Bear Hugs & What I Love

Do you love bears? If so, I think you’ll love this cute card that I received from Marilynn in my recent swap. It uses our Bear Hugs Bundle (140822/140823) found on page 40 of the Occasions Catalog.

This card is perfect for Valentine’s Day since it was teamed up with our Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. I like the fun addition of the Silver Glimmer Paper for the bow time and skirt too. What do you think?

Going Global

I’m going to keep today’s post short and sweet since it is rather late and hubby will be home soon and for some reason expects dinner. Go figure – LOL! (I got side tracked sorting and mailing swaps. I’ll look forward to sharing them with you soon.)

Botanical Blooms & Wine Charm Tutorial

I love these new Botanical Builder Framelit Dies that are part of the Botanical Gardens Suite of products found on pages 26 & 27 of the Occasions Catalog. They are alot of fun to work with and the fact that they “pop out” to give the flowers a more 3d look is cool.

Here is a card that I made with the Botanical Blooms Bundle (140819).

Isn’t it fun that the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper (140583) can be stamped on with the Botanical Blooms stamp set (140757)? Add more detail quickly and easily with the Photopolymer stamps to add even more color and texture to your paper like I did on this card. Can you see where I stamped?

Botanical Bloom Wine Charm Video Tutorial

The other day I shared with you some cute little wine charms I made using the Botanical Blooms Bundle (140819) for my Team’s Winter Retreat. (You can click HERE to see that post.)

The charms were a hit with my team – so today I bring you a quick Video Tutorial for the wine charms.

**Please keep in mind while the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad is a permanent ink, but our Refills are water based. If you want this charm to be water proof you’ll need to spray a sealer on them or use permanent markers. While they are not water proof we had no problem with the charms when we used them repeatedly.

Soft & Subtle Petite Petals

Yesterday I shared the wine charms I made for my Team Winter Retreat and today I’m sharing some of the Shoebox Swap items – Check out these great projects that we made.

This first card was Cindy’s she loves the Subtle Collection of colors and this card defiantly showcases that.

Cindy used the Petite Petals (133152/133155) and Pictorgram Punches stamp set (134261/134264) to create a variety of flowers. She added a bit of layering to create interest and some Stampin’ Dimensionals to add more interest and depth.

The sentiment she used is from our Cottage Greetings stamp set (138940/139962).

Anna used one of my favorite Sale-a-bration stamp sets – Sky is the Limit (141282/141349) and the World Traveler Embossing Folder (138289).

Anna also chose Soft Sky from our Subtles Collection.

This last item is a 3d item and Janette loves creating gift items just like I do!

Cute right? It holds a little note pad. Janette used our Project Life Moments Like These (138740) and the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack (140567) and Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon (140569) along with the too cute Bow Paper Clips (140559) that are found in the Occasions Catalog.

Sorry about the lighting, I was having problems today with photos since we are expecting a winter weather event here in North Georgia and it is really over cast.

Love Blossom Domed Treat Box

A New Catalog is a lot of fun – and of course when it’s Sale-a-bration, it’s even more fun! So to start the New Year off with a bang I held my NEW Catalog Sneak Peek Event on the 3rd of January – two days before the catalog launched! That meant that everyone who attended was able to play with some of the new products and see them before it went live! Whoo hoo! A great way to start off the New Year, right?

In today’s post I’m going to share with you some photos of the event. This first one is a picture of the classroom set up – to show you a bit of what greeted everyone who attended.

And this second one shows you what was at everyone’s spot.

Everyone who attended received a couple of special treats from me – and in today’s Video Tutorial I’ll show you how the little chocolate holder was made.

I call these Love Blossom Domed Treat Box – I’m so original, not with names – but well I called them this because they’re domed or treasure box shaped!

I used our new 6×6 paper stack, Love Blossoms since they were the perfect size! I didn’t even have to cut the paper!

Domed Treat Box Video Tutorial:

A great project, huh? And it holds quite a bit so you can put almost any item you’d like inside. Of course, I wanted to pamper my guests with some Valentine chocolate, (before Larry found it!) so this was perfect.

And of course, our Honeycomb Happiness (Sale-a-bration 1412788/141291) is an item that you can earn FREE during Sale-a-bration. I love the images and thought the sentiment was perfect for this project!

Botanical Blooms

Today’s card is one of the three Make ‘n Takes that everyone made during my Sneak Peek Event. Those who attended were able to see and play with the new products from the Occasions Catalog before it went live!

I love the way this card turned out.

Sassy Salutations Quilt

I love the fun font that you find in the Sassy Salutations stamp set and so I thought I’d mix it up with the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper (141022) that you can earn FREE during Sale-a-bration.

Here is what I came up with.

So what do you think? I love the bold colors found in the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper and thought it would be fun in a patch work type design. Since this card was designed for a friend who recently had surgery I was thinking get well, sick, bed, quilts. Ah, how my mind meanders. LOL!

I used one of our White Perfect Accents (138416) for the center of the flower. I like the different look it has. Typically I would have grabbed my Pearls or Rhinestones but wanted something a little more subtle to go with the soft Pool Party card base.

The Sky Is the Limit

The Sky is the Limit during Sale-a-brations and this set was my first choice when I earned a Sale-a-bration choice with my purchase. I just love the masculine image and font used for the sentiments! And since it is only available until February 15th I didn’t want to miss out!

So of course it was my first choice when I needed a Graduation card for my husband’s nephew who recently graduated with his nursing degree. We’re extremely proud of him and so I wanted to make something extra special.

I stamped the World Map in Crumb Cake on top of the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series paper, to give it more of a subtle feel and sponged the outer edges of the airplane piece too to make it feel more antiqued.

I really like the way it turned out and hope he likes it too. What do you think?
