About Stamp with Jini

My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Homemade Treats

It’s that time of year and I’m baking! I love to bake this time of year and listening to Bing croon. Baking Christmas cookies has been a life long tradition that started with my mom and grandma when I was a child. I’ve passed that tradition on to my children when they were young. My children started by sitting on the counter next to me and helping to pour in the ingredients and of course decorate the cookies. They are all grown up now of course, but my son still loves to stop in and help me with his favorites. lol

So today’s Homemade Treats Bundle (Online Exclusive 166017) brings back special memories for me.

Check out today’s card using the bundle. The sentiment has been stamped in Gray Granite and die cut using the Peace on Earth Dies (Last Chance 165924) and then layered on to the dry embossed Old Olive panel using the coordinating embossing folder, Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder (165928) that adds interest to the background.

The cookie sheet has a fun sheen to it that has been created with packing tape that has been added to the card stock before it has been cut out. And of course a little pop of color ahs been added with the Dear Dots (165848) sprinkled around the card.

Fun, right? If you haven’t already checked out our Online Exclusive products be sure to stop by my Online Store since you won’t find these products in any of our catalogs.

Lights & Wonder

Lights in the Sky, the magical Northern Lights have been seen recently as far as North Georgia where I live. Something I thought I’d never get to experience unless I went to Alaska, now I can’t wait to see them in all their glory next year!

The Lights of Aurora Suite (Last Chance 165758) has a wonderful pack of 6×6 Designer Series Paper in it

called the Lights of Aurora 6×6 Designer Series Paper (165755) that is filled with images of the northern lights that is perfect for your projects.

Today’s card uses that Designer Series Paper and teams it up with the Peace on Earth Stamp set (Last Chance 165918) to make a wonderful card of encouragement for a friend.

This card not only shows off this beautiful paper but is also a fun fold, called the Fold Back Card. You open the card by folding back the right edge, which allows the sentiment to swing back and the card to open.

The inside shows off more of the lovely paper. This card uses one full sheet of the 6×6 since the two larger panels are 3″ x 5 1/4″ and the small panel is the last little bit from the top 3/4″ “waste” piece and measures 3/4″ x 5 1/4″.

How do you make this fun fold? It’s so simple, simply score your 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ card base in the center like normal at the 4 1/4″ mark and then score again at the 7 1/2″. Decorate the panels as desired and then add the sentiment (or another element) that creates the closure. You’ll want to pop this element up on the 1″ section only to create a bit of height so it swings easily. That’s it! So simple but definitely a wow kind of card. Why not give it a try?

More Snowy Delights

As winter weather and snow plows are working over time in parts of the country I’ve been watching my old school friends posting their snow pictures from the area I grew up. So today I’m going to share some cards using the lovely Snowy Delights Bundle (Last Chance 165809).

This bundle is filled with fun products that coordinate together or that stand alone and today’s cards show the fun you can have with this bundle.

This first card uses the Snowy Delights Decorative Masks (Last Chance 165808) and a fun contemporary color combo of Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel.

A bit of the Balmy Blue 1/2″ Sheer Ribbon (Last Chance 165767) gives some texture to the project and a place for the sentiment to be placed. Don’t you love the little stitched edge on the Snowy Delight Dies (Last Chance 165807) used for the sentiment? I just love these fun little details to add texture and interest to our projects.

And this next card is done in Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon for a softer feel.

Simple stamping was used for the back drop of the die cut snowflake and a fun little Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments (164223) add a bit of sparkle and shine to the center of the snowflake.

And last but not least is this fun fold card with a special snowflake belly band.

The Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder (161600) and die cut snowflakes give it tons of texture. And the pop of shine has been added with the Gold Shaker Stars (Online Exclusive 166065).

Remove the snowflake belly band and you’ve got a fun little suprise.

North Pole Delivery

Love little animals? Check out the North Pole Delivery Suite (Last Chance 165850) it’s filled with cute little animals along with a fun 3d die too.

Today’s card uses the cute little bear to send a message of cheer.

Done in Poppy Parade and Pool Party is has a retro feel. The fun little Dear Dots (165848) and Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder (161600) add some texture to the card.

And of course isn’t it fun when the Designer Series Paper is able to be cut out using the dies? No fussy cutting and this allows for quick projects with less stamping or coloring. Today’s card simply colors the bear and gifts using Stampin’ Blends and pulls the color pallet from the North Pole Delivery Designer Series Paper (Last Chance 165837).

Branching Out

Looking for a wonderful all occasion stamp set that you can also use for holiday cards? The Branching Out Stamp set (Last Chance 169204)

has wonderful 2 step images and all occasion sentiments that can be used year round. Today’s card uses this set

This card has been done in warm natural colors that makes you feel like you are in the woods. The card is done in Early Espresso, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake. It also highlights the Branching Out Dies (165775) which are a great versatile set of dies. They add texture along with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder (164069).

A fun little technique using the Stampin’ Blends on the Rhinestones Basic Jewels (144220) to add color which brought in a pop of Real Read and ties in the sentiment too.

Did you know while the Bundle is now no longer available, you can still purchase the stamp set and dies separately. So as we head into the Last Chance list being posted and the end of wind down to the Mini, please remember if a Suite or Bundle is gone you can still purchase the items in the Suite or Bundle separately.
