My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends.
For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life.
I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.
Today starts a new week for our Weekly Deals! Get great items you’ve been wanting AND save!

Check out these quick and easy treats I made for friends and family using the supplies I found in my January Paper Pumpkin Kit – Cute Conversations.
The kit came with a ton of stuff – along with a great stamp set, ink and adhesives! I love the Watermelon Sequin Trim included in this kit. What fun!
So after watching the quick little video I set to work. (You can see it below) I liked the projects as designed but the cute little pouch that was created using two of the hearts wasn’t big enough for all the treats I had bought.
Here is the original little pouch I made for my daughter.
As you can see it holds these cute little tic tac mints that have little sayings printed on them – I couldn’t resist!
Since I had the chocolate I stepped it up a bit with out Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (137547) that are currently found on the Weekly Deals, but if you want these at a great price you’ll want to order them today! Since these Weekly Deals end tonight.
What’s the chocolate?
A favorite in our house and as you can see our little Mini Treat Bag made with the Thinlits Dies holds a lot since there was plenty of room to add a little something more to this chocolate. If you’d like to see all the variations of the little treat bags I made you can stop by my face book page HERE.
And my final project is this cute little candy holder I made as a little goodie for my Technique Class yesterday.
It holds, a piece of Dove chocolate – Want to know how I made these? Well it was easy with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334). I scored down from the top of the heart 1 1/2″ and then again at the 3″ mark. And scored again 1″ in on each side of the heart.Next I stamped the sentiment I wanted in the space created by the fold lines. Folded the sides in and added a touch of Snail Adhesive to hold the candy and then folded the Folded the top (rounded part) of the heart over candy and adhered the point with a Glue Dot (103683)! Decorated it as desired and voila! A sweet little treat!
Want to see the kit in action? Here is the video –

Today’s projects are some that I made for my daughter and her college friends. After all who doesn’t need post its when you’re writing all those college papers, right? I know my desk is littered with all kinds of notes – over the years them become my to do lists. LOL!
I found these cute little note pads at my local dollar spot and knew they would be perfect for the kids. This first one is an easel holder. I wanted to make it look like the notes conversation hearts – so I chose one of the sentiments and stamped it onto So Saffron card stock and then punched it out using my Sweetheart Punch (133786).
I used the soft Wisteria Wonder pattern from the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack (140567) to add a bit more umpf. And keeping it soft, I teamed it up with the Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride card stock. The colors once again reminded me of the conversation hearts that have been around forever.
This second little note pad is a bit more elegant and holds the second post it note pad that came in the package – since it only had two little hearts in the corner of the pad I went a bit bolder and used our Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper (140655) and pulled the colors Watermelon Wonder and Mossy Meadow for the card stock base.
I then used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp. I added a third color, Early Espresso, for the words and of course once again the Watermelon Wonder and Mossy Meadow from the In Colors.
I love punches, they make things so easy and my 2″ Circle was perfect for this sentiment. If you’re new to stamping our circles and scallop circles are a great place to start – they’ll make quick and easy focal points such as these!
And the final project for today is a card that uses the Bloomin Love stamp set.
It’s raining once again here in North Georgia so it was tough to get a good photo. I hope you can see the richness of this Gold Embossed heart. Maria used the soft Blushing Bride card stock and teamed it up with our Basic Black for this classic look.

And this second one is from Marni – Isn’t the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper lovely? I find I am reaching for it time and again. I can’t get enough of this stuff.
