Nautical Fun & Bonus Deals!!!

It’s summer and as it heats up that means the beach and pool time. And since my summer memories always include Lake Michigan, when I ran across these memo pads I couldn’t resist picking up a few to make little gifts for some friends along with one for myself of course.

Red, white and blue – nautical colors and perfect for these little note pads. I let the note pads dictate which stamp sets I used. And the images went perfectly with the Open Sea and the Sea Street stamp sets.

And check out this one that I made for my friend Janie who deserves a bit of pampering lately. I hope it will remind her of some fond memories from her trip to New England last year.

Retreat Pillow Gifts & Another Video Tutorial

Pampering and pillow gifts continued through out the retreat – Saturday morning everyone received their goodie bag, or in this case Berry Baskets filled with items for the weekend’s Make ‘n Takes. Since the new 2015 Catalog had not gone live yet this was a huge hit since it contained some of the NEW 2015 In Color Dotted Dotted Lace Trim and Envelope Paper!

Isn’t the Berry Basket Die (137366) cute? I cut it first using Always Artichoke card stock and then ran through the Designer Series Paper pieces for just the sides. The cute little coordinating bow was made using the Bow Builder Punch (137414) and another pattern from the Designer Series Paper Stack. Love this option for Designer Series Paper – our stacks make it easy to mix and match like this since they contain 4 of each pattern. And with the new 6×6 option you can do even more!

And of course – here are some more of the little treats from the weekend.

I love this little Hot Diggity Dot Stamp Set (134021/134024) and it’s sayings and of course, the fry box was filled with what else? Hugs and Kisses of course! The fry box was made with our NEW 2015 In Color Watermelon Wonder and the Fry Box Die (132966). If you want to learn how I made this, you can click HERE to see my video tutorial.

And the final project I’m sharing today had a little extra special something inside – Can you guess what it was?

The petite purse held a scissors charm using our Something Borrowed Embellishments from the 2015 Occasions Catalog!

Now I know that these embellishments are retired at this point – but these scissor charms were so much fun to make I thought I’d share how I made them with you in my How to Make Scissors Charms Video Tutorial.

Easy right? And once you get started there are all kinds of combinations you can make. What fun I had designing these for our guests! Oops, I slipped in my tutorial and let the cat out of the bag – since I’ve made the blue scissor charms for my team members, the Blue Mountain Stampers and our retreat this coming weekend. Shhh…don’t tell them…LOL!

Blue Mountain Weekend Retreat Recap

The end of May my friend Anna and I held our first retreat and it seemed to be a hit with those who attended. It’s taken me a bit but today I thought I’d share some pictures and projects from the retreat from May 29th.

As everyone arrived we had a special name tag on their table along with a New 2015-2016 Annual Catalog, In Color bookmark, flags to mark their pages and a pen decorated with the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack to use with their wish list and of course a special coupon.

And of course everyone needed a little something chocolate as the night went on. After all we needed to keep our strength up as we crafted into the wee hours of the night. LOL – sounds good at least, after all do we really need a reason for chocolate?

This little bag was a lot of fun to make and they are quick and easy once you know the trick. The Pansy Punch that I used is part of this week’s Weekly Deals.

Stamping, gifts, games, and prizes…. Oh, my!

Monday night I held a Special Event for everyone who earned their spot during Sale-a-bration. And everyone who earn a spot for my Sale-a-bration Celebration was able to bring a friend if they chose to. After all, what’s better than stamping with friends!

Here is the room ready and waiting for everyone to arrive.

My friend, Susan showed me how to make these darling little tea cups filled with Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses on Sunday afternoon and I couldn’t resist making them for this event.

Darling, right? Everyone who attended found one of these sweet tea cups at their seats.

I also made these special little bags for those that earned a spot to put their projects in. Each bag had their name hanging from clothes pins. It was sooo easy since these bags were one of our past Paper Pumpkin Kits called In the Bag. I just love how everything is in the box!

And another special treat for those that earned a spot.

And of course there were a few goodies to eat too.

Here are a couple of photos of everyone working on their make ‘n takes. Everyone who attended was able to stamp four cards.

And we had to have games and prizes, right? So we played Name that Color. Everyone did great – have you ever tried to name all the colors?

Everyone was also able to earn tickets for the 3 door prizes. They chose what bucket to put their tickets into based on which item they wanted to win. Here is Genie with the “Grand Prize” a Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit (139166) from the Occasions Catalog!

Quick & Easy Carrot Treats Tutorial

Need a cute treat for Easter? Check out my latest Video Tutorial below. I made these fun little treats for my daughter and her friends at college. Just a little chocolate filled something as a surprise for Easter. Who can resist, right?

These little carrots are sooooo easy to make and when you use our 2013 – 2015 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (130136) you can make a ton of them! And you can fill them with all kinds of stuff, they really hold quite a bit. I filled mine with some Carrot Cake M&M’s – love them and loved the carrot theme! And of course these M&M’s color coordinate with Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding so what could be better. LOL!!!

Crazy About You

Today I’m going to share with you some cards I created with the Crazy About You stamp set (138856/138859/137137). This stamp set has a ton of great sentiments along with 3 bold images and coordinating punches. And you know how I love punches! Great for quick and easy card making.

For this card I’ve teamed the image up with our new Yellow Citrus Chalk Ink (138093) and our fun new Chalkboard Paper (137786) along with the Best Day Ever Designer Series Paper and Accessory Pack. This next one uses the Best Day Ever paper and accessories, but this time I used the sentiment from the So You stamp set (137165)

Easter Chick Triangle Box

Can you believe Easter is in less than two weeks away? Where has March gone to? And I just realized I had not shared this cute little Easter treat with you like I thought I had.

Cute huh? This is a basic triangle box and they are so easy to make. I’m so glad that Terri shared this cute little guy during our shoebox swap at the retreat. I think this little chick would bring a smile to anyone’s face. How about you?

Just 6 days to Valentine’s Day – are you ready?

This 3d is made using our Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Die (137547) and can you guess what I filled it with?

I found these cute little Reeces Cups, when you open them they actually have a love note on the cup! How cool is that? You won’t believe how much this little treat bag holds.

And these next cards use our Sweetheart Punch (133786) that is currently on our Weekly Deals – but hurry if you want this punch at a great deal they offer ends tonight at Midnight!

Leadership Survival Kit

Part of the fun of going to a Stampin’ Up! event is the fellowship with your friends and fellow demonstrators. Who’s kidding that’s a big part of it! And I love creating up a little gift for my roomie.

Here is what I came up with….. or at least the gift bag!

I call it my Leadership Survival Kit – you know how when you travel, it’s always the little things that you forget or are a blessing to have on hand. Want to know what is inside?

First a name tag for our bag. With 1,500 of the same Stampin’ Up! Leadership bag at the Orlando Convention Center it is always good to be able to tell which one is yours!!!

I used this stamp set Feel Goods (131916/130538) since I thought the sentiment was perfect for this occasion. It’s my roomie’s first time qualifying for Manager’s Reception – which is a big deal since Stampin’ Up! is taking over the Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the evening. What fun, right?

A little package of mini wet wipes. I found them at Target a while back and thought they’d be great for inky fingers – or anything else we get into!

And a little pack of Kleenex for her new Leadership bag –

Don’t you love the button? It’s part of the Artisan Embellishment Kit (137909) found on page 27 of the Occasions Catalog. The photo doesn’t show just how beautiful it is!

And of course you need a pen and post it notes – I couldn’t resist adding this little binder clip for keeping the paperwork we get together.

Never hurts to have a package of tic tacs and chap stick on hand. The Convention Center air gets pretty dry. And of course, chocolate – just because she might need a bit of energy. Kathleen and I tend to be night owls! LOL

Of course I’m sure you recognized the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper (137779) that I’ve used for the little purse and other projects. Isn’t it great that the one side is a neutral all occasions pattern?

And since I was having so much fun making this Survival Kit – I made this little note pad for my self too. I love the soft colors in the Sale-a-bration Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper – I love that you can earn the coordinating ribbon and button pack too. I’ve used a bit of the ribbon here along with the Hello Life photopolymer stamp set (137136).

Can you tell I embossed the sentiment using our Calypso Coral Embossing Powder (133752)? And isn’t the Pompom Trim (137898) fun? I’ll be taking notes in style LOL!
