New 2016 Annual Catalog Organization 101

Ok you’ve seen the NEW 2016-2017 Catalog now and you’re wondering how to organize your craft area, right? Well I’ve got some wonderful items to help make this easier for you.

First I’ve created a quick reference for the Designer Series Paper. I like this chart and keep it handy when I’m looking for the colors in the Designer Series Paper. Everything you need is on this one easy chart.

2016-2017 Catalog Designer Series Paper Chart PDF

Labels – I love labels and these make things so easy. I like to have everything consistent so with the NEW 2016-2017 Catalog. I have created new labels for my hanging file folders, Refill drawers, and my Classic Ink Pads.

I know that the Classic Ink Pads  come with these great labels stuck to the bottom for us to use (which I love),  but I like to also know the Color Collection so I still these in addition to the ones already included.

Labels for Stamp Pads and Refill drawers (Avery Labels 5160)

I punch these out with my now retired Word Window Punch, but if you don’t have that you can use the NEW Classic Label Punch (141491) found in the 2016 Annual Catalog on page 186.

And for your Card Stock I’ve created these labels. I use them on my hanging file folders in my drawers.

2016-2017 Annual Catalog File Drawer Labels (Avery Labels 5167)

Here is a quick video I did a while ago  showing you how my craft room is organized.

I’m currently working on revamping the Clear Mount Case Inserts for my Framelits and hope to share them with you in the next couple of days. So stop on back by and check them out. I think you’ll like them!

Paper Share image

Now that the catalog is live and you’ve seen all  the wonderful Designer Series Paper how would like to get a piece of all the Designer Series Paper in the 2016-2017 Catalog for just $50?

What is a paper share?

A paper share is a group of people sharing a group of items – this time Designer Series Paper.

Here is how it works. The share gives you a piece of all the patterns of 14 packages of  DSP in the 2016 Catalog on pages 172, 173, &174 (everything except the 2015 In Colors, Brights, Regals, Subtles and Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stacks since these are returning patterns.)

What will I get?  This Share includes the following:

Pop of Pink and Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Papers: 6×12 of 5 double sided patterns and 6×6 of 2 single sided patterns from each pack

Irresistibly Floral and This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, Floral Boutique, Moroccan, Fruit Stand, Blooms & Bliss, Festive Birthday, and By the Shore Designer Series Paper: 6 x 12 of 6 double sided patterns from each pack

A Little Foxy, Serene Scenery, Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stacks: 6×6 of 12 double sided patterns from each pack

2016-2018 In Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stack: 6 x 12 of 2 double sided patterns in 5 colors from each pack

Cost $50 for each share

Add On Option:

Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (pg 175): 6 x 12 of 3 single sided patterns

2015 and 2016 In Color Envelope Paper (pg 176):  6 x 12 of 2 double sided patterns in 5  colors from each pack

Cost $11 for each share

You are welcome to get more than one share; spots are not held until payment is received.

Postage is $6.80, due to the flat rate envelope size and the 6×12 DSP. Please include your address that you’d like your package sent to.

This is like our own little Paper Stack and it is a cost effective way to “get it all”.

Fine print:

There are 8 spots for each share; I’ll do as many shares as there is interest and will order the share as soon as all the spots are filled. You can mail me a check or I can send you a PayPal invoice if you prefer.

Postage is $6.80, due to the flat rate envelope size and the 6×12 DSP. Please include your address that you’d like your package sent to. If you live local and plan to pick up there is no postage added to the cost.

I’m doing this as a special service for you, my customer, and would need payment by June 10th if you would like to participate.

You’ll need to email me or call me to hold your spot asap, because spots will be filled first come first serve, and there isn’t a lot of time before I need to place the order on June 11th.

And of course if you would like to order something else at the same time just let me know.

Spring Retreat Fun!

A day crafting with others is always fun! And it’s even more fun when you are being pampered, right? Earlier this month I held my first Blue Mountain Day Retreat and I think everyone who attended enjoyed it. We stamped, laughed, and shared!

So today I thought I’d share some of the pictures I took before the retreat. At least I remembered to do that – sorry, I forgot to snap some pics during the retreat, wouldn’t you know.

Here are the tables set up and ready to go, everyone had a 6 foot table of their own.

Spring Day Retreat Classroom (1)

And of course, my corner store which included finished items and cards, along with Paper Pumpkin and other kits and even items to decorate, retired cards stock, ribbon and other accessories for those who had forgotten something or just wanted a little extra something for their project.  Everyone had access to all my stamp sets and Big Shot items since they were available for use during the Retreat!

Spring Day Retreat Classroom (2)

“Goodie Bags” were waiting for everyone at their seats along with their name tag.

Spring Day Retreat Goodie Bag

Their Make n Take packets in addition to the goodies were used to complete their 4 projects that day with lots left over so they could make more with the instructions they got!

I made these cute little pencil holders up for everyone using the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (140557) and Suite Sayings stamp set (140709/140712).

Spring Day Retreat pencil holder

And here are a couple of the pillow gifts they received that day. First is a memo pad.

Picture Perfect Note Pads (2)

I love the way this turned out using the Picture Perfect stamp set (140520). I knew when I saw it, the stamp set was perfect for these little memo pads I found a while back!

Picture Perfect Note Pads (1)

I used Rose Red and Blushing Bride Classic Ink to create this wonderful cabbage rose from the set – and since the set was photopolymer it was easy to line up the 3 different images that make up this flower.

Notice the Blushing Bride polka dot pattern? It’s from out Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (138437) so you can make a bunch of these memo holders up!

And here is a cute little kiss holder I made using the Tin of Cards stamp set (138946) and the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper Stack (140548).

Spring Day Retreat Tin of Cards Kiss treat

If you’d like to learn how I made these little kiss holders you can click HERE to see a video tutorial showing you how. They are soooo easy to make and who doesn’t like chocolate?

Here is a photo of all the pillow gifts and goodies I made for the day retreat.

Spring Day Retreat pillow gifts

And since everyone asked for the soup recipe I made for lunch, I thought I’d share it with you today too. I think it’s yummy and soooo easy to make.

Joy’s Easy White Chili

2 T. bacon drippings

1 medium Onion, chopped

1 (4oz.) can chopped green chilies

2 tsp. garlic powder

2 tap. Salt

2 tsp. ground cumin

2 tsp. dried oregano

2 tsp. ground coriander

½ tsp. cayenne pepper

3 (15 oz) cans Luck’s Great Northern Beans, un-drained

2 (14 ½ oz.) cans Swanson Chicken Broth

3 (10oz) cans Hormel Premium Chicken Brest, drained

Brown onion in bacon drippings. Add all ingredients to a large pot and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Or for a Crock pot,  Cook on high 2-4 hours.Serve with corn chips.

So what do you think? Look like fun? Does this look like something that you’d enjoy doing? Twelve hours of uninterrupted crafting time? Well if it is something you’d enjoy or this past retreat date didn’t work for you, you’ll want to watch my calendar of events – I hope to be doing more of these events soon!

Botanical Blooms Wine Charms & NEW Weekly Deals

Do you enjoy using your stamping supplies in different ways? One of the things I love the most about crafting is the versatility it gives us. And Stampin’ Up! makes this easy with all the different choices we have.

Today’s project is a little wine charm that I made with the Botanical Blooms Bundle (140625). When I saw this stamp set and it’s Framelits Dies I knew it would be a lot of fun to play with!

Botanical Blooms Wine Charms

I made these little wine charms for my Team members as a little surprise during our Winter Retreat. Everyone who attended our Team Retreat got to choose one in the color they liked. While all the flowers were the same I used different beads to set them apart and add another pop of color to them to them.

Check back later this week – I’ll be sharing a quick video on how I made them with you.

Retreats are part of the fun of being a Blue Mountain Stamper – we do them 3 times a year and enjoy the fellowship and time away from our daily responsibilities. After all who doesn’t like  3 days of uninterrupted stamp time? It’s a very laid back weekend, sleep when you please or not at all. LOL!

Blue Mountain Stampers Winter Weekend 2016 (2)

We also hold a Shoebox Swap as part of the weekend fun – those that can’t come for the weekend craft for the day or just come for the swap.

It’s a lot of fun to see what everyone created to share and it’s a great way to learn new things and try new products too.  Here’s Cindy taking a few minutes to explain her shoebox.

A Visit from Santa

I love pampering my Team, the Blue Mountain Stampers and this past Tuesday when we gathered together for our Annual Christmas party that’s just what I tried to do.

We gathered together for fun, fellowship and of course a bit of stamping! Everyone brought a dish and we enjoyed a wonderful turkey dinner together with all the trimmings. (I love this part of the evening since it is a lot of fun trying new dishes and enjoying each others.)

Santa made an appearance too!

Christmas Party Team with Santa 2015 (3)

Notice even our dog, Chewie was in the spirit!

After we retreated to the classroom and enjoyed some stamping together.  And for those that were unable to attend On Stage in Tampa with me, I wanted to create a little mini On Stage event for them.

On Stage Display Christmas Party 2015 (2)

And of course that box is filled with our NEW products! So everyone had a chance to see the NEW accessories and Designer Series Papers and stamp with some of the new products from the upcoming 2016 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs!

Christmas Party Make n Takes 2015

And what party would be complete without gifts?  Everyone was greeted with this a couple of little goodies when they got to their seats. One had to be chocolate, right?

Christmas Party 2015 Team Gifts

I love these little boxes that I created using the  Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (139592) and the Bow Builder Punch (137414). I think they turned out really cute.

Christmas Party 2016 Home for Christmas Box

And what do they contain? Well…….

Christmas Party 2015 Group Gifts (4)

A Bone Folder for everyone that has been decorated with a charm. I made each Bone Folder Charm  with our Winter Wonderland Embellishments (139621) along with different beading so we can tell them apart when we stamp together. LOL! (Of course, they have some blue since we’re the Blue Mountain Stampers.) I made these to coordinate with their scissor charms that they received earlier this year. (Want to see the scissor charms? You can click HERE)

Christmas Party Bone Folder Charms (1)

The Clothespin Santa Hat  is sooooo easy to make!

Christmas Party Santa Hat group

Want to learn how to make these quick and easy treats? Well all you need is a few supplies. (You may even have these. If not let me know and I can help you out.)

Here’s how:

Punch out a Tree using the Red Glimmer Paper and clip off the trunk. Using the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper punch out a circle and Word Window. Attach to the tree piece. After it dries attach the hat to the Clothespin.

That’s it – quick and easy!!! But I warn you, these are so cute you’ll want to make lots of these! LOL

Being part of a Team is fun – if this is something you’d like to do why not click HERE to learn more about the Blue Mountain Stampers. And feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

On Stage – Tampa

Last weekend I was able to attend the first On Stage Event that Stampin’ Up! held in Tampa, Florida.

On Friday I was able to participate in a shoe box swap with friends and I’ll be sharing some of these great cards with you in the upcoming weeks.

Sherrie's Shoebox Swap 2015 OnStage Tampa

I was so excited to see what the new format for our Demonstrator Events would be like. While the Main Stage was in Brussels, there were 6 different regional events being held at the same time here in the United States and that was in addition to those held in other countries. All total there were more Demonstrators gathered together at one time than in ever before – and the energy was high.

When we entered the ballroom we were greeted by tables filled with new goodies!

On Stage Tampa 2015 Tables

The tables were decorated with Blackberry Bliss table cloths and the theme of one of the new suites, Going Places from the 2016 Occasions Catalog was highlighted in all the goodies on the table.

Of course, no Stampin’ Up! event would be complete without a Prize Patrol!

On Stage Tampa 2015 Prize Patrol

After all who can resist a new stamp set!!! I can’t wait to try out this new set it’s definitely a must have so I was thrilled when I won it!!!

I enjoyed spending time with my fellow team mate JoAnn who joined me in Tampa

On Stage Tampa 2015 Team photo

And the SINKS team members, my extended family.

On Stage Tampa 2015 Group

It was a great day together and while I had  lot of fun sharing, laughing and stamping together,  getting the first peek at the upcoming Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure was the high light! (I can’t wait to share a sneak peek with you with my Prize Patrol set during the Coffee & Cards Buffet in December! Watch for more information coming your way soon!!!)

After the great day we had together we continued the fun with dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse.

On Stage Tampa 2015 Dinner

What fun, spending time with new and old friends and sharing our favorite moments of the day’s presentation and training.

Oops…. I almost forgot to share with you some of the fun pillow gifts I made for my roommate.

With all that sharing we do I love to jot notes down since I can never remember it all – so I made a notepad set with pen and binder clip for holding all those goodies together

On Stage Tampa 2015 notebook set

I used the Project Life Remember This stamp set (135786) since I love this sentiment and of course the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper (138187) and  Pacific Point 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (138427).

We receive a special event bag to hold all our goodies in so a name tag is always helpful to identify ours from the rest! After all 398 of the same bags in one place….well you get the idea.

On Stage Tampa 2015 bag name tags

And for my fellow Team members and travel companion I made this cute little domed box.

On Stage Tampa 2015 pillow gifts

It held some chocolate, pen, binder clip and of course flags so we could mark all those wonderful must have stamp sets!

The next day was an early morning wake up and off to the airport to head home –

On Stage Tampa 2015 Airport

Of course, I made sure I had my new catties on the plane with me – ready to settle in and dream! I think this is the best Occasions and Sale-a-bration yet!

On Stage Tampa 2015 Airport and catalog

Oh my gosh, can you believe all these goodies I brought home with me!!! Stampin’ Up! pampers us at these events. I LOVE being a Demonstrator – and I love the fact that I get to order and preview items before they go live!

OnStage Tampa 2015

On a personal note it’s been  crazy hectic, but wonderful last few days with both our daughter, Kaitlin and my sister in town. It was the first opportunity for us to see Kaitlin since she left for the Seattle Cascades back in June and her hug was intense when I saw her on Friday morning at South Cobb High School where they were staying and practicing.

Kaitlin and I DCI Seattle Cascades 2015

As you can see big smiles all around so I guess she misses us. It was also the first opportunity for me to see the corp in action. It was really quite interesting to see them working – and they are working hard in Hotlanta as they referred to it.  I hated to tell them it’s been a cool summer so far for the most part. LOL

Seattle Cascades DCI 2015

They performed at the Atlanta Dome on Saturday and received their highest score to date!

Seattle Cascades DCI 2015 Atlanta Dome

Larry was sooo excited to see the kid – he’s a proud dad and is counting down the last 2 weeks of tour.

Atlanta Dome Seattle Cascades 2015

We’ve also been enjoying the beautiful North Georgia Mountains with my sister, Mandy. She loves the water falls around the area and was able to fit three in this trip. Here is a group shot at Anna Ruby Falls near Helen.

It was a nice Sunday afternoon hike. Even our son Johnathan took a break from his buggy and joined us for this side trip.

I’ll be back on track later this week and look forward to sharing some more of the swaps that I’ve received. So many great ideas!
