Blue Mountain Stampers’ Shoe Box Fun

Last week we I held our annual Blue Mountain Stampers’ Luncheon and along with it we had a Shoe Box Swap this year – so there was lots of stamping going on!

We began our Luncheon with a dish to pass – always yummy new recipes to try. I love “pot lucks” how about you?

The table was decorated – and everyone had a little gift bag waiting for them.

The bags were filled with a team coffee cup, note book I made, and a team pen.

We also celebrated lots of team accomplishments for the past quarter.

Want to see some of the Shoe Box Swaps we made?

These first two were created using the Love What You Love stamp set (148042) and coordinating Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (148926)

And here are some cute tags we made using the Candy Cane Builder Punch (148011) and Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (146921).

If you noticed the Whisper White 5/8″ Flax Ribbon that we used for the tags and wondering where you can find it. It’s from our  2019 Occasions Catalog and will be available in January.

And here is a cute gift card holder using the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set (142043) and coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (140396). Aren’t the little antlers cute? They were made with the Sprig Punch (148012) from the Holiday Catalog.

Do you recognize the sentiment? It’s from our Farmhouse Christmas Stamp set (148478).

And here is a simple but elegant card using the Stylish Christmas stamp set (146770/146773) and Softly Falling Embossing Folder (139672).

Of course, what could be better than swaps. So here are some of the swaps members brought starting with the 3ds treats filled with yummy goodies.

And finally a fancy fold card.

What a wonderful time we had that afternoon. I have such a wonderful team of stampers – each and everyone of them bring their own special talent to our group as you can see.

Here is our selfie from the afternoon. (I’m still getting use to my new selfie stick. LOL, can you tell?)

Sound like fun? Have you ever considered becoming a demonstrator? If so the Blue Mountain Stampers might be a great fit for you too.

What are the Blue Mountain Stampers?

That’s the name of our stamping community.  I enjoy welcoming new members to our group. We’re from all over. If you’re considering joining Stampin’ Up!, you may have questions about how I would support you as part of my team. I do offer a variety of ways to learn, grow and to have FUN as a Blue Mountain Stamper!

We have a very active group and if you’re looking for fun, a place to grow and share with others…You’ll fit right in!

Beautiful Blizzard

Today’s post was inspired by this weekends weather event. Here in North Georgia we woke up to snow and sleet Saturday, and of course with that comes power outages. All this was of course thanks to the winter storm Diego that was cutting a path across the Southeast.

So I spend the day yesterday cleaning up somethings that I’ve meant to get done ages ago – where I had enough light that is LOL. We were lucky to have power by the time we went to bed again all thanks to the hard working men and women at our EMC – bless them for having to be out working in the worst weather conditions while we are safe in our homes.

Here is a picture of my yard to give you an idea of what it was like for us here in Clarkesville.

You can see where the rain/sleet run off was – the snow started melting there first.
I have to say I love this old oak tree it is always beautiful – and yep this is as far as I ventured out. I don’t if I don’t have to when we get weather like this – and this snow was WAY to wet to play in this time.  LOL!

So today I’ll highlight the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and it’s coordinating Blizzard Dies. Here are some wonderful cards made with these products – And did you know that these products are part of of Year End Closeout? Yep, they are and not only that they are discounted too! So why not check them out?

Here’s a shaker card that’s been sprayed with our Frost White Shimmer Mist to create a beautiful shimmery effect. You can find my video tutorial to do this on my YouTube channel.

Stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a tutorial with you for my December Thank You card. Until then happy stamping!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Beautiful Blizzard (*148565/148562)

Accessories: Blizzard Thinlits Dies (*147902)

*Beautiful Blizzard Bundle (149922/149921)

Let’s build a Snowman!

Here in North Georgia we’re expecting some bad weather this weekend and for us it means the milk and bread is flying off the shelves at the grocery store – don’t ask me why, its an odd phenomenon but it happens every time a winter event is predicted. A real snow, it’s a rare thing here in Georgia and I always looked forward to the chance to build a snowman with my children as they were growing up and sharing my Wisconsin childhood experiences with them. While I don’t like to shovel, or dig the car out, I do enjoy looking out the window at the snow with a crackling fire going while we warm up from playing outside with our hot chocolate – yes, even now. So when I saw the Spirited Snowmen stamp set in the Holiday Catalog I couldn’t resist.

Take a look at these cards made with the set.

We’ll be using this set in my December Card Class (Click HERE for more information) to create winter Birthday Cards.
