Storybook Friends & more

Today I’m going to share some more about #OnStageRaleigh and some of the wonderful swaps I’ve received, so this will be another longer post. lol Today I’m going to start with the swaps, but you’ll want to read all the way to the end since I’ll be sharing the NEW 2025 In Colors with you too!

Since it is the first day of spring I thought I’d start with cards that make me think spring. So I’m going to start with the cards I received with the Storybook Moments Suite (164681) as I have a fun 3d tutorial using this product that I’ll be sharing with you tomorrow. This first card the Storybook Friends Dies (164674) and our Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (165679) to create the fun frames that you see.

Simply add VersaMark Pad (102283/102193) to your card stock, sprinkle with the embossing powder and heat. Voila! shinny frames that have kind of a patina look The sentiment is from the Unbounded Love Stamp set (163378). This next card uses the fun pack of Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper (164662) and it’s die cut pieces to create this simple note card.

This next card uses the Spotlight on Nature Bundle (163581) one of my favorite since the dies are so versatile. It also uses the

This card uses just two colors Memento Tuxedo Black and Misty Moonlight making it quick and easy. The Elements of Text stamp set (Online Exclusive 164774) that has been used behind the sentiment and image gives it some texture along with the Tinsel Gems Three Pack (161624).

These next to card use the Memorable Blooms Bundle (164826) and their color choice give them such different feels. This first card has a soft feel

and this next card that uses our Unbound Beauty Designer Series Paper (163372) has a more bold feel with its Petunia Pop and Summer Splash colors.

And check out this fun card using the Happiest Day stamp set (163605) who can resist this bright cheerful colors?

And for my last card today that I’ll be sharing with you the Thankful Garden Bundle (Online Exclusive 165534).

Done in blues these flowers make me think of my Mother-in-Law who always had them in her yard. Do you see the Two Tone Sparkle Gems (Online Exclusive 164633)? This gems are just beautiful in person and add a lovely hint of color with their two tones.

Now on to a bit about #OnStage, our first full day included sharing and learning about the new 2025 Annual Catalog and Online Exclusives that are coming soon.

In the evening we had a choice to participate in OnStage After Hours and play with the new products! Who can resist that?

As we gathered with new and old friends at our tables we crafted! Here are the cards I made that evening using the upcoming May Online Exclusive, Impressions Abloom stamp set (Online Exclusive 165605).

And here is one using the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set (165223) that will be available in the NEW 2025 Annual Catalog and is part of a suite

that my table mate made. Same sketch with a twist. Isn’t he cute? Watch for more coming on this sketch in my tutorials soon.

And of course you’ll be wanting to see the NEW 2025 In Colors, right? They are a beautiful sets of colors that I think you’ll enjoy adding to your current color selection.

In the order on the photo they are Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, Cloud Cover, Strawberry Slush and Secret Sea. I’m thinking the Secret Sea is going to be a wonderful neutral to use in projects as it seems like it is almost black.

Stay tuned for color comparisons with our current colors as we get closer to the catalog launch.

Card Sketches Crate Tutorial

I’ve been sharing my card sketches with you over the past months and today I’m going to share one of the ways I store them on my desk with this cute little crate I decorated.

I’ve used a inexpensive wooden crate that I found at my local dollar store to decorate and have given you a PDF that even has the labels that you can die cut in both black and Blackberry Bliss so you can choose how you decorate your little crate. Simply print the PDF you want on Basic White Card stock and go!

These card sketches are great for inspiration and having them handy on my desk makes it easy to get started!

I’ve punched a hole on them and put them on a ring to keep them together so they sit up nicely in my wooden crate.

Want to see how I decorated this crate? I’ve got a PDF and video tutorial for you so you can make them too!

Under the Moon

It’s the lazy days of summer and I’m dreaming about the beach, how about you? I have always loved the water and watching the waves roll in. Lake Michigan was a great place to go in the summer as a teen as it was always cooler on the water. The Under the Moon stamp set (163531) makes me think of those lazy summer nights with my friends.

Check out these lovely cards using this stamp set. The first card uses some simple heat embossing with our Metallic Wow! Embossing Powders (165678) to create a back drop of stars.

The Layering Leaves stamp set (161277) has a perfect image for this and the Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon (162011) adds another pop of gold. Recognize the sentiment? It’s from our Unbounded Love Stamp set (163378), since this is an image only set you can choose your favorite sentiment set to go with it! And I hope you can see it but the moon has been cut out with our Stylish Shapes Dies (159183) that have a lovely stitched edging to highlight it.

This next card has a tropical feel to it since it uses our In Color, Summer Splash and the Perennial Postage Dies (162607).

Don’t you love the little dolphins?

Same stamp set, very different looks and feel. It’s one of the things I love about stamping – so easy to change things up with just a bit of color!

Summer Splash

Are you longing for the clean clear water of your favorite summertime beach? The Summer Splash reminds me of those wonderful ocean views from my stays at Mini’s Haven on the Panama City Coast. I was immediately drawn to this color when I saw it and knew it would be one that I would reach for over and over again.

Today’s cards all use the Summer Splash to create monochromatic cards, this first one uses simple stamping. The card uses the Of Art & Texture (Online Exclusive 162687) and the Sweetly Scripted Stamp set (Online Exclusive 163600) to create a lovely congratulations card.

And how about this thank you card? Stamped using the Spotlight on Nature Stamp set (163579).

The card uses our 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper (163771) and 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (163777) to add interest and of course the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (163781) that were used on both of these cards are a must have with their beautiful iridescent shine.

How about a simple card with a lot of texture?

This card uses the Unbounded Love Bundle (163384) which is part of our Bundle Sale and the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder (163483) to create some wonderful geometric texture as a back drop. The soft Summer Splash 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (163786) add a bit more texture to the card.

Next I’ve got a super simple fun fold card for you. What makes it a fun fold is the simple scoring. This card base is 11″ x 4 1/4″ and it’s scored at the 2″ and 7 1/2″ marks rather than the traditional 5 1/2″.

It’s been decorated with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder (163414) and Basic Rhinestones Jewels (144220). The sentiment is from the Trust Tools Stamp Set (163274).

And the final card for the day uses the Wild Ferns Stamp set (162648)

Texture has been added to the background with a simple layered panel using the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (163777) and then dry embossed using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder (161600). I love the die that has been used to wrap around the sentiment panel that was created with the Wild Ferns Dies (162654).

So what do you think? What does this color make you think of? Why not leave me a comment and let me know what you think of when you see it? Then stop back by tomorrow when I’ll be sharing another of our wonderful 2024-2026 In Colors with you.

Shy Shamrock

It’s a new week and I thought it would be a great time to share our NEW In Colors for 2024-2026. Have you seen them? These colors remind me of summer and are a fun addition to our core color collections. So each day this week I’ll be sharing some monochromatic cards with you highlighting one color per day.

Today it’s Shy Shamrock – the shades of summer with all those greens are now in place as the days grow longer and the temperatures rise. Shy Shamrock is a lovely shade of green, fresh, and clean and makes me things of those fields of grass and trees.

Today’s cards all use the NEW In Color Shy Shamrock to create lovely monochromatic cards.

This first card uses the color to create a lovely and using it’s name sake and creating a shamrock using the Adorning Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies (162569)

The So Swirly Embossing Folder (163791) was used to create a background with lots of texture. A bit of ink has been brushed on using a Blending Brushes (153611 or 160518) and the Modern Oval Punch (Online Exclusive 162234) was used to pop up the sentiment found in the Something Fancy Stamp Set (160416).

These next two cards use our wonderful stack of 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (163777) that contains four fun patterns all which are highlight in these cards.

This first card uses the Spotlight on Nature Dies (163580) which are a great stand alone die set. The sentiment is from our NEW Unbounded Love Stamp set (163378) that is part of this months Bundle Sale and of course the 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots (163389) were used once again on this card for a small pop of color on the sentient.

This next card once again uses the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (163777) along with the sentiment and the lovely detailed frame from the Unbounded Love Bundle (163384).

A bit of texture was added with Petal Pink & White 1/4″ Diagonal Trim Combo Pack (163417) between the two strips of 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (163777). If you haven’t seen this ribbon already, it’s a great choice and since it is white you can customize it with color too.

Our final card today is a simple holiday card.

The 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper (163771) has been used for the evergreen that has been die cut using the Merriest Trees Dies (162047). The background has been dry embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder (162026) which adds some lovely texture while the Shy Shamrock 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (163787) grounds the evergreen and Iridescent Pearls (158987) were added as the ornaments. Simple and elegant my photo just doesn’t do this cards shimmer & shine justice.

Shy Shamrock is one of our five 2024-2026 In Colors. Did you know that our In Colors come in a money saving assortment pack? And In Colors are a great way to freshen up your color pallet since they are trendy and are right on trend.

Let’s Wander

Today is the 80th Anniversary of D Day and our landing on the beaches at Normandy. Deep appreciation is felt for our military and the sacrifices they made that day. How different our world would be without the sacrifice they all made. I remember my step father telling me about his days on the ground in France after the invasion. Both he and his older brother were part of the army that went forth to liberate France as they marched into Germany. The Greatest Generation, for sure and those that followed to protect our liberties. Today my daughter and her fiancé were able to participate and perform in the official ceremony at the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial as part of the Collegiate Mass Band. A privilege I’m sure they will remember for years. History… we need to remember

So today’s cards reminded me of those men and women who protect our freedoms.

While the set isn’t a traditional military set I love the way this boots from the Let’s Wander stamp set (163594) were used to create this card. Isn’t it great how we are only limited by our imagination when stamping and creating?

For this card “dog tags” were created using the die from the Unbounded Love Dies (163383) that has been shortened a bit. And the Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack (155475) has dots added to it using Metallics Enamel Effects Basic (161610) to create the chain effect. The background uses a simple crumbled paper technique.

How’s it done?

  1. Crumple the paper and then open it gently but don’t smooth out the paper too much.
  2. Open your Classic Ink Pad and drag it over the top.
  3. Repeat with the next color

This card uses Lemon Lime Twist, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie to create the camouflage effect.

You can add a spritz or two of water or rubbing alcohol to blend the colors a bit or even a bit of Blending Brush with some ink if you want to add color to the low spots. It’s a fun technique that I look forward to playing with. How about you?

This next card uses the more traditional look that the set inspires – the great out doors and hiking.

The Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (163303) was used as a quick background perfect for the sentiment which highlights the disconnecting that one enjoys in the great out doors. A bit of Linen Thread (104199) was used to add some texture and mimic book laces and the sentiment has been cut out using the Deckled Rectangle Dies (159173) and some sponging to “weather it”.

This stamp set is one that I totally missed and after seeing these two cards will take another look at. I’m feeling inspired. How about you?

On a personal note: My procedure went well and feeling good about my recovery after seeing my surgeon today. Optimistic about the third time being the charm! I can spend time out of my sling which feels wonderful. I appreciate all your thoughts and well wishes and look forward to seeing everyone at classes again soon.

Don’t forget to stop back by tomorrow when I have another card tutorial for you

Petunia Pop’s Unbounded Love

Have you seen the NEW 2024-2026 In Colors? Petunia Pop is one of our new colors, and as always shades of purple are extremely popular. This color is sure to please with it’s bright cheerful hue.

This card has a ton of texture since it uses products from the Unbounded Beauty Suite of Products (163390). The card’s background Basic White layer is dry embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder (163414), the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper (163777) has four great patterns that are all shown here along with the wonderfully elegant 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper (163771).

A bit more texture is added with a detailed die cut image from the Flowers of Beauty Dies (163375) and sentiment that has been cut out with the Unbounded Love Dies (163383) and popped up with our Stampin’ Dimensionals. While the layout is fairly simple the combination is quite striking.

Today’s card is another Monochromatic card and the 2024-2026 In Color Collection makes this a simple thing to do since we have assortment card stock packs, Designer Series Paper Stack, and Ink and Marker Bundles too!

So what do you think? Like the new Petunia Pop In Color? You can find all these colors and coordinating products in my Online Store.
