Do you enjoy learning new technique that you can use in your projects? I know I do and fall is a great time to dust them off and use them since they can create a wow factor to your projects. So today I’m sharing a Ink Swipe Technique that I recently shared with my Team, the Blue Mountain Stampers at our October Team Meeting.
This technique is quick and simple to do using some of your favorite colors for fall. And why not pull out that Very Vanilla card stock too? I love using this card stock during the holidays as it has a warmer less bright feel to it.
Want to see how I created this card? Check out my video tutorial and PDF.
Loveliest Tree Ink Swipe Technique Card & Technique Book Page PDF
Not only does my PDF contain everything you need to create this card, it also has a fun technique page for a technique book you can build to keep the tutorials in.
I don’t know about you, but when I first started stamping I kept every card as a reference, which was silly since I should have been using them! These technique book page is something I share in my classes just like the card sketches. So why not join me for a class and learn some fun new things?

The images from the Amber Autumn Stamp Set (165883) have been colored using Stampin’ Blends for a bold look and instead of using the traditional Memento Tuxedo Black the image has been stamped in Early Espresso Classic Ink.
This Joy Fold Card has a bit of a twist. Instead of using the card stock as the left side of the card as is traditional it uses the layer of Designer Series Paper instead. Open the card and it shows off both lovely patterns.
Simply take your traditional card base and adhere the 6″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Designer Series Paper that has been scored at 4″ onto the card front. Then add your focal point panel (a piece of Old Olive card stock that measure 6 1/2″ x 3 1/2″; scored at 3 1/4″) to the card front as desired. Open the card base and you still have a large area for your message too. Cool right?
Did you know that you can use our Classic Inks when coloring with our Blends? Since they are water based you can use any of the Classic Pads to customize your look, why not give it a try for your next project?
If you enjoyed this little twist on the Joy Fold card why not try it for a card you’re making? I love swapping with my fellow demonstrators and learning new little things like this so I can share them with you!
Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing a fun tutorial with you that is perfect for fall!
Do you love the fall? The changing colors and cooling nights, along with taking the kids to pick out a pumpkin to carve and hay rides. I know we enjoyed those things when the kids were young. We specially loved to camp in the autumn and sit around the fire enjoying the fellowship of friends and family. So today’s card makes me think of those times and the fun we had together.
This fun fold is simple to create take a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of card stock and score it at 2″, 3 1/8″, 5 3/8″, and 6 1/2″. Then decorate as desired. A signature panel can be added to the back in the 2 1/4″ section behind the focal point. Why not give it a try?

Fall is here and the leaves are turning quickly creating a wonderful pallet of colors on the trees here in North Georgia. How about in your area? But the cooler days and nights make me this fall so today’s card is celebrating this new season.
And this card was inspired by the creation Stampin’ Up! shared with us. Don’t you love being able to CASE (copy and share everything)? And why not change it up a bit to suit you and make it yours like this card does?
Wonder how the sentiment was created? It’s simple stamp your sentiment onto a strip of card stock the height you’d like and then run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss using the Die to coordinate with the die cut Designer Series Paper. Yep, it’s that simple to create those wonderful sentiments for this project.

The leaves are scattered across my front lawn and the golds are showing off their colors already. Where did the summer go? With the holidays around the corner I thought I’d share some wonderful Autumn cards with you today using the Amber Autumn Stamp Set (165883) and their coordinating dies.
This Bundle is part of the Autumn Toile Suite (165904) so you have lots of wonderful products to create with.
today’s card both use the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper (165882) with it’s rich fall color pallet and images. This first card uses a fun fold to show off the beautiful paper.
Open it and you’ll see the first sentiment hiding behind the Autumn Wishes.
Lift the flap and you’ll see the signature panel along with the other side of the Designer Series Paper, showing you the full coordination that we all love Stampin’ Up! for.
This next card uses the same pattern of Designer Series Paper but takes a different direction
using the Cajun Craze as a bold pop of color against the Early Espresso. The sentiment has been punched out using the Modern Oval Punch (162234) and popped up along with the die acorns and leaves to give it a bit of shadow. The Rhinestones have been colored with the Stampin’ Blends add a bit of richness to the card.
So what do you think? Do these cards capture the wonders of Autumn for you? Why not stop by my Online Store and check these products out today? And don’t forget if a Suite isn’t available you can look at the different products that create the Suite – the Bundle gives you the same 10% discount that you’ll receive in the Suite. Also, have you seen the option to add your email so you’ll get notification when a product comes back in stock? It’s a time saver for sure.
I find that our fall stamps are great for techniques and since this stamp is a big background stamp it makes cards quick too.
Check out this lovely card using the Etched Autumn stamp
that uses a quick Sponge Daubers (133773) for a quick and easy application of colors. Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Calypso Coral and Garden Green were applied randomly onto the stamp. Make sure to start with the lightest color first so you don’t contaminate your lighter color ink pads. Breath or huff onto the stamp to reactivate the ink and stamp. Yep, it’s that easy!
I love the earthy feel of this card that makes me think of crisp fall days – I can hear the crunch of leaves beneath my feet. How about you?
