Fun & Flirty Flip Flops

What says summer more than a new pair of flip flops? Today’s card uses our fun bold Designer Series Paper, Festive Birthday to create these fun cactus flip flops.

Seaside Shore Flip Flops (1)

I’ve had several of you ask me how I created these when you saw my shoe box card HERE.

So I thought I’ve put together a video tutorial on how they are made. And I included some tips to make things easier.

Want the pattern? Well I’ve made one up just for you!

So, what kind of flip flops do you like? Plain, bright and colorful, or wild patterns? Why not leave me a comment and let me know.

What’s Happening Here?

On a personal note I thought I’d share with you what is happening with all this wood my son, Johnathan and I  brought home on June 20th. (Click HERE to see that post).

June 20 2016 wood for classroom

I’m excited to say my guys are making great progress on the project… my classroom!

June 2016 Classroom storage (4)

Johnathan is always happy playing with his “toys” in the garage. (He built his garage cabinetry that you see in the background over his winter break.)

June 2016 Classroom storage (1)

Over the weekend they finished the 12 x 12 paper storage unit.

and the base cabinet too! Wow that was fast!!!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to get painting! And you know how I dislike painting. LOL!!!

Right now, I’m trying to decide a new paint color for the classroom walls. After all, with this great cabinetry going in I need a new coat of paint, right?

I’ve got it narrowed down to two choices at this point.

classroom paint swatches

A more bold one and a safe one. I’m trying to decide how crazy I want to be LOL!!! Pool Party or Sahara Sand ???? Hmmm…. what do you think? I’ve changed my mind so many times already, but these are the two I keep coming back to since I love the Island Indigo display item I already have.

What color would you choose?

Marvelous Metallic Pumpkins

I love to learn new techniques. Do you? Today’s project combines two things I love techniques and the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. Whoo hoo! I find myself using my Blendabilities all the time – they are just so much fun to color with and I’m not really a coloring type of person normally. But I’m finding coloring with my Blendabilities is very relaxing and  I always feel so accomplished when I’m finish coloring an image LOL.

I’ve used the Fall Fest stamp set and coordinating Fun Fall Framelits that are available in a money saving Bundle (137628) for this project. This is such a great set for the fall, it’s not such for Halloween as you can see.

marvelous metallic pumpkins

So wondering what and how I did this? It is sooooo easy and it really gives your project a WOW effect. I’m hoping you can see the wonderful look that this little pumpkin has in my photo.

Want to learn this really quick and easy technique? I’ve made a quick video for you. So without delay – Here is my Marvelous Metallic Pumpkins Video Tutorial.

Love it? All you need is a sold image for this project and you’re set to go – the ideas are endless. I haven’t noticed there is any problem so far with my Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers – The only tip is lighter hand when coloring is better since the StazOn Ink is also alcohol based too much pressure picks up the StazOn. That is why for your regular projects you’ll want to use our Memento Tuxedo Black Pad.

Want to learn more about Stampin’ Blendabilities? I’ve got a Blend with Friends Class coming up in October. Not only will you get to practice with the Blendabilities Markers, but the class includes a bundle of products that will get you started. Sound interesting?

Why not contact me today (706 754-7124 or [email protected]) to learn more about the Blend with Friends Class or you can click HERE to see my full calendar of events. I think you’ll really love using our Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers once you try them and they are such a great deal too!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Fall Fest (135194), For All Things (135152/135155), and Gorgeous Grunge (130514/130517)

Ink: White Cotton StazOn Pad (106960), Tangerine Tango (1269416), Sahara Sand (126976), Bermuda Bay (131171), and Crushed Curry Classic Ink Pads (131173)

Cardstock: Gold Foil (132622), Bermuda Bay (131197), and Whisper White card stock (100730)

Accessories: Fun Fall Framelits Dies (135856), 1 ¾” Circle Punch (119850), 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch (118874), Paper Piercing Tool (126189) and Stampin’ Pierce Mat (126199), Old Olive (130999) and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers (130997), and Stampin’ Sponges (101610)

Fun & Flirty Paper Doily Skirts

Have you seen the NEW Pop ‘n Cuts die in the Spring Catalog? Well if you loved to play dress up when you were little or if you played with paper dolls you’re going to love this group of coordinating products!

Here is a card I made for my Team Meeting using the Pop ‘n Cuts Die (item 130099) and Dress Form (item 130100). I used our Full Heart Punch for the bodice and would you believe I used one of our Paper Doilies (item 129399) to create the skirt? Well I did!

Fun & Flirty Doily Skirt (1)

I had such a great time creating this project that I thought I would share how I created this skirt with you too. After a lot of trial an error here is what I finally came up with.

So here is my latest video – The Fun & Flirty Doily Skirt Tutorial

And if you were wondering how I decorated the outside – here is a photo of the outside of the card. Don’t you love the way that the NEW Pop ‘n Cuts die is designed so that it “seals” itself?
