Painted Poppies & More

Today’s cards are swaps that my team members brought to share at our January Team Meeting. I always enjoy seeing what they are crafting since everyone’s styles can be so different and well, it’s just fun to share.

These first two cards use the Painted Poppies stamp set (151599) and products from the Peaceful Poppies Suite (153938). This first card shows off the mirror image effect you can create with the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (151324). When you cut the sheet into 4″ sections and then cut them in half again, you match up the mirror images. How cool is that?

This next card uses a Crossover Gate Fold to show off the suite of products.

Here is another fancy fold, this time a Double Door fold using the Stitched Be Mine Dies (148527) from the Annual Catalog.

It’s been teamed up with the lovely From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper (151189) and a sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set (151345).

And finally last, but not least a lovely card using the Daisy Lane stamp set (149325) and coordinating Daisy Punches (143713 and 149517).

Done in Cherry Cobbler and Blushing Bride it uses our Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack (149615) for the small gingham background. It’s soft and sweet and perfect to send to a friend.

I feel really blessed to have such a great group of stampers and we always have the best time together sharing and stamping.

I love sending out birthday cards to my family and friends and so today I thought I’d share with you the one I did for the gals for August.

Created with our rich Merry Merlot and Rococo Rose it’s a quick and simple card to make but still packs a wow with it’s easy to make daisy focal point.

Team Swaps & More

Yesterday was my monthly Team Meeting and while I always enjoy these gatherings yesterday was extra special because I was able to surprise with my box that arrived just in the nick of time – So everyone was able to get their first look at the 2019 Holiday Catalog products too. Who doesn’t love that?

Here is a picture of my table spread out with PreOrder goodies for everyone to see.

And I did a very quick unboxing video the night before of my Holiday Catalog Preorder goodies for you too. I had hoped to share it yesterday evening, but the day went by too fast.

So what do you think? Does the Holiday Catalog look like it will be a lot of fun? I’m really looking forward to this weekend and my Team Retreat where I’ll get some uninterrupted play time!

Mean while would you like to see some of the wonderful swaps my team made? I can’t pick a favorite – can you?

This first swap is a 3d and you know how I love those! This great little Good Morning Magnolia Bag was filled with a couple of pieces of chocolate, Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper covered note pad and pen.

No, the chocolate didn’t survive long, but I’ll be enjoying the note book and pen for a while yet. LOL

And here is a wonderful card made with the Friend Like You stamp set (149237) and Friendly Silhouette Dies (149546) that come in a bundle.

I really love the soft feel of the sponged sky as a back drop.

And this next card was made using the Daisy Lane stamp set (149325) and both the Daisy Punch (143713) along with the Medium Daisy Punch (149517). Isn’t it great we’ve got two sizes of Daisy punches now?

And this final card was created with one of our past Product Medley Bundles, Everything is Rosy.

I’m soooo glad that Stampin’ Up! will be offering another one of these Medleys in our Holiday Catalog. So watch for that coming soon.

Daisy Lane Watercolor Wash Tutorial

It’s that time again another #imbringingbirthdaysback card – and while this card is being posted a bit later than I would like, I really like the way it turned out.

What do you think? I CASED this card from our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator magazine with a couple of small changes. I really love this resource that I receive because I’m a demonstrator, our magazine is filled with ideas, tips and a lot more! I really look forward to getting it quarterly in the mail.

Over the Moon

Ahh…cows and dairy country, the ones with the black & white spots. I was born and raised in the Wisconsin country side and these cows are a part of my childhood. Being raised in the dairy state meant drinking at least 3 full glasses of milk a day – and ahhh the cheese! I miss the farmer’s brick cheese that my grandmother use to get with it’s mild flavor and oh what fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches it made with it’s stringy goodness! I just haven’t had any luck finding something comparable here in Georgia where I live and our cows are brown or black, a shock the first time I learned they were dairy cows since I thought all cows looked our Holsteins. LOL

Anyhow, when I saw this stamp set in the 2019 Annual Catalog I knew it would be one on my shopping list for sure, and after seeing the great cards folks are making with I’m even more excited about the set! After all who can resist these little cows and their adorable faces?

And animals cards are typically great for all ages – The sentiments in this make it super for all kinds of occasions.

Check out these fun cards I received in my swap using this set

This first one is done in a classic color combination of red and black. Can you guess where the spots come from that were used for the back ground? They are are from the Love What You Do stamp set (147042). Isn’t it great the way we can use our Stampin’ Up! products together?

And this next one done in Pretty Peacock is teamed up with the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3d Embossing Folders (152325) along with our new Medium Daisy Punch (149517).

And here is one done in Daffodil Delight – I love the way the Pinewood 3D Embossing Folder (152320 available again soon) has been used to create the barn yard feel.

And my final card uses the bright and cheerful color combo of Pool Party & Calypso Coral.

The little flowers in the background come from the Colorful Seasons stamp set (143726) – so clever!

Same set – so many choices! It’s part of what I love about stamping – we start with the same stamp set and can create totally different looks just with our choice of color. How about you what is one of your favorite things about stamping? Why not take a few minutes and leave me a comment?

What does it look like when I do one of my swaps? I forgot to take a picture of what my classroom looks like covered up with cards, but I did remember to snap a picture before I loaded the packages to go to the post office for you.

It’s that time again – I’m getting ready to send out my birthday cards for the month and while they are a bit later than normal I always enjoy putting happy mail into my mail box with the hope it will bring a smile to the recipients face and they know I’m thinking of them.

This month’s card using the new Daisy Lane stamp set – this is such a great set since it has not just 1 coordinating punch, but 2 – whoohoo!

I’ve teamed up our new 2019-2021 In Color Rococo Rose with Merry Merlot and really like the two together. What do you think?
