Whisper White Card Stock is Retiring

Stampin’ Up! just announced today the following:

We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.
We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!

The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. We believe in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock and we know it will become your new crafting staple!

What does this mean for you?

With Whisper White going out of production, this means a number of Whisper White products will be affected. Below is a list of all products that will be replaced with our new Basic White cardstock. These items are now available while supplies last with an order limit of 2 per item per order.

  • Whisper White 12″ x 12″ Cardstock (124302)
  • Assorted Memories & More Cards & Envelopes (149710)
  • Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes (131527)
  • Whisper White 3″ x 3″ Envelopes (145829)
  • Whisper White 8-1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock (100730)
  • Whisper White 8-1/2″ x 11″ Thick Cardstock (140272)
  • Whisper White Medium Envelopes (107301)

Our new Basic White products will become available to purchase as soon as we have them in stock. This means that some Whisper White and Basic White products may be available at the same time. Additionally, due to the nature of sourcing, some Basic White products may not be available before the Whisper White products sell out. Please know that we are working on getting these products available to you as fast as possible.

Freezin’ Fun, Team Shoe Box & More

Every year we gather as a team in December for our Annual Team Luncheon which includes a Shoe Box Swap. For me it is one of my favorite meetings as there is lots of food, laughter, sharing, and stamping. And while things were a bit different this year we still had a great time together bringing a dish to share and a stamping too.

The classroom was set up with social distancing in mind

And everyone received a little team gift from me too

which included some items to use in the Shoe Box Swap I designed (I’ll be sharing that project with you soon) along with some Team lanyard charms and title recognition.

Yes, these are Stampin’ Up! embellishments lol. They can be used for all kinds of things!

After the luncheon we had fun stamping a wide variety of projects. It’s part of what I love about gathering, everyone has a different style and shares what they love to do. All of the projects were great and I couldn’t choose a favorite.

This first card is a Center Step card stamped with one of my favorite sets from the Mini, the Freezin’ Friends Bundle (155176)

In addition to the Freezin’ Friend Bundle this card also uses the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (153512) and Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder (153576). We colored the cute little animals using our Stampin’ Blends and added some Frost White Shimmer Paint (147046) to the trees.

This next card uses the Back on Your Feet stamp set (149385) and is a fun fold.

Also colored with our Stampin’ Blends it uses each of the images to create 3 panels for a great get well card.

How cute is that? And the final card was another get well using the Healing Hugs stamp set (148223) and the Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper that is part of the Boho Indigo Product Medley (153132). Isn’t it great we have a refill (153925) for this kit so we can keep creating?

And now for some fun 3d Shoe Box Swaps. This first one is a cute little 2×2 box using our Friend Like You stamp set (149237).

I just love the way the Champagne Foil sheet (144748) picks up the color from the Cinnamon Cider Designer Series Paper (153070) and of course the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon (153548) adds a bit more sparkle to the project.

And how about a fun décor item? Here is an inexpensive photo frame we made using the Beautiful World stamp set (152994), Playful Alphabet Dies (152706) and our beautiful, World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper (152491).

Now all I need to do is pop in a photo. And my final project I wanted to share with you is the fun little get well mini tissue holder. Perfect to brighten someone’s day who is feeling a bit under the weather.

The bright and cheerful project uses the Painted Poppies (151599) and Timeless Tulips (151164) stamp sets along with our Stampin’ Blends and the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper (152486).

And here are 2 more fun projects, a little paper box that’s been painted and decorated with our Forever Fern Bundle (154094)

and cute little nail file holder using the Little Treats Bundle (155204) and Toil Tidings Designer Series Paper (150432)

whew… Lots of stamping going on like I said and such great projects!

Menagerie Mix Up

Like mixing it up? As a child I had Colorforms – Do you remember them? Kind of like the paper dolls I loved to play with, but more durable. The outfits were vinyl pieces that would stick to any glossy surface—and each other—over and over again, for countless creative combinations. Such a simple toy but my sister and I spent hours playing with them. Well that’s what the Menagerie Mix Up Bundle (155179) reminds me of as this childhood toy since this set allows you to create countless combinations too.

And today I’ll be sharing a couple of cards with you using this set. This first one is an adorable little reindeer for the holidays.

The card also uses our Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper (153491) and All the Trimmings Embellishments (153540) that are part of the Year End Closeout Sale.

And this next one is a little lamb that is done in shades of Purple Posy and Misty Moonlight.

The Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (153512) has been used along with our Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon (144213). I just love this ribbon since you can change the color up sooooo easily. Like here, a few strokes of the Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends and you’ve got a coordinating ribbon! How great is that? And that little scarf picks up the silver edging on the ribbon since it has been cut from the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (150444).

So what do you think? Fun? I can see making this into a fun toy too. Stamp lots of pieces, mount them onto a thin magnetic sheet and you’ve got a fun toy that will give hours of playtime!

You can find these items and more in our Year End Closeout Sale in my Online Store, but remember items are while supplies last.

In the Pines

Love nature images? If so then the In the Pines Bundle (155182) might be just the thing you are looking for. This set is full of pines in different sizes and contains not only a holiday sentiment but a thinking of you too! Making it a great choice for masculine cards. Team it up with the coordinating Pine Woods Dies (153563) that are part of the Year End Closeout tomorrow and you’ll save too.

Want to see some cards made using this bundle of products? Here are 4 cards. This first one uses that “Thinking of You” sentiment I mentioned and is a wonderful masculine option.

Done in Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso with lots of texture since it uses not only the dies but also the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder (153576). And check out these 3 cards made for the holidays.

These first two cards both use the Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper stack (153527). This stack of papers is so great since it has a color pallet you can use all winter long. The sentiment on this next card is from sentiment set, For Unto Us (153335). This set is filled with wonderful sentiments that coordinate with all kinds of stamp sets and conveys the reason for the season.

And finally this last card uses a basic stamped back ground, that 2 of the images were cut out with the dies and then popped up. They are slightly off set so that the Mossy Meadow card stock peaks out from behind lending it a shadow.

And the ribbon, do you recognize it? It is the the lovely Metallic Mesh Ribbon (153550).

Many of these items will be included in our Year End Closeout Sale that starts tomorrow. If you’d like to see the lists and a video walking you though all the items that will be retiring tomorrow you can CLICK HERE.

Just a helpful note: You’ll want to check your shopping list for items that are part of the suite or bundles. Some of these products might be a better savings purchased separately rather than as part of the bundle or suite.

More Christmas Gleaming

Yesterday I shared some quick and easy cards with you using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and it’s coordinating punch. Today’s cards add an extra step making them what we called stepped up. They are still cards that you can make easily, but they do require a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine since they include Embossing Folders too.

This first card is a fun fold card. It uses our beautiful Copper Foil Sheets (142020) to bring out the copper highlights of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The foil has been run through the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (150646) for some added texture . The lovely sheer Pool Party Ribbon (152462) tops off the two punched ornaments. Open it and you have a lovely sentiment inside.

Love texture? This next card not only uses the same Hammered Metal Folder to add texture to the Copper Foil, it adds a lovely swirled background too.

The Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (151474) was used to emboss the Sahara Sand background and the copper tone Star Designer Elements (150430) are used in the bottom corner tying all the copper elements on this card together.

So what do you think? Why not leave me a comment and let me know which style is your favorite? Yesterday’s quick and easy or today’s stepped up versions.

Christmas Gleaming Cards

Do you love punches? I know I do and they make cards quick and easy to whip up too! Check out these cards for quick and easy last minute Christmas cards.

This first card uses simply stamping and layers of Pretty Peacock and Old Olive.

And the bow ties everything together – This Old Olive and Pretty Peacock two tone Reversible Ribbon (149496) is simply striking in person and add a bit of holiday shimmer.

This next card uses our punching to create this lovely card.

A bit of shimmer is added to the ornaments with our Clear Wink of Stella (141897) and again with the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (152475) adds a bit more shine. The card itself is done in Real Red and Garden Green and the bit of ‘Tis the Season 6×6 Designer Series Paper (153489) sets the color pallet.

So what do you think? Quick and easy? Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing some stepped up cards using this same stamp set with you.

Tree Angle

Here is a fun set for the math lovers in our lives – not only are things triangle shapes filled with wonderful patterns and shapes they are great to mix and match also.

And of course who doesn’t like a set of coordinating dies, giving us even more choices?

Check out these fun cards using the Tree Angle stamp set and the Stitched Triangle Dies from the Annual Catalog. This first card has more of a traditional feel to it with it’s classic Garden Green and Real Red. Texture has been added with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (152718).

How do you get two colors on the center tree image? It’s simple either use our Stampin’ Write Markers to color the areas you want or stamp it twice, once in Garden Green and Real Red Classic Ink and cut the strips of Real Red and then adhere them onto the Garden Green tree like this card does.

And this next card has a fun look to it and lots of texture too. Adding to the stitched feel of the card 2 embossing folders were used to add texture, the Dainty Diamonds 3D (152702) and Little Details (153127).

While this card also in done in traditional colors it the banner is a mix of stamping and pieces of Designer Series Papers the stitching gives it a classic quilting feel.

Fun right? And thing of the punch art that you could create with these products too!
