Flowering Flourishes

Seems like lately I’ve needed some get well cards – so here is one I made for a stamping friend who recently had knee surgery. I wanted to create a card that was monochromatic since she had mentioned she really liked the Create a Banner Card that I recently made (click HERE to see that card).

Flowering Flourishes

I ran my Whisper White card stock through my Big Shot using the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and then stamped my sentiment and images in Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink.

I wrapped a 6″ piece of Raspberry Ripple 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon around the card front, added a bow and then attached the card front to my Raspberry Ripple card base.

Flowering Flourishes inside

Here is the inside of the card – of course it’s fun to stamp that too, right? I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits (127010) to trim the bottom and let the Raspberry Ripple peek through.

I hope this card will bring a smile to my friends face when she opens it, knee surgery is a long recovery process.

Flowering Flourishes

As promised here is the first of the two Make n Takes that we made at my Luau Catalog Launch Event past month. This card uses our NEW stamp set Flowering Flourishes. When I saw this stamp set, I just fell in love with it. I could quickly see all the different ways I could use these three stamps that are included in the Flowering Flourishes set. I think it is a Flowering Flourishes is a really versatile stamp set to have on hand that you’ll find tons of uses for!

So far, I think that the NEW In Color Primrose Petals is probably my favorite of the group of In Colors this year. When I combined it with our NEW embossing folder, Delicate Designs and the Large Scallop Edgelit I thought the card had a very vintage feel – how about you? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

This Flowering Flourishes card was such a big hit with everyone at the Luau that I’ve decided to use it as my swap for this month’s SINK meeting too. I’m hoping my fellow demos will like the card as much as I do.                    Stamp Set: Flowering Flourishes and Sweet Essentials
