Today’s card uses one of my favorite sets, as it holds a special meaning for myself and my son.
When my son Johnathan was a toddler he was fascinated by all the heavy equipment that we would pass by as we went places, so I learned all the names and the differences as he grew up. Let me tell you it wasn’t easy keeping up with him as he knew them all. LOL.
I’ve shared several tutorials over the months with you since I really enjoy this little set. I really hate to see it retire as it is always harder to find masculine sets for out little builders.
Here is a quick video tutorial for you
along with my PDF that includes a complete supply list and measurements so you can create this card too!

And while she is no longer the child who was dreaming of marrying the crocodile hunter one day, I still get photos of her with the crocks every time she goes to the zoo or aquarium.

Wow, I’m back from Vegas and another fantastic Stampin’ Up! event and sort of have my computer working, so I thought I’d share with you one of the cards that I made for my #BackStage swap in Las Vegas.
I really love the way they turned out and couldn’t pick a favorite color so I made several. I got a good response from my fellow swappers with this Annual Catalog stamp set which was nice too.
I couldn’t resist using the Construction Zone stamp set (161582) that was one of my first must haves but haven’t had time to play with. So since my computer was driving me nuts, I decided it was a great time to chill and create with this fun little set. And I had a blast so I’ll be sharing more tutorials with you soon.
Cute right? and it has some great all occasion sentiments. While my son is now in his 30s I can remember his love of his little tonka trucks and construction equipment. So I know that the cards I create with this set will bring a smile to his face, after all I think it is a great set for our guys all ages.
I chose Crushed Curry from the Regals Collection Designer Series Paper (161642) for my original design that I will share with you today for my tutorial, but as you can see fork lifts come in all colors so the Brights Collection works well too!
Want to see how I made this so you can make some too? Check out my Video tutorial below along with my PDF with measurements, supply list and step by step directions.
