My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Red, White & Blue Wood Words and July Specials

I love making little note pad holders and today’s project is no exception – I was inspired by the little flags I found in my stash and done in patriotic colors using the Wood Words stamp set I really love the way it turned out.

I’m finding the Wood Words Bundle (145314/145316) is really very versatile and a lot of fun to work with!

Want to make some yourself? They are quick and easy to make with your Stampin’ Trimmer or Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Here are the measurements for a 3 x 3 inch pad of flags.

Measurements:

Night of Navy Card : Cut 6 3/4″ x 3 1/4″; score at 3 1/4″ and 3 1/2″

Real Red Card stock: Cut 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″

Whisper White Card stock: Cut 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″

Instructions:

Stamp sentiment in Real Red Classic Ink in the lower left hand corner of Whisper White Card stock.
Stamp flower image using Night of Navy Classic Ink diagonally across your Whisper White Card stock. Adhere to Real Red Card stock.
Stamp star image using Real Red Classic Ink onto scrap of Whisper White card stock.
Cut out the star using the Framelits Die. Add to center of Whisper White piece using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
Add Rhinestones scattered around image and star as desired.
Add Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the Real Red layered piece and add to Night of Navy “lid”.
Fold Night of Navy Card stock on score lines. Adhere note pad onto inside.

“Pop” goes the Punch Latch

When a latch from your punch pops out it can be quite explosive – but no worries, there isn’t anything wrong with the punch AND you can pop that latch right back in so you can lock it once again for storage.

I filmed this tutorial a while back and it has gotten “lost” on my computer. Sigh, does that ever happen to you? Oh well, the good news is I’m sharing it with you today!

More Birthday Delivery Fun

The other day I shared with you some of the great swaps I received with the Birthday Delivery Bundle (145294). I love the fact that the Designer Series Paper coordinates with the Framelits Dies and it is included in the bundle price so you save 10% on all three items.

Use it with out like these first couple of cards

Isn’t this little baker just too cute? I use to decorate cakes a lot when my kids were young and I was never this clean when I was done. You could always tell what I was doing by the stains on my hands and the kids huddled around the bowl! LOL! Ahh, I can still see their little faces covered in buttercream frosting.

Or use it with the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (144118) to make things quick and easy when you need something fast.

Wood Words Tutorial

This card was hands down everyone’s favorite at my Catalog Kick Off this month and so I thought you would enjoy seeing it too.

This stamp set was one of the first that I got from the NEW 2017 Annual Catalog. I couldn’t resist the little Wood Crate Framelits Dies (143730) that were part of the bundle when I saw them. After all I LOVE 3d items that I can use as gifts filled with a few goodies.

If you haven’t seen the Copper Trim it is fantastic. I’ve used it in bow form here, but you can see just how versatile it is on my card HERE. And I’ve already used loads of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (144177)!
