About Stamp with Jini

My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Painted Harvest & more Team fun

Team time = a lot of fun. Each month we gather, share and stamp together at our Team Meeting. This month when we gathered we learned how to make a special treat that I’ll hope to be sharing with you soon, I just need to whip up a video for you. In the meantime I can share those projects that the Blue Mountain Stampers brought for swapping.

This first card uses one of my favorite sets, Painted Harvest (144783) – don’t you love the little hedge hog created with this 3 step stamp?

Teamed up with the Leaf Punch (144667) & Woodland Embossing Folder (139673) this card is sure to bring a smile.

And here are a couple of treats for fall. This first one is a super cute bat created with a couple of snack sized Kit Kat bars, card stock and circle punch.

And of course we can’t forget those cute googly eyes either!

And how about this sucker holder using the Harvest Hellos stamp set (150581) and it’s coordinating Apple Builder Punch (150663)? You can get these in a bundle and save 10% when you do.

And for some fall color – here is a card made with our Colorful Seasons stamp set (143726) and the Seasonal Layers Dies (143751).

Can you see the texture in the background created with our Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775)?

And finally, this fun card uses the It Starts with Art Art stamp set (149303) and Arts & Craft Dies (149580) found in the Follow Your Art Suite of products found in the 2019 Annual Catalog. So there are lots of options and you can get a 10% discount too!

I really love the combination of colors that Sue used for this card. And the card base also uses the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775) – a great option for just a touch of texture when you need it.

If you would like to join the Blue Mountain Stampers and connect with a group of folks who love to craft AND get a discount on the products you love, joining us might be just the thing for you!

?Peak Princess Fun & the Amazing Magnolia Lane Folding Album

Last weekend was my Peak Princess event. What’s that? Well it is a special afternoon of pampering for those Team members who have earned it. We enjoy the time together, food, played a game, and of course create a project.

This event was extra special since it was our largest group yet due to everyone’s hard work – and I added a bit of a luau theme to the snack table to celebrate.

The hit of the snack table was the Artichoke & Mushroom Toast – not really Hawaiian fair, but since the Hawaiian pizza rolls I was planning on were a flop when I tried them, this worked out well since everyone seem to enjoy them.

Here is the recipe if you want to try them yourself. I found them really easy to do and prepped everything the day before and then assembled before the event.

Artichoke & Mushroom Toast

Taste of Home

  • 36 slices French bread baguette (1/2 inch thick)
  • 3 T. Olive Oil, divided
  • ½ lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • ½ lb. sliced baby portobello mushrooms
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 T. butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jar (7.5 oz) marinated quartered artichoke hearts, drained
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 T. Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded

Place bread on baking sheets; brush with 2 tablespoons oil. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 1-2 minutes or until lightly toasted.

In a large skillet, sauté mushrooms with Italian seasoning in butter and remaining oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and set aside.

Place artichokes in a food processor; cover and process until finely chopped. Add mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese; cover and process until blended. Spread over toast slices; top with mushrooms and sprinkle with Swiss cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 4-6 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Yield 3 dozen

And here is the classroom waiting for everyone to arrive.

I shared the little Country Home Kit Kat Holders which were everyone’s “pillow gifts” on the table with you yesterday – I thought the thankful greeting was perfect to express my thanks to my team.

We enjoyed a game after everyone settled in –

Have you ever played the Right, Left Game? It’s so simple…. everyone starts with a package and then we passed our packages to the right or left depending on the Ink Pad story I read.

Lot’s of fun and laughter to go around!

After we did a Make n Take and created these lovely Folding Albums. My friend, Marni gave me one of these little albums last spring in a swap and I loved it so much. I saved it since I knew it was the perfect project for the day. I simply put my own spin on it.

It wasn’t hard to choose the paper I wanted to use. The Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper is so striking and you’ve got a ton of pattern choices in the package. Here is what the album looks like opened.

I’m looking forward to filling it with some photos!

Here is the gang working on theirs

Want to see how I made this album? The Team enjoyed making them so much I thought you would too!

Amazing Magnolia Lane Folding Album Video Tutorial

Oh, I almost forgot the tag or chip board is simply the extra piece in our Specialty Designer Series Paper packs – How great is that? You can up cycle it!

So what do you think? Want to make one for yourself? I think they make great gifts and of course you could stamp on the inside diamonds if you prefer rather than use it as an photo album. I think there are endless ways to use this amazing album!

Here is a printable version with the complete supply list I used.

Country Home Kit Kat Holder

This past weekend was my team Peak Princess event and so I wanted to make something special for my team members that earned this special event during the first quarter. Naturally the Country Home stamp set came to mind with it’s lovely sentiments and images. The fact that I could use the fun new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the cotton pods from the Holiday Catalog was an added bonus and a ton of fun!

Check out these elegantly wrapped treats

And since this holder fits a full size Kit Kat Bar there is plenty to share if you want too!

They are simple to make, use a sheet of card stock and I really like how the back opens to show your sentiment.

See how I made it and the magic of the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint here in my video tutorial.

#simplestamping with Bon Appetit

If you sometimes find the options over whelming when you sit down to create a card, simple stamping just might the thing to recharge your creativity. Today’s project was created using card stock, ink, and a couple of punches. It also uses the stamp set from our September Paper Pumpkin Kit. Which is perfect for simple stamping. Check out this cute little note card for Halloween. Perfect for mailing or tucking in with a little treat.

These little skeletons are simply stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I used the Gorgeous Grape spot that came in the kit for the sentiment and sponging. Want to see how I made it? I’ve got a video today for you. (I know it’s a day later than planned, but I wanted to share my big news with you yesterday – a perfect way to start the new year!)

2019 Incentive Trip – Maui, here we come!

I have been trying to figure out how to share my good news with you all… and it is truly big news!

On August 26th, I got several customer orders that put me over top allowing me to achieve the Stampin’ Up 2019 Incentive Trip to Maui.  On October 6th reports will be finalized and I will be able to redeem the points for an all-expenses paid trip for two to Maui July 2020. I can’t even begin to tell you just how excited my husband, Larry is about this trip!!!

I am still processing the fact that I’ve reached my goal and pinching myself to make sure it’s not a dream. I was not sure that I should share until it was official, but I wanted to go ahead now since so many of you have been following my progress.

So here goes and all I can say is Thank you!

Thank you to my AMAZING customers.  Every order you place allows me to do what I love AND share my love of crafting with you. I can’t tell you how much your support and friendship mean to me.

Thank you to the best team ever! The Blue Mountain Stampers thank you for sharing your talent, inspiring me, and keeping me on track! You have been working hard too, and becoming successful in each of your own ways. I am so proud of you, and that fact you let me be a part of your Stampin’ Up! journey. I’m so honored that you have you chosen to join our team! I could not have achieved this trip without you!

Thank you to those NEW customers who reached out to me and placed orders. You’ve touched me deeply with your kind comments and your desire in wanting to help me reach my goal.

Thank you to my biggest fans who have stamped with me over the past 10 years! You refer your friends to me. You share your life and encourage me to become better. You are the inspiration! Because of you I feel like I can achieve anything.

Thank you to my husband and family who have been supportive and have patiently waited for me and pitched in when I needed it.

Thank you to my adopted Stampin’ Up! family who have given me their friendship, believed in me, mentored me, and inspired me to reach for the stars.

Thank you so much for making this goal and my dream come true!

(Disclaimer: less than 1% of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators make the Incentive Trip each year)

Here are the details:

  • When ordering Online you must be sure to use Host Code EFXCZ934.
  • Failure to use the Host Code means your order will not count in the 10 and you will receive just the $25 Stampin’ Rewards instead of the $45 or ½ price items.

Cards, Cards, Cards…..

And now onto the penguins.

As many of you know I love penguins and collect them. (While my husband has banned me from displaying ALL of them in my kitchen like I did in our first home, you’ll still find some scattered about, especially during the holidays! LOL) My very first set that I purchased from Stampin’ Up! was a penguins set. I can’t resist these little guys! So needless to say it was one of my first choices from the Holiday Catalog.

So anyhow, I wanted to share these cute little playful penguins with you today –

This first card is simply gorgeous in person done in Gorgeous Grape and Seaside Spray. The Hammered Metal Embossing Folder was used for the back ground and then highlighted with some of our Frost White Shimmer Paint (147046) and our Dazzling Diamonds (133751) was then added to make it sparkle.

The NEW Shimmer Crystal Effects were also used for the garland that is wrapped around the penguin. Some Whisper White Baker’s Twine was added first, then some Shimmer Crystal Effects and finally some of the Snowflake Sequins.

And how about some perfectly plaid and traditional holiday colors for some very dapper penguins?

Do you like a little shimmer for your cards? If so you’ll want to check out our Shimmer White Card stock – it adds just a bit of shimmer and is perfect for winter cards like these. I also love it for water coloring and techniques since it is a bit heavier than our Whisper White card stock.

Make sure you don’t miss out on today’s promotions and then don’t forget to stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a fun project, tutorial and video with you!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Playful Penguin (150532)

Paper: Shimmery White Card stock (101910) and Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper (149596)

Lots of Cheer

And now for some cards, because I know you want to see projects too. Today’s cards use a stamp set found in our 2019 Annual Catalog. The Lots of Cheer stamp set is filled with wonderful holiday images and sentiments. And how fun is this bold font?

This first card uses the bell wreath image, glimmer paper, and the Buffalo Check Background stamp (147797/151372) to create a very sparkly holiday card

And speaking of sparkly – Our Sparkle Glimmer Paper (146957) packs a wow on this card. It’s been teamed up with our Silver Foil sheets (132178) and Rich Razzleberry for a bit of winter brrr.

Done in traditional colors of Real Red and Call Me Clover this card uses our Nested Stitched Label Dies (149638) and the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder (151785)

And this final card uses some of the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper (150432) and the Real Red 1/8″ Curly Ribbon (150426) to create this fun fold card.

The fold is done with some simple scoring so that when you open it you’ll see the sentiment hiding behind the folds.

So what do you think? Have a favorite? Why not leave me a comment and let me know what you think?

I’ll be sharing some more swap with you next week – so don’t forget to stop on by.

I mentioned yesterday I wanted to share some of the wonderful swaps that I have received and so today I thought I would start with a a fun set that has a coordinating punch. The Wrapped in Plaid Suite of products is great with it’s Pine Tree Punch it will make creating cards quick and easy.

Check out these cards – while they all use the stamp set they have such different feels to them. This first card is done using Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green for a much more contemporary feel.
