My name is Jini Merck and I'm a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator. I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone create that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people in your life. I live in Clarkesville which is in the North Georgia Mountains with my husband and two children. Although my family keeps me busy I enjoy the creativity of stamping and crafts and the fellowship stamping brings into my life. Spending time creativing cards and gifts for friends and family has been one of my favorite hobbies over the years.

Beautiful Butterflies

Today’s cards use the fun Beautiful Butterflies Bundle (164615) and things from the Beautiful Bokeh Suite (164619).

This first card uses the Dies to create a fun that flips open using the butterfly die that is designed to do just that!

Making this card so easy, simply line it up on the score line and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss. Done in shades of Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon it uses some simple stamping and a bit of the Blender Brush to add some color to the embossed card stock.

And this next card is a fun fold called the 3 Vertical Panel Front Card.

The card is created with simple scores and cuts, folds flat for mail, and stands up for display.

The lovely Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper (164607) sets the color pallet for this project using Pretty in Pink and Fresh Freesia to highlight the butterflies.

Some of the iridescent Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix Embellishments (164618) adds a bit of shine to the project as they catch the light. Fold the butterflies’ wings a bit for a look of butterflies in flight.

Sale-a-bration’s Dance with Me!

Dancing is a great time. I fell in love with it when our teacher introduced all different kinds of line dancing and square dancing one year. A way to express yourself, celebrate, have fun, and yes get a bit of exercise at the same time.

Check out this lovely card that has been created with the set.

This card uses Stampin’ Blends to create a bright focal point and our Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper (164607) to add a pop of soft color to the card front. Another fun Sale-a-bration product, the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins (Sale-a-bration 164970) was used to add some shine and texture around the sentiment.

Spotlight on Nature Thank You Card Tutorial

It’s Friday! So today I’m sharing with you another card that I created with the Spotlight on Nature Stamp set (163579) that is part of our Annual Catalog products.

Done in our In Color, Pretty in Pink it is a wonderful card that reminds us spring is around the corner, don’t you think?

So today here is a quick video tutorial showing you how I created this thank you card.

Birthday Celebrations

It’s that time of year and my eyes always turn to birthday cards since I need to create them for family and friends. With 2 birthdays always on January 1st it’s one of the first things I need every year. If you are like me and love to create birthday cards for your loved ones why not take a look at the Wildflower Birthday Suite (164604) from the Mini Catalog?

This Suite if filled with some wonderful products to get you started this year. Check out this card made with products from the Suite.

The sentiment has been heaty embossed in our gold embossing powder from the Metallic Wow! Embossing Powders set of 3 metallics (165678). The sentiment has then been punched out using the Labeled with Love Punch (163569). A bit of our Peach Pie 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (163783) has been folded and added to one side and with a bit of fussy cutting you’ve got a lovely little coordinating flower on the tag. One of the Party Dots (164602) has been added to add a bit more interest and texture to the flower.

As for the background the sentiment sits on simple strips of the beautiful Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper (164591) have been adhered to a piece of Pretty in Pink Card stock. The layered panel has been run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss using the FREE Starstruck Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration 164972) to add a bit of interest and texture to the panel. Voila! a lovely little card that has a very feminine feel.

Change up the colors and you create a more masculine card, that is the great part of stamping. Same products totally different look and feel!

For the Books

Are you a book lover? I know my kids both were and here is a wonderful choice for creating projects for those who love books. The For the Books Bundle (164843)

consists of a stamp set and dies that coordinate with it. Check out these cards made using this Bundle.

This first card uses the To Market Designer Series Paper (163421) and simple stamping to create a backdrop for the focal point, a die cut book.

and a bit of shimmer was added using the Antique Pearls (164679). And this next card is a fun fold

with a bookmark. A little pocket is created to hold the book mark on the front of the card. The book mark is simple but has a lot of texture since it uses the Starstruck Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration 164972) that you can get for FREE when you place a qualifying order in February. And the little pull is our Basic Beige 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (163788) and Linen Thread (104199).

Wonder how the pocket was made? This card measures 11″ x 5 1/2″. It is scored at the 4 1/4″ and 8 1/2″ marks and then a diagonal cut is made at the 6″ mark on the top to 1 3/4 on the side. Fold it on the score line and adhere along the bottom.

And this last card has another fun little bookmark that is a removable corner.

This card uses another of our fun Sale-a-bration products, the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 164944). This paper has wonderful patterns that are bright and cheerful and perfect for your spring projects.

Darling Dinos

Have some dinosaur fans in your circle? If so you’ll want to take a look at the adorable little Darling Dinos stamp set (164728) from the Mini Catalog.

This stamp set has a coordinating set of dies that give you even more images to choose from. Check out this fun little card using this set.

Colored with our Stampin’ Blends the colors are bold and cheerful. The back drop uses our blending brushes to create the sky and grass along with some simple stamping. And aren’t the sentiments cute?

Fun with Sale-a-bration’s Heart Shaped Bundle

Today’s cards use the Sale-a-bration option, Heart Shaped Bundle (Sale-a-bration 164953) that includes a stamp set and dies.

With Valentine’s and weddings coming up it is a wonderful choice when deciding on your FREE Sale-a-bration item.

This first card is a sweet little purse type card that has been created in our In Color, Pretty in Pink.

This little purse has lots of texture since it uses the Dotted Circle 3d Embossing Folder (163789) for the purse itself and the lovely Pretty in Pink 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon (163784) for the handle. The little clasp that holds it shut are 2 of the die cut pieces. Isn’t the sweet gold flower cut from our Gold Foil Sheets (132622) and Antique Pearls (164679) a nice touch?

Open the purse and you’ll see another cute little flower

and the sentiment along with the Country Lace Designer Series Paper (163415) that pulls the colors together.

And the last card I’m sharing with you today is a stand up card with a simple box on the left.

It uses our Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 164944) and adds a pop of gold with our Adhesive Backed Heart Sequins (Online Exclusive 164920). This card is a little shorter than normal since it has the box portion, so it is only 5 inches long.

But it is super simple to create the box since the panel buts right up to the score line. Simply score the 11″ x 4 1/4″ base at 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2 and 6 and decorate! And it folds flat too so it is great for mailing as it fits into our standard envelope.

I didn’t get to share my weekly tutorial with you on Friday so I thought I’d share it with you today. My friendship card today uses the Sale-a-bration stamp Friendly Seagulls stamp set (Sale-a-bration 164961) and is one of the items you can earn for FREE during February.

Can you hear the sounds of the waves and sea gulls? I’d dreaming of warmer temperatures now that we have hit the high 60s for a couple of days!

More Terrific Toadstools

Yesterday I shared with you some fun cards using the Terrific Toadstools Bundle (164790).

Today I’m going to share with you some cards that used this fun bundle with the FREE Sale-a-bration paper that coordinates with it, the Toadstool Gardens 6×6 Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration 164942).

This 6×6 paper stack comes in fun colors and is bright and cheerful. Check out these cards that show off this paper.

This first card uses simple stamping and a fun fold to show off the Designer Series Paper. The card base is your typically one but the front of the card has been scored at the 2 1/4″ mark and folds back on itself with a panel of paper attached. And small strip of polka dot paper is adhered to the card front beneath it. The stamped panel is attached to the front and the top punched mushroom adds another shade and a bit of depth to the card. The Adhesive Backed Dragonfly & Birds (Online Exclusive 162743) add a bit of shine and whimsy to the card. Or how about this next card this next card?

It uses the same kind of fold but this time the card front is scored at 2 1/8″. The panel has a few of the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins (Sale-a-bration 164970) that you can also get for FREE.

This next card done in Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo and strips of the Designer Series Paper uses the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder (164049) to give the card texture in the background

and a bit of our 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim (161637) and a few of our Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots (162758).

And this simple punched toadstool adds a quick and simple torn edge technique to the panel along with those fun little sequins again.

Today’s final card teams up the Bundle with the Hugs for Love Bundle (165738)

A simple layer black that has been punched is layered behind the sentiment and a few of the Sunny Day Iridescent Dots (164696) add a fun pop of color and shimmer.
