Another Thank You & New Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Set

Have you tried our Photopolymer stamps? Well if you haven’t yet, you should give them a try they are so easy to work with. They are really sticky, so just place them on your block and go. And Stampin’ Up! has stepped up our Photopolymer line by including them in the NEW 2014 Catalog. There are a lot of new sets too, yipppie!

And now not only can you find Another Thank You (136835) in the 2014 Catalog (available June 2nd), but they come in our Clear Mount Stamp Cases just like our other sets and have a wonderful new scent too – Chocolate! Gone is that chemical smell of Photopolymers. No airing out your sets – Yippie!

I showed you a gift that I gave for  graduation the other day for one of the twins and today’s project is the gift set I made with Another Thank You for the other twin.

Another Thank You note card set In Color (3)

These note cards are also done in the NEW 2014-2016 In Colors that will be available on June 2nd. Along with a little note pad, pen, and clip using the yummy NEW Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stacks (133701).

Moonlight note pad and pen (4)

Although the gifts used a different stamp set I did end up packaging them the same way.

Would you believe this plastic bag is from some Playtex bras that my Aunt bought while she was visiting! LOL. Shhhh……Don’t tell the boys! Recycle and Reuse – think out of the box and you’ll be amazed what you can come up with. These little plastic bags were perfect for this set of note cards and stationary items.

Work of Art 2014 Catalog Sneak Peek

Last week I showed you one of the graduation cards that I made for the weekend’s graduation party. Would you like to see the small graduation gift that I put together for one of the twins to go with their cards? I always like tuck a check into the card, but wanted to include something special too and think this little gift was a hit.

Work of Art In Color Graduation Card Set (6)

For this set I used the Work of Art stamp set (134111/134114) which I received during the Catalog Premier last month and used the NEW 2014 -2016 In Colors that I got in my box (squeal of delight!).

I made a set of 10 Note Cards & Envelopes (131527), 2 each of Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and Tangelo Twist. Aren’t the colors yummy?

Moonlight note pad and pen (3)

I also covered a pad of paper, extra large binder clip, and pen to coordinate for them using the NEW Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack (133701). I tucked everything, including a book of stamps into a little pouch that I had laying around and tied it up with some Summer Starfruit 1 1/4″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (132980) from the Occasions Catalog which ends June 1st and a little piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine (124262).

Luau Sea Glass Jar Tutorial

Have you ever had one of those days? Well yesterday was one for me that started with a flat tire and ended with finding out my husband took my camera that contained all the items I wanted to share with you this week to work. So although I didn’t share my Luau Sea Glass Jar Tutorial with you yesterday I’m happy to say I recreated it and that I’m able to today.

Luau Sea Glass Jar

I made these cute little Luau Sea Glass Jars for my daughters Luau Graduation Party on Saturday. I set them around the food table as decorations filled with sand and flickering tea lights for a touch of ambiance.

They seemed to be a hit with the kids and they are sooo easy to make, you’re going to love it! The choices are endless –I’m already seeing cascading flowers made with our punches too, hmm. I think I need to make some more in a new In Colors that will be available tomorrow– lol.

I’m sure that you’ll find your own fun ways to use them. I’d love to hear about it when you do, so come back and share your creations with me. Leave me a comment when you make your own Luau Sea Glass Jars and tell me all about it and what you’ve used them for!

Supplies:

Inks: Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (item 111840), Melon Mambo Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (item 115662)

Other supplies: Elmer’s Glue (I used the washable school glue), foam paint brush, bowl, water, measuring spoons, Hemp (67m), sea shells, hot glue gun and glue sticks

grad thank you-001

I created my Thank you card once with the built in template and then decided that I wanted to try a different color combination for the outside of the card. Here is the Tangerine Tango version of the card.

And for the inside I used my daughter’s picture (yes, the butterfly is real what luck right?)

grad thank you-003and a basic thank you above where my daughter can write her note.

I dated the back of the card with the year and school so they know when the picture was taken. If they’re like me they might place it somewhere safe and then later find it and not remember right? Sound familiar – lol.

Luau Punch Art

Yesterday I shared with you the first party invitations I created for my daughter’s luau themed graduation. Today I’ll share with you the final item I created for her to choose from my luau punch art card.

Punch Art Luau Invite (1)

This card is actually 5″ x 7″ since I couldn’t get it down to the traditional 4 ¼” x 5 ½” like the others from yesterday. But since it was just the front and not a full card I was ok with that too. The My Digital Studio graduation announcements I made with the Embark Graduate Ensemble (click HERE) were post cards that were 5″ x 7″ also.

Want to know which of the four cards I made for her she chose? Drum roll please…… She narrowed it down for me the two cards based on what she liked

Sweets for the Sweet invite

Punch Art Luau Invite (1)

Then asked me which one was harder. She is so sweet. In the end we both decided that the punch art card was just too stinking cute! So we went with it. I know called me crazy, right? But this is my baby and the last one to graduate from high school for us. So why not do it up big….and I knew I had a stamping pal who would be game to help me out.

What does mass assembly luau punch art cards look like? Here are a couple of shots of Cindy and me working on parts of the cards – at least the first 40, LOL. We had a great time visiting and punching together!

Punch Art Luau invite assembly (1)Punch Art Luau invite assembly (2)

My daughter later added another 30 for her friends she’d forgot to put on my list. I didn’t get to take a shot of them all together since I’d already mailed the first group but by then it was quick and easy and I had a lot of fun so I found it a great break and creating them rather relaxing. I know crazy – but they are sooo cute!

Punch Art Luau Invite (2)

Embark Graduate Announcements

Friday I promised you I would share a recent project that I made with you using My Digital Studio. As I’ve mentioned before my youngest is graduating from high school this spring. It has really snuck up on me, her senior year has just flown by so quickly. So when the Embark Graduate Ensemble was released earlier I knew this was the way to go! (You can click HERE to see that post).

My sister took these great pictures when we visited her last summer of Kaitlin and they really turned out great. Sooo all I had to do was drop and drag. Easy peezy! Here is the template like it comes when you open it.

graduation announcement-007

And the back of the post card. I  did tweak this area and personalized the text to include a few things that I wanted – but the basic layout is stock.

graduation announcement-008

Well – I couldn’t leave it this way, right so I played around to incorporate school colors with Kaitlin.

I love the way the new upgrades to My Digital Studio allow you to change colors for the different elements! You can customize almost anything now! Whoohoo, right?

graduation announcement-001

We had a blast changing and trying the different layouts and here is what Kaitlin finally liked. Notice the Tangerine Tango Glimmer Paper? It originally came with Champagne Glimmer Paper in the template. We tried Going Gray, Night of Navy and Pumpkin Pie and finally went with the Tangerine Tango option. (Our school colors are orange, blue, silver, and white so there were plenty to choose from.)

graduation announcement-002

Kaitlin was excited about these. Which says a lot about My Digital Studio because she isn’t really my “stamper”, but loves to work with My Digital Studio, it’s defiantly more her style. She loves her tech gear and is always trying to get me up to speed.

We ended up designing three different versions of the graduation announcement. Uploaded them and quickly got them back, without ever leaving the house – the printing looks great and of course with Stampin’ Up! you know it will be great quality.

This was also a great budget option since I didn’t have to buy the graduation announcements and the photos! Which means more left over for the party and I’m using the Embark Graduate Ensemble to create party items too! Love the coordination – makes me smile to see everything match. And with the 25% off on My Digital Studio right now I’m lovin’ it. How about you? You can click HERE to see more about My Digital Studio and the latest downloads too.

Better go, because right now I’m working on those party invites and want to share them with you later in the week. We realized we needed an additional 27 for her friends last night after we stuffed all the family envelopes I’d done already – so I’m busy working to meet tomorrow’s deadline.

Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card Holder

Last week I shared a card that I had created with the Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts Die. Today I am going to share another way to use the Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts Die – this time to make a Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card Holder.

Pop n Cuts Gift Card Holder

Isn’t this Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card Holder cute? I love these little pinwheels and so I wanted to use them with the coordinating sentiment stamp set Wishes Your Way. I thought that the little greeting included in this set would be great for a graduate.

And since I’m currently gearing up for my daughters high school graduation I’ve been focusing on ideas for  graduation gifts and cards. Gift card holders are always something I need. How about you? And the Card Base Pop ‘n Cuts Die makes this gift card holder not only cute, but easy too.

Want to learn how to make one of these Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card Holders for yourself? Why not check out my latest video

Here is a  Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card Holder Tutorial PDF that you can download or print

New In Color – Summer Starfruit

The end of school is fast approaching for us – which of course means that graduation is already upon us. So… I thought I would share with you one of the cards that I made for a friend of ours. I love this retired stamp set from a previous Mini Catalog that I used – it’s well, just fun. Part of what I love when I buy an item from Stampin’ Up! is the confidence that it will coordinate and work with products that I will buy in the future – makes my purchases wise ones.

Can you see the NEW In Color, Summer Starfruit? I even dyed my Whisper White ¼” Grosgrain Ribbon using the ink pad and sponge. It’s soo easy to do. Just lay your ribbon on the pad and use a dauber to apply the color. I was pleased by the way it turned out.  graduationSupplies:

Inks: StazOn Black, Cherry Cobbler and Summer Starfruit

Paper: Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Summer Starfruit

Accessories: ¼” Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Sponge Dauber, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8″ Circle Punches, 1 ¾” Scallop Circle Punch, and 3/16″ Corner Punch
