Stamping, gifts, games, and prizes…. Oh, my!

Monday night I held a Special Event for everyone who earned their spot during Sale-a-bration. And everyone who earn a spot for my Sale-a-bration Celebration was able to bring a friend if they chose to. After all, what’s better than stamping with friends!

Here is the room ready and waiting for everyone to arrive.

My friend, Susan showed me how to make these darling little tea cups filled with Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses on Sunday afternoon and I couldn’t resist making them for this event.

Darling, right? Everyone who attended found one of these sweet tea cups at their seats.

I also made these special little bags for those that earned a spot to put their projects in. Each bag had their name hanging from clothes pins. It was sooo easy since these bags were one of our past Paper Pumpkin Kits called In the Bag. I just love how everything is in the box!

And another special treat for those that earned a spot.

And of course there were a few goodies to eat too.

Here are a couple of photos of everyone working on their make ‘n takes. Everyone who attended was able to stamp four cards.

And we had to have games and prizes, right? So we played Name that Color. Everyone did great – have you ever tried to name all the colors?

Everyone was also able to earn tickets for the 3 door prizes. They chose what bucket to put their tickets into based on which item they wanted to win. Here is Genie with the “Grand Prize” a Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit (139166) from the Occasions Catalog!

As we say goodbye to retiring products from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog we’re making way for the new.

Transition Information:

You can order retiring products until June 2nd or while supplies last
Selected products are discounted up to 50% Off, supplies go fast.
Due to high demand for retiring stamps, Stampin’ Up! will keep producing retiring stamps until May 25th, after that it is while supplies last.
Accessories are while supplies last and they tend to sell out fast, so don’t delay.

Blue Mountain Weekend with Jini & Anna – Spring 2015

Are you ready to get away from it all? Leave behind the kids, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Join us for a weekend of fellowship and fun. Bring whatever creative projects you would like to work on. You will have table space set up for the whole weekend – stamp, scrap, Project Life, Paper Pumpkin kits, jewelry, knitting, or whatever you’d like. The choice is yours!

Jini’s House, May 29 – 31, 2015

What you get:

Craft time from Friday at 1 pm to Sunday at 3 pm
Your own 6 foot table
Make & Takes
Goody bag with Make & Take supplies and extras
Access to all of our non-consumables – Big Shot, dies, embossing folders, stamps, punches
All meals Saturday and Sunday, plus snacks, water and coffee
Other fun surprises throughout the weekend
Use of a full kitchen, not that you will need it.

I have some space in my house if you want to spend the night instead of going home or there are a few hotels to choose from if you prefer. Beds are on a first come, first serve basis. Or stay as late as you want, go home and come back in the morning!

Cost: $95 for the whole weekend or $65 if you want to come only on Saturday. A non-refundable deposit of $25 is due with your registration by April 30^th. Your spot is not guaranteed until your deposit is received. Balance is required by May 15^th. No refunds will be given after May 15th unless your spot is filled by someone else. Full Weekend Spots will be filled first.

Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker Update

There have been some quality issues with the Stampin’ Blendabiities Marker line. And due to the nature of the defect that is being caused during manufacturing, Stampin’ Up! has concluded that the problems will only continue to become more widespread. Since the manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a way that Stampin’ Up! feels would meet quality standards and also provide a stable, long term solution, they have decided to discontinue the line. This decision was made by Stampin’ Up! after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment with this product.

Blendabilities Q & A

Q: Will the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad (item #132708) and the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad Refill (item #133456) still be available for purchase?

A: Yes. These items will also be featured in this year’s 2015–2016 annual catalog. (The Tuxedo Black Memento is personally my favorite black ink product and I use it all the time for my projects.)

Q: What are the quality problems with this product line?

A: When the tip is welded to the barrel, the welding process can leave microscopic (invisible) holes in the marker tip. This leads to accelerated evaporation of the alcohol in the ink.

Q: Are all Blendabilities markers defective?

A: No. Most Blendabilities markers work as intended. (I myself have only experienced a few markers drying out.)

Q: What if your Blendabilities Markers are defective?

A: If you ordered markers from me, please email or call me.

On a personal note, I’ve cried a few tears over this announcement myself since I’ve loved having this coloring option too. But as disappointed as I am that the line has been discontinued and Stampin’ Up! will no longer be caring this product, I’m proud to be associated with a company who has high quality standards and is concerned enough to pull a very popular item when it has issues. And of course we still have a number of different coloring options available that I’m sure you’ll enjoy using for your projects.

The good news is that Stampin’ Up! realizes that we loved this coloring option and so will continue working to bring this product option to us in the future.

3/13/2015 Update: it is my understanding that Stampin’ Up! is currently working to find a new manufacturer for our Blendabilities line.
