My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life.
I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.
Its a balmy 93 degrees here in the North Georgia mountains and the humidity is off course off the charts, but that is Georgia in August. So today’s card makes me think of the cooler days ahead, after all once school starts those cooler mornings aren’t far behind.
Today’s card uses the Life is Beautiful stamp set (154871)found in the August – December Mini Catalog on page 51.
I passed this one right by, but this card has me looking at it closer as I love the font and ease of customizing the tree. This DistInktive set can work for you all year long depending on your color choice and it has some great sentiments too.
This card was stamped using our Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Classic Inks to create a fall feel. And take a closer look at the card base – its the Gold Cards & Envelopes (153532) that are also found on page 51.
These cards and envelopes are gorgeous and the gold envelope is very rich with it’s metallic shimmer. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you give them a try.

Today’s post is a quick one, but I wanted to share these last few things with you this weekend.
So here are the last few items that I wanted to share with you for this Mini Catalog. First I wanted to share the Designer Series Paper Series Chart. I love having this handy and in a bigger print. I always print twice. The first one I put on my desk for easy reference and the second I cut apart and tape onto the outside of the paper package at the top on the card board piece – this allows me to flip through my packages easily and quickly see the list of colors too.

Catalog Organizational Items
As you know before I really get crafting I find a few organizational items helpful. I’ve been doing these now for years and everyone seems to find them helpful, so I hope you will find them useful too. (You can click on the Organization link in the side bar to find past Organizational items)

Love my organizational idea? What now? Simply print the PDF onto Whisper White Card stock (100730) and trim on lines. Then insert into one of our Standard Stamp Cases (119105). And add a magnetic sheet (I use vent covers I find at the hardware store) to the inside using our Tear & Tape (138995). Got a big set? Add the sheet to the front and back covers to hold more! Yes it’s that easy.

When will this happen?
The CURRENT online store will go disappear at midnight (MT) on the 4th of August and will remain offline permanently from that point forward.
The NEW online Store site will go live at 7:00 AM (MT) on the 4th of August, at which point you can start ordering from the 2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalog and any other current product
What do I need to know?
Since this will be a brand new website, your account password will only work if you enter it manually (for the first time) as your saved passwords won’t work.
If you know your password – then you’re all set and to go.
If you have your password saved and bookmarked in your browser – You’ll need to enter it manually as it will not “auto-fill” from your password safe.
If you DONOT remember your password, log into your account prior to the end of the day today. Create a new password and write it down so you can use it tomorrow.
After logging in on August 4th for the first time, you can save and bookmark your password again along with the new website.
Stuff happens and It is possible your password may or may not work on the new site. If it doesn’t all you need to do is request a new password by entering your email address.
If you need to create a password after today, you’ll want to look in your spam folder if you don’t receive it fairly quickly.
Make sure that you are shopping with me

Check out these two cards using the set. This first card uses our Water Painters (151298) to add some color the images.
And this card is done in Cinnamon Cider, Mossy Meadow and Misty Moonlight – what a great masculine color combo.
Simple heat embossing was done for the glass and then VersaMark was used to create the bottom tone on tone panel. Texture was added using our Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder (152718).
So what do you think? This old fashioned sentiment makes me think of the mock brandy old fashions that my dad use to make for me at our tavern growing up. It was a real treat and made me feel so grown up.

Today I’m thinking of the shore of Lake Michigan and the trips I used to make as a teenager to the beach in Milwaukee with my Beach Boys playing on the radio. Ahh… I’m dating myself but I used to love to watch the waves roll in and the boats on the lake. It didn’t matter what time of year it was always a wonderful view. It’s been many years since I’ve done that, but the memories still make me smile and bring back that summer time feel. So today I’m sharing some wonderful cards made with the Sailing Home stamp set.
This first card focuses on the sail boat and uses our wonderful Seabed 3D Embossing Folder (152700) and In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (152494).
The sentiment from the Rustic Retreat stamp set (150285) has been punched out with the Timeless Label Punch (149516). This next card uses some simple sponging to create the waves under the sail boat.
And these next two cards use some simple techniques to make them extra special. This first card uses a torn edge to create the land for the light house.
And this final card uses some simple sponging done in the corner. A simple mask was used to create the sharp lines, simply by placing a couple of sticky notes to mask off the area.

NOTE: The first share/swatch books can be expected in about 2 weeks after I place the order. Here is how my paper shares/swatch books work… first I save your spot and collect your payment, then I place the order, receive the order, cut and package the paper, package up your swatch book/share for mailing and then take them to the Post Office to ship.
It’s summer and that means the birds are here and doing their thing. I know in my back yard I’ve watched both the Bluebirds and Barn Swallows build nests, eggs hatch and those babies are now flying. It always amazes me how fast they grow after they hatch. Last night after the rain the Swallows were having a grand ole time swooping onto the pool surface and catching their insects for dinner.
So that naturally made me think of our new Birds & Branches Bundle found in the Annual Catalog on page 120.
