Soft Seedlings

The evenings are getting cooler and it won’t be long before the days are noticeably shorter, fall is right around the corner. While I’ll miss the pace summer and it’s warm sunny days I always enjoy, today’s project is inspired by those fall colors we’ll be seeing soon.

The Soft Seedlings stamp set (159905) from our Mini Catalog was used to create this lovely card.

This set with it’s lovely font and sentiments is perfect for techniques with its Distinktive images.

For this card a bit of color has been added to the stem with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker and then Cajun Craze has been added to the leaves and seeds using a Sponge Dauber. After that another Sponge Dauber added a bit of Early Espresso to the tips for a bit more color giving it an Autumn feel. Our Layering Diorama Dies (155565) were used to layer the image and the Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) with their fun stitched edges were used to pop up the sentiment. Interest was added to the background layer with the seeding images and a bit more sponging to add a bit of interest.

Nuts About Squirrels

These fun little fellows with their all occasions sentiments are perfect for creating fun cards for family and friends. And since it is a 2-step stamp set you have lots of options. It’s also a great way to begin building your stamp collection if you a new to stamping.

Today’s card is the last and final card in my Step It Up Series using the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set. The addition of the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper adds a wonderful pop of color and texture that ties everything together nicely. I’ve deviated a bit from the Mini Catalog design, but that is one of the fun parts about stamping.

I’ve also changed up the sentiments in this Series so that I could show you all the great sentiments in the set.

Card #2 in the Nuts About Squirrels Tutorial Step It Up Series

Yesterday I shared the first card in my 3 card Step It Up Tutorial Series highlighting quick and easy stamping. Today’s card adds a punch and a bit more. So why not check it out?

This card uses the same adorable images but has a few more colors added to make it a bit more fun. I love the Rich Regal Color Collection for fall and winter projects, you can’t go wrong with this color pallet.

Today’s card is one I took right from the pages of the Mini Catalog using the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set. I love this kind of project where you can make it simply or you can step it up by using a few extra items that you may have. I’ll be sharing 3 card tutorials with you in this series using the same basic supplies. Today’s card is perfect for the stamper who is just starting to collect supplies or someone who just wants a clean and simple card. Isn’t that the great thing about stamping?

Gorgeous Leaves

It’s fall now and there is a cool start to the mornings here in North Georgia. This last rain heralded in a change in the weather for us at least temporarily. As we say goodbye to summer and hello to autumn I thought I’d share a card made with the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle (158609) with you today as the leaves are sure to be showing off their full fall colors soon.

This card uses non traditional colors to celebrate fall.

Done in Crumb Cake, Bumblebee, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, and Calypso Coral is a lovely soft take on fall colors, making me thing of warm fuzzy sweaters and camp fires. This stamp set also has some lovely collage images that are great for all kinds of projects since they include woodgrains and splatters a go to for creating interest and layering.

Lots to Celebrate

Wow, can you believe there are less than 60 days left till Christmas? The holidays are upon us and so today I’ll be sharing another stamp set that will serve you well all through the holiday season. The Lots to Celebrate stamp set is a lot of fun with it’s mason jars images, Jar Punch and it’s coordinating Mason Jar Shaker Domes. After all who can resist a shaker?

While today’s cards don’t use the shaker domes, they are charming and perfect to mail out to your friends and family. I’ve got this first one which is autumn themed and the sentiment is perfect to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Done in shades of Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider it has a fun fall feel to it.

And this next card is great for the holidays with it’s traditional Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.

I love the little punched Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper around the rims. It adds a pop of color and festive feel.

Loyal Leaves

This past weekend brought a lot of new color to my hillside behind the house – fall is definitely here and here is a great card to make for any occasion this fall.

Done in Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze these colors are perfect for the fall. And this card has a fun way of opening too.

The focal point was stamped and then colored with our Watercolor Pencils. This technique gives you a lot of blending options which is a great choice for adding colors for this lovely leaf image. Use the Watercolor pencils wet or dry like this card does and you can still create a wonderful blend of colors with simply layering of different colors.

Gather Together

As crazy as it sounds the last rain showers brought yellow leaves fluttering down along the roadsides and in my front yard. It seems way too early with our 90 degree days but these little leaves are always the first sign of fall for me. And for some reason they always catch me by surprise every year the first time I see them. Then I have to remind myself that it is mid August and the hot days won’t last much longer. So that got me thinking about leaves and the Gather Together Bundle that has some wonderful images and dies for our fall crafting needs. Check out these lovely cards done with this Bundle.

This first card uses our new In Color Cinnamon Cider and the maple leaf has been colored with our Stampin’ Blends – love, love, love this coloring option for bold colors!

The Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (153520) was used along with the Timeless Label Punch (149516).

This next card uses our Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (153527) and the embossing dies that are part of the bundle. They cut and emboss texture at the same time which is pretty cool.

open it and you have a fun little surprise – the sentiment panel is attached to the card front only giving you a different look that allows the card to stand on it’s own.

Some simple stamping and die cutting creates this lovely card.

And how about this final card? It uses the wonderful Faux Suede Trim (152472) and the lovely wood print from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (152494)

Don’t these cards make you think of crisp autumn nights? I always love the rich color combos for fall and this years’ In Color, Cinnamon Cider and the new Designer Series Papers are a lot of fun.

Life is Beautiful

Its a balmy 93 degrees here in the North Georgia mountains and the humidity is off course off the charts, but that is Georgia in August. So today’s card makes me think of the cooler days ahead, after all once school starts those cooler mornings aren’t far behind.

Today’s card uses the Life is Beautiful stamp set (154871) found in the August – December Mini Catalog on page 51.

I passed this one right by, but this card has me looking at it closer as I love the font and ease of customizing the tree. This DistInktive set can work for you all year long depending on your color choice and it has some great sentiments too.

This card was stamped using our Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Classic Inks to create a fall feel. And take a closer look at the card base – its the Gold Cards & Envelopes (153532) that are also found on page 51.

These cards and envelopes are gorgeous and the gold envelope is very rich with it’s metallic shimmer. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you give them a try.
