Easter Blessings

Easter is this weekend and it is early this year so I was looking for a quick and easy card to send out since I’m running behind. Are you behind too? A mom thing I guess since I’ve spent this week dealing with doctors and my daughters chest pain that has flared up again.

So I found this great Easter Blessings card among my swaps from Leadership. Isn’t it great. I love the texture created with the Perfect Polka Dots and Elegant Lines Embossing Folders along with the little bit of bling. And since Easter Blessings uses such a great font and is a single stamp that you can find in the Spring Catalog it makes a quick focal point for you card too.

Fun & Flirty Paper Doily Skirts

Have you seen the NEW Pop ‘n Cuts die in the Spring Catalog? Well if you loved to play dress up when you were little or if you played with paper dolls you’re going to love this group of coordinating products!

Here is a card I made for my Team Meeting using the Pop ‘n Cuts Die (item 130099) and Dress Form (item 130100). I used our Full Heart Punch for the bodice and would you believe I used one of our Paper Doilies (item 129399) to create the skirt? Well I did!

I had such a great time creating this project that I thought I would share how I created this skirt with you too. After a lot of trial an error here is what I finally came up with.

Fancy Favor for Hostess Appreciation

Yesterday I told you would share the little gifts I made for my Hostess Appreciation Brunch – I like the way they turned out and seemed to be a hit with everyone. What can I say chocolate is always a hit!

It’s a cute little Fancy Favor Box I made using our FREE Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper filled with chocolate and coordinating card stock basket shreds. Of course, when you use the Big Shot and our Fancy Favor Die (item 115965) it’s quick and easy to make a batch of these up for any occasion.

Did you know you can make your own basket shreds to coordinate with your projects? It’s easy all you need is some card stock and your paper shredder! It’s a tip I picked up during Leadership Conference – What a great way to use those smaller pieces of card stock you have sitting around.

A Perfect Day for Vintage Verses

Have you ever had one of those days? We’ll I’ve just spent the morning putting up 8 heads of cabbage that my son Johnathan grew in his garden. I’ve got to say that I was impressed when he picked them earlier because they were so large and was looking forward to using our favorite recipe when I put it up. Since they’ve been sitting in my frig taking up so much room I decided I had better do something with them, right? Well fast forward a bit – to make a long story short I should have paid more attention to what I was doing!

After cooking up over half of the cabbage I realized I was using ground mustard instead of ground ginger to season the cabbage with! Thankfully my little oops didn’t turn out so bad, and actually my husband might even enjoy it – since now the cabbage has a bit of a kick to it! However, I’ll be paying more attention as I make the rest of the batches up the right way.

So all this got me to thinking of a card that I made at Leadership using the Vintage Verses Stamp Set (item 129633/129636) that is currently available as a FREE Sale-a-bration item. I thought the verse was appropriate for today.

Love You with Seasonal Sayings

Seasonal Sayings is a great stamp set to have on hand because its sentiments cover so many different occasions. Cindy used this “Love You” image to create this great card for Valentine’s Day or just to tell someone you love them.

I really like all the texture the card has on it so I hope my picture does it justice.

This first card from Carol Gatton uses the Joyous Celebrations stamp set and Dazzling Details on the Holiday Frame Embossing folder. Can you see the glimmer?

Gingerbread Cookies – mmm

I’ve had a slow start with my baking this year due to some family emergencies. But I’m happy to say that now my daughter has gotten her CT I’m ready to get in the kitchen and distress while I wait to hear the results.
