fest Halloween Designer Bag (2)

To create the focal point I used my Fall Fest Stamp set and the coordinating Fall Fun Framelits Dies (Bundle 137628). I find myself constantly reaching for this set since it contains such a variety of images for fall.

I added a little piece of Natural & Old Olive Two Tone Trim by the stem. Can you see it? It thought it added a nice little touch of texture. And I used the Halloween sentiment from the Mingle All the Way stamp set on little banners. I simply colored the different parts of the sentiment image using my Stampin’ Write Markers and did each banner separately.

And of course the tails were easy since I used my Hexagon Punch. (What did we ever do before this punch? LOL)

Would you like to know how I made this great little designer bag? Why not watch my Video Tutorial HERE and I quickly show you how.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Fall Fest (135194) and Mingle All the Way (135770/135773)

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (132708), and Tangerine Tango Classic Ink (126946)

Paper: Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper (135819), Bermuda Bay (1311997), and Whisper White Card Stock (100730)

Accessories: Fun Fall Framelits Dies (135856), Natural & Old Olive Two-Tone Trim (135837), 2 1/2″ Circle Punch (120906), Handheld Stamper (135850) and Silver Mini Staples (135847), Brights Collection Stampin’ Write Markers (131259), Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (100082), Hexagon Punch (130919)

Fall Fest Triangle Box Tutorial

I’m loving our Fall Fest Stamp Set and the coordinating Fun Fall Framelit dies that you can find in our Holiday Catalog (Bundle 137628). I’ve been making all kinds of project with it that I can’t wait to share with you.

Here is the first project – it’s a Halloween Treat.

Fall Fest Triangle Box

Can you see the shimmer on the ghost? To create that effect I simply stamped in Whisper White Craft and then embossed the ghost image using our Dazzling Diamonds and Clear Embossing Powder. Simply mix them in equal parts, and emboss like normal. What a great effect this creates!

So quick and easy I thought you may want to make some of your own, so here is my latest video tutorial, the Fall Fest Triangle Box. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Love the sentiment? It is from our exclusive Good Greetings Hostess Set (135014/135017). Want a set of your own? PAPER PUMPKIN

My idea of the perfect pumpkin

Ahhh… it is September and here in North Georgia that means the mornings are cooler, the leaves are starting to turn and pumpkins are starting to appear in the stands on the side of the road. Not too long ago it would have meant getting ready to sew a Halloween outfit for my children. I loved planning and putting together costumes based on their current passion at the time. After all who doesn’t like a good craft project LOL!

I’m feeling nostalgic today (stepping back in time 19 years) and thought I’d share a picture with you for my children’s first Halloween together. Johnathan was 3 and thought that dad hung the moon. Larry was a Animal Control Officer with Gwinnett County at the time and so of course, Johnathan wanted to grow up to be just like his dad. I created this costume using one of the old discarded uniforms that I cut down and modified – Kaitlin of course was a puppy. Although most people thought she was a bunny –  LOL. I’m not a seamstress by any means, just using my middle school home ec. skills, but Johnathan didn’t care. He wore this costume a lot playing dress up and pretending he was going to work just like dad!

Johnathan & Kaitlin Halloween 1995

Now a days there isn’t any costume sewing or pumpkin carving, but I still love to decorate and make treats for friends and family – and so the new Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die is perfect for fall. I’ve been having a blast making all kinds of projects with my newest Thinlit!

Merry Everything Curvy Keepsake Box

Today’s project is a quick and easy one when you use the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit – Here is the down and dirty details of how I made this project.

Using Tango Twist card stock I ran the Thinlits Die through my Big Shot twice. Then I ran the pieces through again using my Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. I used some of my Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the two pieces. (Our Multipurpose Liquid Glue is great for items with lots of texture.)

Next, I stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock using my Memento Tuxedo Black Pad and colored this cute little guy with my Old Olive Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. This cute little Dracula image drew me to this stamp set from the beginning!  (Remember you can get the stamp and punch and save 15% when you order them as a bundle 137635/137636).

We don’t carry any Old Olive ribbon in the width I wanted so I simply made my own with the Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon and my Old Olive Blendabilities Marker. I love that I can customize my ribbon this way – It is soooo easy to do! (Scroll down and you’ll see a quick video tutorial on how I did this.)

I used our cute little Handheld Stapler to attach the punched image and ribbon to the box, put the handles through the hole and voila – finished!

I think this little pumpkin turned out just right. What is your perfect pumpkin?

Want to see my quick video tutorial on Custom Color Ribbon?

Another great reason to have our NEW Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers – I’m really loving them and think you will too! Want to learn more about Blendabilities? Watch for my upcoming Blend with Friends Events – it’s a great way to get started!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Merry Everything (135068/135071)

Holiday Cheer

Our Project life products are not just for memory keeping. You can create all kinds of fun things – check out this great little treat I made using the Project Life Holiday Cheer stamp set (135188).

Holiday Cheer Halloween treat

This treat was quick and easy to make using our  Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (133324) and a strip of the Designer Series Paper, Motley Monsters (135819).

I bet you are wondering where the ribbon came from right? Well our Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers make coloring ribbons so easy – As you can see the Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon is perfect for this technique! Simply lay the ribbon out flat and run the color Blendabities of choice across the surface, flip it over and repeat until the ribbon is saturated. I used the side of my flair tip to do this. Cool right?

I think Larry’s coworkers will enjoy the little nugget it holds too –

Hot Diggity Dog!

Well today is going to be a baking marathon type day at my house. I’ve got two bags of bananas sitting on my counter top that I ran across last week on sale that are just calling my name. And it’s a good thing too since Larry just last night mentioned he was hunting for muffins in the freezer and couldn’t find any. LOL

I really enjoy my days holed up in my kitchen with the tunes cranked and the aromas filling the house. How about you, is baking one of the things you enjoy? Got a banana muffin recipe you love? Want to share it? Email me a copy ([email protected]). I love trying new recipes out and someone else’s favorite it always fun to try!

But before I get baking I wanted to share with you this cute little project that I made for the dog lovers in my life using the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set. This cute set was one that I had to have when I saw it since the images are cute and the sentiments are so much fun.

Hot Diggity Dog Fry Box

I’ve done my little Fry Box in Georgia bulldog colors for those UGA fans so this little guy seemed perfect for this project. Too cute, right?

I’m planning on making up a bunch of these for my friend’s pets for Christmas this year. Just a little something, something for the four footed family members. And wouldn’t it be a great little gift for someone who just adopted a new pet too?

I wanted to share with you my tip for creating the panel of color in the back of the Fry Box so I thought I’d put together a little video tutorial for you. Here is my Hot Diggity Dog Fry Box Video Tutorial. Why not check it out?

So what do you think? Fun? This Fry Box Die is great for all kinds of occasions – what would you use it for? Why not leave me a comment and let me know? And thanks in advance for taking the time to leave me a comment.
