Fun Techniques with Autumn Leaves

You can hear the leaves rustle? We’ve had a breezing cool few days here in North Georgia and the colors have really started to pop against the hill sides and along the roads. It feels like it’s happened overnight, but I know it’s a combination of shorter days and cooler nights that create this wonderful array of colors. So today I thought it felt right to share a couple of autumn inspired cards using the Autumn Leaves Bundle (162186).

This bundle has some great sentiments and images for fall crafting and today’s cards use a couple of simple techniques to create some great autumn cards. This first card uses the fun Baby Wipe Technique that uses our Reinkers.

Grab a couple of baby wipes, a few reinkers of your choice and create your own ink pad to create this look. How’s it done? Fold your baby wipes so they create a a size that will work well with your stamp choice, use your of rinkers and place drops of ink randomly around the surface, repeat until you have a variety of colors filling in the space. Then go ahead and stamp! Yep that is it. Just a tip tho, you’ll want to clean your stamp in between your stamping as you’ll muddy the colors on the baby wipe if you don’t. Have fun with it and enjoy the process, you’ll create an original look each time you stamp!

And this next card uses a fun “spot light” technique with the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (162178).

The leaf shape die has been used to cut out the card front stamped panel and then again from the Designer Series Paper. The Designer Series Paper has been placed in the negative spot using Stampin’ Dimensionals creating a bit of a shadow effect. The Crumb Cake card base peeks through from behind enhancing this effect. The tone on tone stamping is a great backdrop and the bit of Linen Thread (104199) and Adesive Backed Speckled Dots (162191) ties the color scheme together nicely.

Beary Christmas

Here in my neck of the woods black bears are very popular – I’ve even had a few in my yard passing through. So when I saw the Beary Christmas Suite (162031) I saw endless possibilities for creating projects.

Check out these lovely cards using this group of products.

This first card uses simple stamping and a bit of heat embossing to create a lovely holiday card.

The Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper (162015) sets the color palette for this next card and uses a bit of fussy cutting for the “baby” bear to add a bit of layering.

The Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) adds a bit of texture and along with the Scalloped Contour Dies (155560). And if you want to step it up a bit more. Check out this fun fold using the Tailor Made Tags Dies (155563) as the sentiment mat.

The inside signature panel peeks out from behind the flap adding a bit more color highlighting the sentiment.

Whether you create using the Beary Cute Bundle (162023) or use the Beary Cute Punch (162022) to create silhouettes for other projects I think you’ll enjoy creating with this group of products.

Translucent Florals

I always like to have a all occasions stamp set to create cards with and the Translucent Florals Bundle (162252)

fills this need with it’s lovely images and coordinating dies. This stamp set is one of our Distinktive stamps, so it has a watercolor look built right into it making it create wonderful images easily. Check out these card using this stamp set.

This first card is done in bright cheerful colors and uses the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder (161473) to add a bit of texture to the background. The flower itself has been die cut and a bit of the Calypso Coral has been sponged in the center before stamping to create a multicolored image. And of course a bit of shine was added in the bottom corner with our Glossy Dot Assortment (158146). And this next card uses the pattern from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper (161192) to set the tone.

I just love the fresh soft feel of this card done in Fresh Freesia, Basic Gray, and Granny Apple Green. The image has been highlight with our Deckled Circle Dies (162286) which instantly adds a bit of texture. A few of our Tinsel Gems Three Pack (161624) add some more texture along with the Basic White Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack (155475).

And finally a fun little technique using the dies and our Vellum Basics Specialty Designer Series Paper (160839).

Color has been added to our Vellum and then the petals die cut and layered to create these sheer flowers. A bit of shine has been added with the Festive Pearls (159963) and More Dazzle Specialty Paper (160838) and a bit of texture with the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder (157980).

The fun little Curved Occasions stamp set (162269) is a great all occasions stamp set that has a coordinating punch, called the Curved Label Punch (162273) making it great for all kinds of stampers.
