Team Time means Fun with Friends

I love being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator because it means not only do I get to stamp with you, but it also means I have a Team of friends that I’m able to get together with once a month and share my passion with.

Today’s cards are some that I made during our last meeting. I love this time of fellowship and stamping – and these ladies have become great friends over the past 5 years that I’ve been a Demonstrator.

Want to see what we made together? I’ve got 4 cards to share with you today, all of them are very different.

This first card is made using the Festival of Trees stamp set (135059), Tree Punch (135859) and the All is Calm Designer Series Paper (135823) along with the yummy Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Silky Taffeta Ribbon (1358741).

This next one is made using our 2014-2016 In Colors and the For All Things stamp set (135152/135155). It is stamped on our White Vellum Card Stock (101856). I hope you can seem the shimmer of the Gold Metallic Encore Ink (132141) that the Gold Metallic Baker’s Twine (132975) picks up on.

This next card uses the Four Feathers (135050/135053) and Mingle All the Way (135770/135773) stamp sets along with the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper (135820) and the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper (132825). I love all the colors and texture on this card – Did you know you can cut the 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon using our Large Scallop Framelit (127019)? How cool is that!

And my final card that I’ll be sharing with you today is the Visions of Santa (135167) card. Simply punch out the Santa’s of your choice from the Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper (135821) using the 1″ Square Punch (124094) and voila! A quick and easy card that’s fun!

Wondrous Wreath

Love wreaths? Well then you’ve got to get the Wondrous Wreath Bundle (137624) from the Holiday Catalog – It’s so much fun to work worth.

And this stamp set is a photopolymer two-step stamp set so lining up the three layers of the wreath are soooo simple! Want to see how I do it? Why not check out my video tutorial HERE.

For this card I started with the Hardwood Background stamp (133032/133035) which is a great stamp to have on hand. (I really tend to use this a lot for masculine and fall cards. Of course, with my guys in the family who love to woodwork this stamp was a no brainer for me – since I use it for my scrapbooking projects too.)

I love the rich colors you find in our 2014-2016 In Colors so I chose Mossy Meadow as the backdrop for this card and added the Blackberry Bliss berries and bow. I’m seeing this color all over the stores when I’m out – so it’s right on trend.

So what do you think? I’m hoping my family and friends will enjoy receiving this card in the mail next week. And I think the thought is very fitting for today, Veterans Day. For especially on today, I give thanks for all those wonderful service men and women who protect our freedom and our country. I’m sure like myself, you have many family members who have served over the years and have made personal sacrifices to do so. They are a very special group of people our service members!

Ghoulish Greetings & New Weekly Deals

Wow… I’ve spent the last few days without my internet and boy does that take some getting use to. I really had forgotten just how many things I do that depend on the internet. Good news is, Windstream came out and fixed what ever was wrong – bad news, I’m not sure they know what went wrong. LOL The reaction from the tech was rather interesting.

Anyhow, you want to see some projects, right? Well all this week I’m going to be sharing some of the great projects that I’ve received from my fellow demonstrators during team meetings. Today’s project are two fun Halloween themed projects.

This first one is from my friend Teresa and uses the fun pumpkin image from the Fall Fest stamp set (135194) along with the greeting from the Ghoulish Greetings set (136663/136664). Cute right? And can you guess the stamp set the little faces are from that she used to create the background on this card? Well if you guess the Holiday Home set (135095) your right!

This second project was made by Terry using the Holiday Invitation stamp set (135074)from the Holiday Catalog. Terry is new to our group and to stamping, but I think she’ll fit right in we both seem to be OCS (obsessive, compulsive, stampers) LOL!

This great little 3d can hold a lot of chocolate for someone . And you know how I love 3ds – I’m going to have to make some of these fun little treat holders myself soon.

Wow, it’s already Tuesday can you believe it? I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend. Our daughter was home for the long weekend and so we enjoyed some family time together which of course included band Saturday night.

Here we are after helping out a bit with Kaitlin’s old High School band. The Band of Blue hosted a competition this past weekend, so it was lovely to see old friends and help out a bit. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed this kind of thing!

Well this week will be rather crazy so I might not be posting regularly. With my fall consignment sale starting Thursday night – Consigners are dropping off, I’m setting up and doing the last minute details right now. Hello Fall!

Well there was a nip in the air yesterday morning as I went to the grocery store – it was the first time I pulled on a light weight jacket this fall. Aaaahhh fall – the cool nights and cooler days. It will be almost 80 here today – so fall is such a mixed bag! It’s a good day for painting doors I guess – I just need to get motivated and my stamps are calling me. LOL

Todays card is one I stamped after looking out the window for a bit yesterday. With the wind, the leaves were rolling across the yard.

This card is clean and simple and I love the technique of using the darker layer and then the smaller Whisper White card on the top. It allows for that pop of color without having to create an inside panel for writing.

I stamped this card using Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry – two great fall colors. I used the Bermuda Bay for the sentiment and base. A bit untraditional, but I love the color. So what do you think?

Hi There Designer Bag

Do you love the fun and colorful Designer Series Papers that Stampin’ Up! offers? I know that I find I use Designer Series Paper all the time to jump start my creative process – since Stampin’ Up! has coordinated the colors in each package for you it makes projects easier when you aren’t sure which way to go.

Today’s project is one that I made using our Color Collection Paper Stacks – specifically the Neutrals Collection. There are lots of sheets in this pack, so it is great for all kinds of projects – and this one uses just a quarter of the sheet. So you’ll get 4 little designer bags per sheet -Now you can make one for all your friends! LOL.

This project is one that my group, The Blue Mountain Stampers made last night during our monthly get together. Everyone seemed to have fun creating their own little bag – whether you want to place a gift card or just a little treat, the ideas are endless with this basic little designer bag. PAPER PUMPKIN

Boys will be boys

Seems like September is one of those months with lots of birthdays and so I thought I would share with you a card that I created for a special little guy in our lives.

This card was made using the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set (134135/134138). I used the Confetti Celebration Designer Series Paper as inspiration for adding color to my blocks. I simply used my Blender Pen and the ink from the lid to color them.

I really like the fun way this card opens too.

Boys Will Be Boys is a set that is filled with all kinds of great childhood images. I especially remember the little plastic parachute dude – my big brother Mark was always dropping his from the top of our stairs over the railing and watching it land in the family room below.
