Brightly Gleaming

Today’s cards all use the products from the Brightly Gleaming Suite Bundle found in our 2019 Holiday Catalog. I love the fact that this suite has punches which make multiple cards easy to do. And the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper doesn’t disappoint with its beautiful Copper Foil accents.

This card also uses the wonderful Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder for those of us who like to add a bit more wow to our cards – Done in Night of Navy card stock it adds some texture.

#imbringingbirthdaysback with Country Home

I’m on a roll with Country Home and loving the images colored with our Stampin’ Blends. Today’s card is one that I made to send out this week for my October birthdays. I wanted the feeling of autumn when I created this card so I reached for the Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock. Two of my favorite 2019-2020 In Colors, and here is what I came up with.

Of course, I can’t resist the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to create the 3d feel of the cotton pods either.

Here is a quick video tutorial sharing how I colored and used the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint along with a couple of tips for success. I’ve also done a PDF to go along with the video for you.

Painted Harvest & more Team fun

Team time = a lot of fun. Each month we gather, share and stamp together at our Team Meeting. This month when we gathered we learned how to make a special treat that I’ll hope to be sharing with you soon, I just need to whip up a video for you. In the meantime I can share those projects that the Blue Mountain Stampers brought for swapping.

This first card uses one of my favorite sets, Painted Harvest (144783) – don’t you love the little hedge hog created with this 3 step stamp?

Teamed up with the Leaf Punch (144667) & Woodland Embossing Folder (139673) this card is sure to bring a smile.

And here are a couple of treats for fall. This first one is a super cute bat created with a couple of snack sized Kit Kat bars, card stock and circle punch.

And of course we can’t forget those cute googly eyes either!

And how about this sucker holder using the Harvest Hellos stamp set (150581) and it’s coordinating Apple Builder Punch (150663)? You can get these in a bundle and save 10% when you do.

And for some fall color – here is a card made with our Colorful Seasons stamp set (143726) and the Seasonal Layers Dies (143751).

Can you see the texture in the background created with our Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775)?

And finally, this fun card uses the It Starts with Art Art stamp set (149303) and Arts & Craft Dies (149580) found in the Follow Your Art Suite of products found in the 2019 Annual Catalog. So there are lots of options and you can get a 10% discount too!

I really love the combination of colors that Sue used for this card. And the card base also uses the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (151775) – a great option for just a touch of texture when you need it.

If you would like to join the Blue Mountain Stampers and connect with a group of folks who love to craft AND get a discount on the products you love, joining us might be just the thing for you!

?Peak Princess Fun & the Amazing Magnolia Lane Folding Album

Last weekend was my Peak Princess event. What’s that? Well it is a special afternoon of pampering for those Team members who have earned it. We enjoy the time together, food, played a game, and of course create a project.

This event was extra special since it was our largest group yet due to everyone’s hard work – and I added a bit of a luau theme to the snack table to celebrate.

The hit of the snack table was the Artichoke & Mushroom Toast – not really Hawaiian fair, but since the Hawaiian pizza rolls I was planning on were a flop when I tried them, this worked out well since everyone seem to enjoy them.

Here is the recipe if you want to try them yourself. I found them really easy to do and prepped everything the day before and then assembled before the event.

Artichoke & Mushroom Toast

Taste of Home

  • 36 slices French bread baguette (1/2 inch thick)
  • 3 T. Olive Oil, divided
  • ½ lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • ½ lb. sliced baby portobello mushrooms
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 T. butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jar (7.5 oz) marinated quartered artichoke hearts, drained
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 T. Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 2 c. Swiss cheese, shredded

Place bread on baking sheets; brush with 2 tablespoons oil. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 1-2 minutes or until lightly toasted.

In a large skillet, sauté mushrooms with Italian seasoning in butter and remaining oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat and set aside.

Place artichokes in a food processor; cover and process until finely chopped. Add mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese; cover and process until blended. Spread over toast slices; top with mushrooms and sprinkle with Swiss cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 4-6 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Yield 3 dozen

And here is the classroom waiting for everyone to arrive.

I shared the little Country Home Kit Kat Holders which were everyone’s “pillow gifts” on the table with you yesterday – I thought the thankful greeting was perfect to express my thanks to my team.

We enjoyed a game after everyone settled in –

Have you ever played the Right, Left Game? It’s so simple…. everyone starts with a package and then we passed our packages to the right or left depending on the Ink Pad story I read.

Lot’s of fun and laughter to go around!

After we did a Make n Take and created these lovely Folding Albums. My friend, Marni gave me one of these little albums last spring in a swap and I loved it so much. I saved it since I knew it was the perfect project for the day. I simply put my own spin on it.

It wasn’t hard to choose the paper I wanted to use. The Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper is so striking and you’ve got a ton of pattern choices in the package. Here is what the album looks like opened.

I’m looking forward to filling it with some photos!

Here is the gang working on theirs

Want to see how I made this album? The Team enjoyed making them so much I thought you would too!

Amazing Magnolia Lane Folding Album Video Tutorial

Oh, I almost forgot the tag or chip board is simply the extra piece in our Specialty Designer Series Paper packs – How great is that? You can up cycle it!

So what do you think? Want to make one for yourself? I think they make great gifts and of course you could stamp on the inside diamonds if you prefer rather than use it as an photo album. I think there are endless ways to use this amazing album!

Here is a printable version with the complete supply list I used.

Country Home Kit Kat Holder

This past weekend was my team Peak Princess event and so I wanted to make something special for my team members that earned this special event during the first quarter. Naturally the Country Home stamp set came to mind with it’s lovely sentiments and images. The fact that I could use the fun new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the cotton pods from the Holiday Catalog was an added bonus and a ton of fun!

Check out these elegantly wrapped treats

And since this holder fits a full size Kit Kat Bar there is plenty to share if you want too!

They are simple to make, use a sheet of card stock and I really like how the back opens to show your sentiment.

See how I made it and the magic of the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint here in my video tutorial.

#simplestamping with Bon Appetit

If you sometimes find the options over whelming when you sit down to create a card, simple stamping just might the thing to recharge your creativity. Check out this cute little note card for Halloween. Perfect for mailing or tucking in with a little treat.

These little skeletons are simply stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I used the Gorgeous Grape spot that came in the kit for the sentiment and sponging. Want to see how I made it? 2019 Incentive Trip – Maui, here we come!

I have been trying to figure out how to share my good news with you all… and it is truly big news!

On August 26th, I got several customer orders that put me over top allowing me to achieve the Stampin’ Up 2019 Incentive Trip to Maui.  On October 6th reports will be finalized and I will be able to redeem the points for an all-expenses paid trip for two to Maui July 2020. I can’t even begin to tell you just how excited my husband, Larry is about this trip!!!

I am still processing the fact that I’ve reached my goal and pinching myself to make sure it’s not a dream. I was not sure that I should share until it was official, but I wanted to go ahead now since so many of you have been following my progress.

So here goes and all I can say is Thank you!

Thank you to my AMAZING customers.  Every order you place allows me to do what I love AND share my love of crafting with you. I can’t tell you how much your support and friendship mean to me.

Thank you to the best team ever! The Blue Mountain Stampers thank you for sharing your talent, inspiring me, and keeping me on track! You have been working hard too, and becoming successful in each of your own ways. I am so proud of you, and that fact you let me be a part of your Stampin’ Up! journey. I’m so honored that you have you chosen to join our team! I could not have achieved this trip without you!

Thank you to those NEW customers who reached out to me and placed orders. You’ve touched me deeply with your kind comments and your desire in wanting to help me reach my goal.

Thank you to my biggest fans who have stamped with me over the past 10 years! You refer your friends to me. You share your life and encourage me to become better. You are the inspiration! Because of you I feel like I can achieve anything.

Thank you to my husband and family who have been supportive and have patiently waited for me and pitched in when I needed it.

Thank you to my adopted Stampin’ Up! family who have given me their friendship, believed in me, mentored me, and inspired me to reach for the stars.

Thank you so much for making this goal and my dream come true!

(Disclaimer: less than 1% of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators make the Incentive Trip each year)
