Holiday Catalog Kick Off Gather Together Make n Take

It finally feels a little bit like fall here in North Georgia with some cooler temperatures, while it is still in the 80s there’s a hint of cooler weather coming our way. And after spending the evening last night with my daughter and her band, watching them and the other county’s High School bands perform their half time shows it feels more like fall to me too.

Check out this fun fall card that we make using the Come to Gather Suite of products found in the Holiday Catalog.

This suite is filled with those colors that make us think of fall and I’m loving the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack with it’s rich satin edge ribbon and linen thread – perfect for a range of products.

Today’s card uses the Brick & Motar 3d Embossing Folder to create some texture and interest in the background. Our embossing folders are perfect for this and make it quick and easy too.

Want to see how this card comes together? Check out my video tutorial and of course a printable PDF too.

Gather Together Mini Shipping Treat Box

Today’s treat box was created special for my Holiday Catalog Kick Off last Saturday and it will filled with some chocolate goodies. I had a lot of fun making them for my guests.

Any how here is the treat – a made with one of our Mini Shipping Boxes, so it will hold quite a bit.

Clearly I had a thing for caramel when I was shopping since when I started filling the boxes I realized I’d picked up 4 different kinds. Or maybe it was because I was looking at the color coordinating packaging! LOL! Do you ever do that?

I really love how these treat boxes turned out and I can’t wait to share the fun technique for creating these wonderful little leaves and stamping on the wood element pieces that I used to decorate the box. No inky fingers! Ahh….. the magic of stamping.

Why not check out my video tutorial? Not only will you see just how easy these treats were to make but I’ll share a couple of tips and tricks with you too.

#imbringingbirthdaysback in September with Gather Together

Ahh… the nip is in the air. Not – at least not for a while yet here in North Georgia. We’re having the hottest September in years. So it is kind of odd to watch all the leaves blowing across my yard when it’s in the 90s. I think mother nature is a bit confused this year.

The start of the school year and football season always makes me think of the fall color and cooler days, so I reached for the Gather Together Bundle to create this month’s birthday card.

What do you think? I used the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper for this card since I thought the texture was a great fit AND I love the fact it is part of our Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series Promotion this month.

While this set has some lovely sentiments and images,

it didn’t contain a birthday sentiment which I wanted for this project so I reached for the Seaside Notions set since I thought the font was perfect for this card. What do you think? Of course you could use the “Wishing you well” sentiment also.

Check out my video tutorial to see how I made this card.

Want to make some too? Here is a PDF tutorial for you.

Paper Pumpkin Gift of Fall

This month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit comes with a great stamp set and Merry Merlot Ink Spot – perfect for coloring with. And since I think monochromatic cards are always striking that’s where I started. So today’s card is one that I created simply by adding our Very Vanilla Note Cards, some card stock, and our Blender Pens! It is definitely what I consider #simplestamping which is always a great thing!

This card highlights one of our simple coloring techniques – and Blender Pens are a great tool to add to your supplies. Not only is it versatile it also gives you a lot of bang for your buck, since you’ll get 3 of them in your package. The options are endless, simply reach for your favorite color ink pad! This makes them great for a newer stamper just building their supplies or even a seasoned stamper like me.

Want to see how I created this card? I have shared this easy coloring technique in my video.

Paper Pumpkin August 2019 Gift of Fall Note Card Video Tutorial

And of course here is a complete supply list and measurements all in a handy PDF just for you!

Paper Pumpkin August 2019 Gift of Fall Note Card Tutorial PDF

Want A Splash of Color?

Love color? Here are some more cards I made using the same layout idea. They play with a bit of color from past Paper Pumpkin Ink Spots.

This first card still stamps the branches and sentiment in Merry Merlot but uses the Pretty Peacock and Merry Merlot ink spots to color the berries. And how about this one? This time I used Early Espresso to stamp the branches and added Crushed Curry to the mix along.

What do you think? Monochromatic or color? Why not leave me a comment and let me know which one you like?

Then stop back by when I’ll be sharing what I made with the left over pieces and the Paper Pumpkin Gift of Fall Add On Bundle.

Can you believe I’ve got all of this left over to create with?

Toile Christmas Card Tutorial

Today’s card is one that I designed for my Team Retreat Shoe Box Swap and it was inspired by the card in the Holiday Catalog. Just goes to show, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, you can just change it up a bit. This is what we call a CASE, or copy and share everything! lol

Inspiration can come from all places it doesn’t have to be just another card – color and patterns are all around us in our everyday lives. My daughter is always rolling her eyes at me when we are out shopping and I say “look there are flowers done in Terracotta Tile or like her dress years ago Calypso Coral! I love the fact that Stampin’ Up! keeps up with our color trends.

Here is the card – I just love cardinals so this was a set I just HAD to have!

I wanted a bold cardinal so for this project I used our Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends after paying around with the Watercolor Pencils and the Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink. The Disinktive stamp make this so easy to color since the shading is already there for you. You can see just how fast this card was to color with the Blends in my video.

Free as a Bird Thank You

I’ve become quite the bird watcher over the years here in Clarkesville, enjoying the hunt for just the right bird in my book as I learned about them. My son built some bluebird boxes years ago and they now dot our fence line around our house – we’ve been lucky enough to have at least a couple of them being used each season that I can watch as I sip coffee in the morning through out the nesting season.

So today’s card was created using the Bird Ballard Suite of products found on pages 90-92 of the 2019 Annual Catalog. The suite is filled with wonderful water colored images and soft colors which is right up my alley.

And since this set is perfect for coloring I reached for my Stampin’ Blends and started to create my own little bluebird.

While I was at it I figured I’d whip up a tutorial for you – so I’ve made a quick video and PDF so you can make some too if you want.
