Team Fun & the Gilded Autumn Pumpkin Home Décor Project

This past weekend I gathered with my Team, The Blue Mountain Stampers for a special biannual event. This event allows us to gather and celebrate everyone’s accomplishments over the last 6 months. We have a special project, along with prizes, and appetizers. So today I thought I’d share our project that we made.

This project was a lot of fun to make and everyone’s turned out differently since they could decide on which patterns they wanted to use. Here is mine.

I really love the colors and patterns of the Gilded Autumn Suite of Products and so I couldn’t resist making a home décor item with them. I also really love the way the little swirls of copper ribbon finish off this project. They are so easy to make – I bet you are wondering how I made them too!

You’ll need a wooden skewer or dowel along with your heat tool and Heavy Spray Starch. Yep, that’s it! You’ll also need a bit of patience as you make them since it does require some dry time tho. I’m not sure how they would hold up outside, but since I’m planning on using this project inside my home I wasn’t worried about our heavy Georgia humidity of late.

Want to see how we made them? Here is a video for you.

I’ve also included a link for the pumpkins and PDF pattern on this Tutorial for you.

Want to make some of these too? Here is the information on the wooded pumpkins for you that I found on Amazon along with a PDF pattern for this pumpkin.

Saying goodbye to Painted Harvest

Today I’m sharing a tutorial for a card made with one of my favorite stamps that is retiring. The Painted Harvest set is photopolymer so it’s easy to line up and the 2-step images in this set are very forgiving since you don’t have to line them up perfectly either.

Pick a color pallet that includes a few colors like this project does or use just one color to create shades and depth – either way you’ll love the look since this stamp set does all the work for you with it’s built in shading and watercolor feel.

While I used more of a this project has more of a “autumn” feel to it change up the Cajun Craze for Daffodil Delight and you’ll have a “summer” feel to your project. Don’t you love how simply changing color gives you a whole new look?

If you’d like to make this card I’ve got a tutorial with the complete supply list and measurements for you.

And why not check it out now before it’s gone? Did you know that all our retiring items on the Last Chance List are now while supplies last, so don’t delay and miss out on your favorite items.

Here are some more fun projects I’ve created using the Painted Harvest stamp set. This first one uses the same color pallet, but this time with more Pumpkin Pie.

And this next one uses Blackberry Bliss – love this rich color!

And finally a 3d project. This little post it note holder uses shades of Crushed Curry for the sunflower.

Enjoy!

Timeless Tropical Treat Tutorial

Today’s project is one that I whipped up as a special treat for those that had signed up originally for my live Class last weekend – while the live class didn’t happen as schedule those folks will still get this little sweet little surprise with their kits.

These treats hold 3 Ghirardelli Chocolates and I just happened to be in luck and have enough hidden from my husband in my class room. The caramel and crunchy caramel pecan wrappers were the perfect color combo for this project as they picked up the colors from the fruit in the Tropical Oasis Designer Series paper.

Want to see how I made these quick little treats? How about a 3 minute video?

And here is a pdf for you to with a complete supply list so you can make some too!

Spotlighting the Blue Mountain Stampers

Last week we had our monthly Team Meeting and so today I wanted to share with you some of the projects that were brought by everyone to share. It’s always fun to see what everyone has been up to since we last stamped together.

This first card is a fun fold, pocket card and it is done in our bright Flirty Flamingo and always a favorite Blackberry Bliss.

Shirley used the Peaceful Moments Stamp set (151595) and Poppy Moments Dies (151594) for this lovely pocket card. This fold is very easy but always packs a wow.

Spring is coming and this next card makes me think spring since it uses the Sending You Thoughts stamp set (152297 Sale-a-bration) and the Coordination product, Sending Flowers Dies (153589). Wanda also chose to make her cards with a variety of colors, this time our 2018-2020 In Colors. I just love the difference color makes.

Did you know that March is a great time to fill in your 2018-2020 In Color Collections? Not only will you get to earn Sale-a-bration products when you order during March but you’ll also beat the Retirement List rush. So why not check your collection and make sure you have all your favorites? Ink Pads, Card stock, ribbon, etc. – You’ll want to make sure to get the reinkers too if you don’t already have them since they are the first to fly out the door!

Here is the adorable Little Ladybug stamp set (152384 Sale-a-bration Host set) and coordinating Dies (153588).

Sue made this little Magnet Slider Card to share – so cute.

And this card is perfect for spring (and our neck of the woods, since we’ve already racked up 1/2 a year of rain already!)

The Under My Umbrella Stamp Set (151518) and Umbrella Builder Punch (151293) were used to create this lovely Double Z Fold card.

And if you love the NEW 2nd Release Sale-a-bration items, you’re going to love this soft lovely card done with our Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends.

How can you not love this Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (152312 Sale-a-bration)? It’s gorgeous! and the So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (152313 Sale-a-bration) is just that. It just shimmers with it’s pearly finish.

And last but not least some 3d projects. This first one is a treat that Pat made special for the up coming St. Patty’s Day. Pat cleverly used the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (149488) to create this card in shades of green.

And Wanda made this little treat bag using our Acetate Card Boxes (144628) that she cut in 1/2.

It uses the Beautiful Moments stamp set for it’s sentiment, along with the very popular Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper (153558) – love the soft spring colors that this paper contains AND the fact it coordinates with our punches too.

Whew! There was lots of sharing going on this month! If you’d like to join a great group who love to share the Blue Mountain Stampers might just be a great choice for you.

Lovely Lily Pad Easel Calendar

It’s a week of tutorials and today I’ll be starting with a project that uses several of our FREE Sale-a-bration products that coordinate together. When I first saw this Sale-a-bration option I knew it was one I wanted to add to my collection and would reach for over and over again! I shared with you my January #imbringingbirthdaysback birthday card I made earlier HERE.

And since I thought it would be a lot of fun to kick the year off with calendars for my stamping friends here is what I came up with.

I’m still in the process of putting them together, but I wanted to share this with you – so if you’re a customer of mine watch for one coming to your mail box soon!

Can you name the set the sentiment is from without looking?

The “Happy Day” sentiment for this project is from one of my favorite sentiment sets, Itty Bitty Greetings. This set holds 32 greetings that cover all kinds of occasions, so it’s a great value and wonderful to team up with your favorite image sets.

Easel fancy folds are perfect for setting this calendar up on your desk and enjoying it though out the year, and with this Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper it’s like looking at a little piece of art.

Want to make one too? I’ve got a video and pdf tutorial for you today.

Are you on My Birthday List for 2020?

Shoe Box Fun & Team Time

Each December my Team holds a Shoe Box Swap and a pot luck lunch during our monthly meeting. It’s a chance to share, enjoy each others company and stamp together.

The table has a holiday flair to it and this year I was able to use the Holiday Catalog inspired Toile Tidings Grid Paper (153984) as place mats for everyone.

In addition I used the Winter Gifts Paper Pumpkin to create quick and easy gift bags to hold their gifts.

These bags included a Team Lanyard with name tags for everyone, along with a special little charm commemorating the event. My Silver team members had a extra little bling added.

While I included a basic name tag for them, I also challenged everyone to create their own name tag showing their personality! It will be fun to see what everyone comes up with next month.

Whew… in addition to our Shoe Box we also made our Make ‘n Takes so there was a lot of stamping going on!

Want to see some of the Shoe Box Swaps now?

This first one is a fancy fold and uses the Inspiring Iris stamp set (149268)

I just love the color combination of Calypso Coral and Basic Gray used for this project.

And here is a fun way to package some hot chocolate using the Cup of Christmas stamp set (150491) and Wrapped in Perfect Designer Series Paper (149596). What fun these candy canes are Oreo flavored and there are some ginger snaps tucked in there too!

And how about this little ornament made with the Merry Moose Bundle and the Night Before Santa Designer Series Paper (150437)?

I really love the fact that Stampin’ Up! will be bringing back this set and the punch next holiday season – You can still order the stamp set (150494) now and then get the punch next year.

And how about this lovely card using the Nature’s Beauty stamp set (150528)?

And this last card is a sneak peek of the special Sale-a-bration stamp set, Little Ladybug, that you can earn for Hosting a private class or party.

Why not set up a time now for January to gather with your friends? Sale-a-bration is a great reason to gather together with friends and stamp!

In case you are wondering, anyone who has purchased the starter kit from myself or one of my team members, gets to enjoy Blue Mountain Stampers’ perks…like monthly make n takes!

Gather Together Pillow Box Treats

Here is a quick and easy treat that hold a few pieces of chocolate that you can put together quickly using our Kraft Pillow Boxes from the Annual Catalog.

How did I make these?

Well I used my Stampin’ Spritzer filled with alcohol and a few drops Pretty Peacock Reinker. I sprayed the Kraft Pillow Box until I got the depth of color I wanted and allowed to dry. If you find your box is getting too wet, allow it to dry between coats of color.

I used my Story Label Punch and punched out the handle before I assembled my pillow box. If you do this before you color it you will get more bleeding on the inside from the spritzing.

Then I decorated as desired.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: To Every Season (150531) and Gather Together (*150589)

Ink: Pretty Peacock (150083/150090), Cajun Craze (147085/119790), Crumb Cake (147116/121029), Terracotta Tile Classic Ink (150886/150093), Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (147931)

Paper: Crumb Cake (120953), Terracotta Tile (150884), Cajun Craze (119684), and Whisper White Card stock (100730)

Accessories: Gathered Leaves Dies (*150662),  Story Label Punch (150076), and Linen Thread (104199)
