Stylized Birthday

Today’s card is a fun one – And it uses one of my favorite stamps Stylized Birthday. I worked on this particular card recently at the DIY Weekend I attended. (You can read more about that event here.)

I love the bold graphic images mixed with the wonderful font for the birthday greeting. How about you?

There is a lot going on right now with Stampin’ Up! and it has been a rather crazy week here for us with the awful weather that has rolled through the southeast – we’ve been lucky here in my area, just high winds today now. So as I’m getting ready for On Stage I thought I’d give you a few quick reminders now about what is coming up as we transition to our new 2017 Annual Catalog.

A Few Quick reminders for you:

April 8th – Demonstrators attending On Stage (My team and I are headed to Savannah, yippee!), will see the new 2017-18 catalog first!

April 10th – At 1 pm MST, demonstrators are allowed to share sneak peeks of the new catalog items they saw while at On Stage and the catalog will be online for demonstrators only.

April 10th – At 1 pm MST the retiring list of stamp sets and accessories from the 2016-17 Annual Catalog and previous publications will be posted. I will post that list on my blog and also email it directly to you as soon as I can. Please remember that retiring items are always available while supplies last, so be ready and be quick!

April 10th – May 31st Retiring products available while supplies last.

May 31st – Last day to order from the 2016-17 Annual Catalog

June 1st – BEST! DAY! EVER! First day for customers to order from the all new and wonderful 2017-18 Annual Catalog

As I am sure you can guess, being the first to see this new catalog or any of our new products is a VERY EXCITING and a BIG PERK that my team and I enjoy very much – after all who wouldn’t want to be first?! Celebrate Today

Today’s card is one that I made at special request – It celebrates 100 years of life! I wanted it to be fun and colorful so I made it over sized and a shaker card!

I used the Celebrate Today stamp set (137138) and our Hostess set, Happy Birthday, Everyone (139171/139958) to create the card. And our fun new Brights Sequin Assortment, after all they were calling out to be used for this project!

This over sized card measures 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and since we have our envelope punch board an envelope for this special card won’t be a problem.

Hello Life & the Russell Home Service Project

One of the wonderful things about Stampin’ Up! is that they make a difference in the lives of others. In the every day, creating and sharing, and on a bigger scale such as the service projects they organize.

This year during the Leadership Conference in Orlando we had an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of some special children by donating some of our time.

We put together 400 craft kits along with thank you cards for the volunteers who help at the The Russell Home. The Russell Home is a care facility for severely disabled children and offers around the clock specialized care, plus love and a homelike atmosphere that is essential for a child’s growth and development. They also provide respite care for the parents of disabled children. What a wonderful way to spend a bit of our time together.

Here is the card I stamped. It’s wonderful to know that it will be bringing a smile to a special volunteer soon.

And now for some swaps – I choose the stamp set Hello Life (137136) to high light today, it some how seemed fitting.

This first card brought a smile to my face as soon as I saw it – I thought it was too cute and very clever. The sentiment is from the Hello Life – it’s fun and the set contains 2 different free flowing script choices. There are so many ways you can use them.

The little bird is from the Zoo Babies stamp set (130453/130456) that you can find in the 2014 Catalog. And of course the balloon is from our Celebrate Today Bundle (138869).

I love the striking Strawberry Slush and Basic Black combination on this card.

And how about this one – it uses one of our Weekly Deals – the Sweetheart Punch (133786) along with the Hearts & Star Masks (133777).

And one perfect for your Valentine.
