Fun new project using the Best Dressed Suite

Today I’m going to share with you a fun project that I created to hold a couple of post it note pads. I think it’s a great little gift to give someone too! Want to see it?

So what do you think? It uses the Dressed to Impress Bundle and the stamping is on the inside for a little surprise message along with two little post it note pads.

I used what I had here in my closet of goodies but of course if you wanted to you could put a larger post it note pad inside – I did see that they come in the bigger size when I went looking the other day. I was just too impatient to wait on a delivery to start working on my idea. I call it a purse but really I guess it is a clutch since it doesn’t have handles. 🙂

I’ve got a video tutorial and PDF for you so you can make some too! They are pretty simple to make.

Shoe Box Fun at the Team Weekend Getaway

I mentioned last Friday that I was getting ready for my team retreat – we gather 3 times a year for weekends of stamping, laughter, food and fun. I really look forward to these gatherings of uninterrupted crating time with my peeps. They are the best and while it is like a big slumber party we also get to get to use our Holiday PreOrder goodies to create. What could be better?

A shoe box swap of course! While it was a small gathering this time due to schedules we still had a wonderful time at our shoe box swap. It is always good fun and I love seeing what everyone is creating. Here are some of the projects.

This first card is for Halloween and uses the Apple Builder Punch (150663) and the coordinating Harvest Hello stamp set (150581).

This set is great for quick and easy card since it has a coordinating punch – and a super set for teachers and back to school projects since its got some wonderful sentiments too.

And here is a card that uses a bundle (153006) that is sure to be popular.

The Christmas Gleaming Suite is filled with wonderful products, and the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series paper (150429) includes Copper Foiling that is quite striking. We used the new Copper Delicata Metallic Ink for this project (150707/150708) and can you see the subtle shimmer of the Shimmy Crystal Effects (150892) that we used for the berries? So excited to have these new option for our crafting!

We also made this fun easel sticky note holder using the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper (149500).

And finally here is my card that I created using the Toile Christmas Bundle (152367) from the Toile Tidings Suite of products.

I just fell in love with this Distinktive stamp set as soon as I saw it – the cardinal is always a favorite of mine. I’ll be working up a tutorial for you and hope to share it in the next week or two as we get closer to the Holiday Catalog launch on September 4th.

And of course, what is a team event with out some door prizes?

Goodies from the Holiday Catalog catalog – winners got to choose their favorite accessories.

Would you like a 2019 Holiday Catalog? You can pick one up during my August Classes or contact me and I’ll be happy to mail you one.

And of course how about a special event where you can pick up your copy of the catalog AND use some of these fun items too! Why not join me and play with some of the new products?

Team time at OnStage

Today’s projects are some fun ones that I always enjoy doing when we have a Stampin’ Up! event for my team. And I’m excited to be heading for our OnStage Local in Charlotte this weekend. What could be better than spending time with others who love stamping?

However when you are with hundreds of other demonstrators who all have the same bag – I find it is fun to have yours easily identifiable with a special name tag. So here is what I came up with for our Charlotte event.

I love the little charms I’ve added to the tag too. They are so much fun to make – and I found some beads that I think went nicely with what I expect to be some of our new 2019-2021 In Colors!

After the event they can be added to our key chains if they’d like. And to help them jot down all the great ideas – everyone needs a note book and pen. I used our Crafting Forever stamp set (14955/143958) and the Layering Circles Framelits Dies (141705) to create the sentiment.

And I used the sentiment set from Sale-a-bration for the inside. I am truly blessed by my Team, they inspire me every time we gather.

I’ll be sharing a tutorial for these when I get back – they were so much fun to make! I’m afraid I just ran out of time this week.

And finally some post its so that we can flag all those new products that we want! I know this years Annual Catalog is going to be a great one. (I’m sure my shopping list will be a long one) – I can’t wait to see it!

I really like the way that the note pad and flag holders turned out. They were made with a demonstrator supply folder that I cut apart. I love the flowers so I was happy I was able to make the flowers on the front of the folder the focal point, and the back of the folder had our logo which was perfect for the flags I thought.

I had planned on sharing a video tutorial with you today of the final gift, but my IPad apparently didn’t like something I did since the file is corrupted, so I’ll be sharing that with you next week as soon as I can re film the project.

Enjoy your weekend and stop back by next week to see the OnStage fun and a sneak peek at the new 2019 Annual Catalog.

Speaking of which The Annual Catalog is right around the corner and I won’t be able to mail you one if you have chosen no contact in the Online Store.

Painted Autumn Post it Note Holder Tutorial

Last month I shared with you a cute little post it note holder that my friend Cindy made. You can see more about that HERE. They were so cute I wanted to make some of my own and here is what I came up with.

I love this Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper – the patterns are just lovely and I thought the small leaf pattern was just perfect for this project. What do you think?

They are fairly simple to make and a lot of fun too –  So today I thought I’d show you how she made them.

Succulent Post It Note Holders

I found these cute little post it note holders a while back in the dollar spot at Target and couldn’t resist whipping up some holders using the Succulent Framelits Dies.

So what do you think? These little sticky pads measure 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ and I started my project by using the colors in them to kick off my creativity.

While both pads measure the same the colors were different so I made them a bit differently too.

I chose to go with two succulents for this one.

And a bold Sahara Sand succulent on the other

Check out this quick video to see how I made the Succulent Easel Post it Holder
