About Stamp with Jini

My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Joy to You

Today’s cards both use the Joy to You stamp set (162090). This set used bold sentiments that are great for focal points and inside sentiments on your cards this holiday season.

This first card uses the Deckled Circle Dies (162286) to high light the sentiment, and Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper (161958) makes a quick and simple backdrop.

And this next card has a totally different color pallet since it uses the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper (retiring 162377) which contains blues and greens. The paper is this year’s Making a Difference product – when you purchase this paper Stampin’ Up! donates $3.

The card uses a big block of color with the papers to add impact to the background. The sentiment has been cut out with the Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173) and soft color added with the Blending Brushes (153611). A piece of Balmy Blue 3/8″ Sparkle Ribbon (retiring 162030) adds some soft texture and shine. And this fun paper coordinates with our Beary Cute Punch (retiring 162023) too.

Do you have a favorite sentiment from this set? Why not leave me a comment and let me know which one you like best?

Sparkling Snowflakes

Do you love the first snowfall of the year and the sparkle it brings to the countryside as the sun shines on it? I know growing up in Wisconsin this is one of my strongest memories, the brilliance of the snow as the sun hit it. I actually wore my sunglasses more in the winter than the summer! I guess that is one of the things that always draw me to a snowflake stamp set and the Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set (162158) not only has some lovely 2 step snowflakes but also a coordinating punch too!

Today’s first card uses that lovely Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Topper Punch (162164).

This card uses colors from winter. The Fresh Freesia, Boho Blue, and Pool Party to create a soft winter time feel. It also uses the simple stamp off method to create 2 tones of the same color so that the two step image is darker than the solid image. You can see the small snow flake behind the sentiment that uses this same technique. Ink up the stamp, stamp off on a scratch paper, and then stamp on your project. Just a little tip – You’ll want to do this fully each time since when you stamp off the edge of the card stock you’ll get a line in your image. The Boho Blue 3/8″ Textured Ribbon (161631), Tinsel Gems Three Pack (161624), and Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) give the card a lot of texture.

This next card is monochromatic and done in Lost Lagoon. One of my favorite new colors added this year.

The sentiment has been punched out using the Double Oval Punch (154242) and has been popped up giving it some depth. The lovely Silver & White 1/2″ Sheer Ribbon (162149) and Faceted Gems Trio Pack (162148) add a bit of shimmer and shine along with texture to the project.

These products are part of the carry over list, but the Sparkling Snowflakes Bundle (162165) discount will be going away since it is only while supplies last or January 3rd when the catalog ends.

Garden Walk Thank You Card Tutorial

I use a ton of thank you cards during the holidays as I like to send a card to family and friends to show my appreciation. After all they showed me I was special enough to take the time and I want to show them how special their thoughtfulness was to me. How about you? Do you send thank you cards during the gift giving season? Or want to create a lovely gift for someone? If you do you’ll enjoy today’s project as it is a quick and easy card to make a bunch of quickly.

I’ve used the Good Feelings Stamp set (158737) for this project as it is a sentiment set that has these great bold sentiments perfect as a focal point on a card like this.

And of course the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper (retiring 162227) is a lovely pack of 6×6 papers that have all kinds of floral images making it a great choice for this versatile layout.

Not only does it had bolder color choices for the holidays, it also has a softer color pallet too so you can use it year round simply by changing the card base and mat colors. And of course the Blooming Pearls (162238) since they come in an assortment of colors work with all of them!

Soft & Lovely Magical Meadow

The Magical Meadow Bundle (retiring 162144) is filled with lovely images and sentiments that can be used through out the winter months and the images are DistInktive (TM) stamps give you lovely shading and texture since it is already built in.

This bundle is part of a suite so it has some wonderful products that coordinate with it too. Check out these lovely cards using the Magical Meadow Stamp Set (Retiring 162134). This first card uses simple stamping and some layering with the Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173) to create a wonderful winter card. The light airy Silver & White 1/2″ Sheer Ribbon (162149) adds more texture.

And this next card is a fun fold using a bit of 2023-2025 In Color Jute Twine (161637) to add some texture and close the fun fold.

The lovely Faceted Gems Trio Pack (162148) add a bit more texture and shine.

While these first two cards use the greenery images to create a lovely card, they both have different feel to them due to the color choice. And this next card uses the Magical Meadow Bundle along with the same Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper (162133) to create this lovely Starry Sky inspired card.

Once again the ribbon adds a bit of shine while the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) and Double Oval Punch (154242) add some texture. And this final card uses the lovely Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper (162133) and teams it up with the Very Best Occasions (159871).

A few of the Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins (161627) add a bit of shine and elegance to the card.

I’m excited that some of the elements from this Suite will be carrying over so you’ll want to make sure that you get the Bundle that is part of the retirement list now so you don’t miss out.

Enjoy and don’t forget to stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a tutorial with you!

It’s a Traditional Christmas with Saint Nicholas

Do you have Saint Nic come to your house and fill the stockings? I know when I was a child my girlfriend did and thought it was pretty cool. I had no idea then that December 6th is Saint Nicholas Day, better known as Nikolaus in Germany. And while the day may not receive the full religious celebration it does in Southern Germany and other traditionally Catholic regions, children across Europe look forward to this day each year by leaving a stocking or shoe by the fireplace. As soon as I saw this set it made me think of my friend Dawn and her families tradition.

The Saint Nicholas Stamp Set (retiring 162099) that was used for this first card also has a coordinating die set and comes in a money saving bundle too.

Our Stampin’ Blends were used to color the image and it’s been cut out with our Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173). And this next card also uses a traditional feeling stamp set, the Regal Reindeer stamp set (159722) and it’s coordinating set of Reindeer Dies (159727).

his time the reindeer was colored with our Watercolor Pencils for a softer feel. Both are great for the holiday season.

Festive Fun

Fun little animals aways draw my eye and today’s card has a giraffe! The Festive & Fun stamp set (retiring 162078) contains fun little animal images doing traditional holiday things.

Check out this card that uses the set along with the Tiny Christmas Tree Die (retiring 162114) and cheerful Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper (retiring 161945).

Cute, right? Stampin’ Blends were used to give this image bold colors and the Iridescent Adhesive Backed Discs (161954) add some shimmer to the ornaments on the image. They fit just right inside the stamped images.

Magical Meadow Card Tutorial

Today’s card is done in the soft colors of Lost Lagoon, Moody Mauve and Misty Moonlight giving it a soft winter feel.

I’ve used the Magical Meadow Stamp Set (Retiring 162134) that will be retiring and is only available while supplies last along with the Something Fancy Dies (160424) from the Annual Catalog. You might already have this set of label dies since it is a great staple that you’ll use over and over again.

the Magical Meadow stamp set is a beautiful set with DisInkTive ™ images and wonderful winter sentiments. It is part of the Winter Meadow Suite of Products (162150) and while the stamp set and dies are on the retirement list some of the accessories are not, so you can get additional accessories like the paper in the future. Remember, if a suite or bundle is sold out you can always purchase things separately.

Here is a video tutorial for you and PDF with the complete supply list, YouTube Link, and measurements with instructions for recreating this card.
