Delightful Sweet Sorbet

In Colors. Fresh and right on trend and that is what the delightful Sweet Sorbet is. I’m sure you’re already seeing it when you’re out and about.

Sweet Sorbet is one of 5 NEW 2022 In Colors found in our 2022 Annual Catalog. Here are some fun monochromatic cards that have been created with Sweet Sorbet.

Monochromatic cards are great to make an bold statement. They are also great for someone beginning to build their color collection since they come in money saving assortment packs.

Check out this first card using the Painted Poppies (151599) which is a image set that can be teamed up with any sentiment set of your choice.

The card uses our 2022 In Color Designer Series Paper to give it a bit of floral interest behind the focal point along with the White 3/4″ Frayed Ribbon (158138). This ribbon is a great choice since it is white and color can be added to it easily. Want a more dramatic black? Why not use our Heat Embossing Powder (155554) to step things up a bit like this card does if you are a bit more of an avid crafter?

This next card also uses the 2022 – 2024 In color Designer Series Paper stack (159253) along with one of our lovely sentiment sets Go to Greetings (158763). This set is really a great one with its different fonts, sizes and sentiments.

A bit of our 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack (159195) has been used for a bit of texture along with the 2022-2024 Matt Decorative Dots (159186). Last but not least is another card that uses the Flowers of Friendship stamp set (155358) and it’s coordinating punch, Flowers & Leaves (155373).

A bit of texture has been added with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder (158655) to the background.

These cards are so simple but pack a wallop. So why not stop by my Online Store and check out all the In Colors for 2022 and get yours today?

Chalk Talk

Are you ready to see the new Chalk Talk Bundle (item 132731/132730) in action? My friend Kathleen created this card recently for our Blue Mountain Stampers’ Weekend Retreat, and I had a lot of fun stamping it since I always enjoy Kathleen’s cards. (Kathleen was my demonstrator before I became a Demonstrator myself.)

Chalk Talk Kathleen shoebox swap retreat 2013

This card has such a great vintage feel to it, doesn’t it? And I really like the way the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper (item 130140)  is highlighted on this card, especially the little strip across the bottom. Are you wondering what pack of Designer Series Paper the Pistachio Pudding strip came from? Well it isn’t Designer Series Paper at all – So how did I create it for this card? It was so simple. I simply stamped the image from Chalk Talk on the piece of Pistachio Pudding card stock randomly and then added the small strips of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper to the top and bottom of the stamped card stock. Isn’t that cool?

Have you ever thought about becoming a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator? Whether you want to get the discount or earn a little extra cash, I’d love to talk to you about it. Want to learn more about my TEAM? Click HERE to learn about the Blue Mountain Stampers and becoming a Demonstrator.

Easter Blessings

Easter is this weekend and it is early this year so I was looking for a quick and easy card to send out since I’m running behind. Are you behind too? A mom thing I guess since I’ve spent this week dealing with doctors and my daughters chest pain that has flared up again.

So I found this great Easter Blessings card among my swaps from Leadership. Isn’t it great. I love the texture created with the Perfect Polka Dots and Elegant Lines Embossing Folders along with the little bit of bling. And since Easter Blessings uses such a great font and is a single stamp that you can find in the Spring Catalog it makes a quick focal point for you card too.

It’s Wicked Cool

I made this card a while ago and have been meaning to share it with you. I love the little witch’s feet in the Wicked Cool Stamp set, don’t you? I guess I’m dating myself but they always remind me of the shoes sticking out under Dorothy’s house at the beginning of the Wizard of Oz. I remember being so scared watching that move as a child. I ramble, anyhow back to my card.

Coloring directly on the stamp is a great way to color any image and that is what I’ve done here with the Wicked Cool image.  Can you guess which punch I’ve used for the broom? It’s the Owl Builder – You can use that punch for all kinds of things! (Click HERE to see my recent “Got Milk” Tutorial using the Owl Builder Punch.)  And did you notice the Basic Jewels? I just used my orange Sharpie ® to color my Basic Rhinestone. Yep, now you can any color Basic Rhinestones you desire what a great tip, huh?

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Wicked Cool

Inks: Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive

Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie

Accessories: Big Shot, Spider Web, Woodgrain, and Chevron Embossing Folders, Apothecary Accents Framelits, ¼” Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones and Sharpie ®

Flowering Flourishes

As promised here is the first of the two Make n Takes that we made at my Luau Catalog Launch Event past month. This card uses our NEW stamp set Flowering Flourishes. When I saw this stamp set, I just fell in love with it. I could quickly see all the different ways I could use these three stamps that are included in the Flowering Flourishes set. I think it is a Flowering Flourishes is a really versatile stamp set to have on hand that you’ll find tons of uses for!

So far, I think that the NEW In Color Primrose Petals is probably my favorite of the group of In Colors this year. When I combined it with our NEW embossing folder, Delicate Designs and the Large Scallop Edgelit I thought the card had a very vintage feel – how about you? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

This Flowering Flourishes card was such a big hit with everyone at the Luau that I’ve decided to use it as my swap for this month’s SINK meeting too. I’m hoping my fellow demos will like the card as much as I do.                    Stamp Set: Flowering Flourishes and Sweet Essentials

Ink: Primrose Petals
