Free as a Bird Thank You

I’ve become quite the bird watcher over the years here in Clarkesville, enjoying the hunt for just the right bird in my book as I learned about them. My son built some bluebird boxes years ago and they now dot our fence line around our house – we’ve been lucky enough to have at least a couple of them being used each season that I can watch as I sip coffee in the morning through out the nesting season.

So today’s card was created using the Bird Ballard Suite of products found on pages 90-92 of the 2019 Annual Catalog. The suite is filled with wonderful water colored images and soft colors which is right up my alley.

And since this set is perfect for coloring I reached for my Stampin’ Blends and started to create my own little bluebird.

While I was at it I figured I’d whip up a tutorial for you – so I’ve made a quick video and PDF so you can make some too if you want.

A Little Smile Thank You Note Card

The June Paper Pumpkin Kit included a great little beach themed set that has some wonderful sentiments and after putting the little cards together I’ve still got tons of pieces left to play with. And I’ve been doing just that. However, today’s card is one that I created using just the stamp set.

I made a bunch of these up to send out – they were quick and easy, and all I did was add a package of note cards and some Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake card stock. Love that we can put the kit together and then use the ink and stamps to build our collection and supplies.

It Starts with Art Tutorial

Today’s card is one that I created to share along time ago but it got buried on my desk, ugh. But that means you’re in luck today since I’m sharing it today. LOL!

The card uses the Follow Your Art Suite of Products that can be found on page 53 of the Annual Catalog – this Suite is filled with wonderful products that speak to me since I’m a life long crafter of all kinds of crafts, starting as a child with learning how to embroider. Remember those iron on x patterns for our first samplers? I think my first project was a pillow case edge. How about you? What was your first project?

I love the fact that this Suite contains different kinds of crafting images and items – perfect for all kinds of crafters young and young at heart.

Any how here is my project that I created for my OnStage Team event back in April.

And how about a video too?

Back on Your Feet Fun

Yesterday, I shared with you some of the cards that my team created for the shoe box swap at our Team Retreat – today I’ll be sharing mine along with the video tutorial so you can make some too if you’d like.

The Back on Your Feet stamp set found on page 83 in our 2019 Annual Catalog contains such cute images I couldn’t resist it, after all it seems like I’ve been need of get well cards lately.

And the little turtle image brought back childhood memories – Did you have a pet turtle growing up? I know I had the whole set up plastic dish with the island and palm tree you could place in the center – my little guy was always getting out. Sigh…. what simple pleasures.

Any how here is my card.

I just love the NEW Pigment Sprinkles in our exclusive Stampin’ Up! Colors!!! I knew as soon as I saw them I wanted to play with them at the team retreat while I had some dedicated crafting time – and they don’t disappoint with their bright bold colors!

Here is my video tutorial so you can see how I created this card.

To A Wild Rose Thank You Card Tutorial

Today’s card is one that I created to mail out for my June Thank Yous. I chose the To a Wild Rose stamp set because it has wonderful bold floral images and sentiment in a beautiful font, so I knew it would make a great stamps, ink, and paper card!

To A Wild Rose Stamp Set image

And while it does come in a bundle (151073) with coordinating dies I think it’s a great stand alone set too. Perfect to get started if you are new to stamping.

This set is a two step stamp set so the color combinations are endless. Check out this card done in tones of Blushing Bride.

I love the soft tones of pink with Basic Gray, but then I love gray as a back drop in my home too. To me this combo has a vintage feel to it which is perfect for the wild rose. What do you think?

If you’d like to see how I created this card you can check out my video tutorial

It Starts with Art Wiper Card Tutorial

I love gathering with my team each month and sharing – after all isn’t that part of the fun of stamping, the community? So last month when my friend Sue shared a card with us during Team Craft Time I loved the idea of her sharing it at June’s Meeting. We made it a team effort, she shared the basic wiper base how to and I designed a card for us all to make.

Here is what I came up with as far as the card design. I love the craft focused Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper with it’s bright colorful patterns. And this movement card seemed perfect for the It Starts with Art stamp set too.

While these cards look difficult to make, they really are quite simple once you get the hang of them. I’ve broken down my tutorial into two parts for you the card base itself and then how I decorated it to make things a bit easier. So you’ll want to watch both parts to see the complete project.

And of course it is always nice to have the printable version to along with the complete supply list for reference.
