By the Bay

As the weather warms up and spring break approaches I always think about the days along the lake front growing up. It really doesn’t matter what time of year, I just love to hear the waves crashing along the shore so when I saw the By the Bay Suite Collection (160450) it called to me.

This Suite is filled with wonderful colors and images and you’re going to love the little Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls (160449) which area simply wonderful for that die that opens and closes.

This first card uses the little shell as the focal point of this card with movement. It’s been cut using the Pearlescent Specialty Paper (154291) and the die both cuts and embosses the shell. Texture has also been added behind the shell with the torn paper edge technique and sand stamped images.

And this next card also uses shell images, this time the focus is on highlighting the gold foil found in the By the Bay 6×6 Designer Series Paper (160434).

Not only one of the shells has been cut using the Gold Foil Sheets (132622) but also the mat for the scene. The Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder (159169) adds the feel of the water and the Label Me Fancy Punch (151297) add a quick and simple way to add the sentiment.

And this last card uses a fun little stitched edge to the circles found in the Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) to cut out and highlight the little sand pipers. The colors on this card give me such a peaceful feel when I look at it. How about you?

The color combination of Crumb Cake, Pool Party, and Balmy Blue are clean and make simple this card makes a soft and sweet Thank You card to send someone.

And just to share – I thought I’d share a picture that I took when I went back for my Class Reunion last September from my walk along Lake Michigan. A little different shore line that I used to hang out at as a teenager since its a bit farther north of Milwaukee, but this park and views were quite lovely all the same.

If you love the shore side too, why not check out this fun Suite of Products in my Online Store and get yours today.

Ginkgo Branch

We all need those type of cards that are a bit more difficult to make, or at least they are for me so when I saw the Ginkgo Branch stamp set (160463) with it’s simplistic image and lovely sentiments I knew it would a nice one to add to my collection.

And today’s card that I’ll be sharing with you use the Ginkgo Branch Bundle (160469).

Not only does the Ginkgo Branch Dies (160468) cut out the images in the set, it also has a lovely line image and label. Check out this first card that uses simple stamping.

This time the image is stamped in Soft Succulent and a bit of color has been added behind the image with our Balmy Blue Classic Ink and Blending Brushes (153611). The sentiment as been heat embossed and cut out with the lovely label die. Can you see the details the die adds? A couple of Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins (160387) and Balmy Blue & White 1/2″ Variegated Ribbon (160448) are added to complete the card.

And this next card uses our Saddle Brown Stazon and Pearlescent Specialty Paper (154291) to create a lovely soft shimmery image.

The Raindrops Embossing Folder (160551) adds a bit of texture to the Calypso Coral and the So Saffron sentiment layer has been once again cut out with the die. The set has a watercolor look built it to the images of this set since it is a DistInkTive stamp which makes the look effortless.

So what do you think? Is this stamp set one that would you help create those cards we all need but struggle with? Why not stop by my Online Store and check it out.
