Sycamore Street

I love the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper that you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration and so I thought I would show the note pads that my friend Cindy brought to our last Team Meeting for her swap.

Feel Goods Clipboards Cindys March swap

Don’t you love the sentiment set that she used to stamp on the note pads? Feel Goods (item 129681/129684) is well named since when I see or use these sentiments I just feel – well good.

And here are a couple of cards from my Leadership swaps that also use the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper. This first one uses the Henry Says stamp set (item 128090/128093) from the Spring Catalog.

And this last card uses the Oh, Hello stamp set (item 130730/130733) and one of my favorite accessories, the Paper Doilies (item 129399).

Spring Sampler Treat Box Tutorial

I made this cute little treat box using the Spring Sampler Stamp Set (item 125510/125512). I knew when I saw this set in the Spring Catalog I just had to have it – it’s so me. I could picture making quick and easy treats for all kinds of occasions.

Spring Sampler Treat boxI think the images in the Spring Sampler Stamp Set are just too cute! How about you?

Here is the Treat Box we made as a project during my March Blue Mountain Stampers meeting. We had a lot of fun thinking of different things (mostly chocolate) that we could put in the box. This time  we filled them with these yummy eggs (They come in all kinds of flavors and remind me of those I got as a child.) Shhh… don’t tell my family. They’ll be finding theirs in their rooms Easter morning. I think my hubby will love the cookie dough egg I picked out for him!

Spring Sampler Box with Chocolate

We had so much fun making these quick and easy Treat boxes I thought you’d enjoy making them too for your friends and family. So why not check out my new video below – Spring Sampler Treat Box.

And since the Spring Sampler Stamp Set has 24 images you can use it for all kinds of occasions!

Fancy Favor for Hostess Appreciation

Yesterday I told you would share the little gifts I made for my Hostess Appreciation Brunch – I like the way they turned out and seemed to be a hit with everyone. What can I say chocolate is always a hit!Hostess Appreciation Fancy Favor Box

It’s a cute little Fancy Favor Box I made using our FREE Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper filled with chocolate and coordinating card stock basket shreds.  Of course, when you use the Big Shot and our Fancy Favor Die (item 115965) it’s quick and easy to make a batch of these up for any occasion.

Did you know you can make your own basket shreds to coordinate with your projects? It’s easy all you need is some card stock and your paper shredder! It’s a tip I picked up during Leadership Conference – What a great way to use those smaller pieces of card stock you have sitting around.

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Friendly Phrases (item 126149/126151)

Paper: Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White

Accessories: Big Shot, Fancy Favor Die (item 115965), 7/8″ and 1 ¼” Scallop Circle (item 129404/127811) Punches, Bitty Buttons (item 118761), Whisper White Baker’s Twine, Tangerine Tango, and Island Indigo Stampin’ Write Markers

Pinwheel Gift Bag

Today I thought I’d share with you a little gift item that I gave my down line when I got back from Leadership in Orlando. I love the way this little pinwheel gift bag turned out – don’t you?

Pinwheel Leadership giftbag (1)

You can create these little Pinwheels with our NEW Pinwheel Sizzlits Die (item 129411). I made about 100 of them when creating one of my swaps for Leadership. You can click HERE to see the card I made for my Leadership swaps.

Pinwheel Leadership giftbag (2)

Can you see the clouds on the bag? I really like using the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder with the pinwheels since it’s fun and whimsical.

Did you know pinwheels symbolize a lot of different things to different people? Recently I found that the Chinese use pinwheels a lot during their New Year’s Celebrations due to their symbolism. While looking around – turning obstacles into opportunities quickly became my favorite and the creative jump start for creating this little pinwheel gift bag. So… I came up with the sentiment, Transform your Dreams for the bag’s banner.

Were you wondering how I created this banner? Well I used My Digital Studio and the FREE Sale-a-Bration Digital Disc. The One Big Sale-a-Bration 2013 Digital Disk is a great item to choose since it contains all of the Sale-a-bration items that you can earn FREE.

Oops – I bet your wondering what goodie I put inside my pinwheel gift bag.

Pinwheel Leadership giftbag (3)

It contains a souvenir shot glass from Orlando. These little shot glasses are a great way to store your Multipurpose Liquid Glue since it always keeps the glue at the tip and ready to use. It’s rather funny to see a group of us demonstrators pulling our shot glasses during an event!

Love these little Pinwheels as much as I do? Why not come back tomorrow to see my NEW video – Tips for Quick & Easy Pinwheels.

Hearts a Flutter Valentine Treat Boxes

Earlier today I mentioned I would share with you the Valentine Treat Boxes I made for all my Valentines today. I love these cute little boxes they are so quick and easy to make and they can be filled with an assortment of things. Today of course they are filled with chocolate!

Valentine Treat Box group

I found these Russell Stover chocolates at my local drugstore and thought they sounded yummy – as luck would have it they were just the right size too for my Valentine Treat Boxes!

I think it is safe now to share these with you since I don’t think my kids will be looking at my blog today and I’ve already given my husband his. Here are some close up shots of each of the boxes.

I’ve used the Hearts a Flutter stamp (item 129249/129252) from the Spring Catalog set to create the focal point on each of these little boxes. The Hearts a Flutter is such a fun stamp set to use I find myself reaching for it for all kinds of projects. This first box is my husbands and he got his as he headed out the door for work. (Somehow I don’t think the treat will make it all the way to Lawrenceville.)

This second box is for my son, Johnathan. Although I made this box using more masculine colors I couldn’t resist putting a little “bling” on it. So I used my sharpie to color one of our Basic Rhinestone Jewels (item 119247).

Valentine Treat Box for Johnathan

And this final box is for my daughter, Kaitlin – so I made it using softer colors.  I just love the Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (item 126844), it’s so great to work I find myself reaching for it quite often.

Valentine Treat Box for Kaitlin

I really can’t decide which box is my favorite. Which one do you like the best? Why not leave me a comment below and let me know.

Blue Mountain Stampers’ Swaps

One of my favorite parts of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is spending time sharing ideas and projects with my fellow demonstrators. I’ve been so blessed with the friendships and the people I’ve meet while on my journey as a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up!  I wanted to share a little bit about my team with you.

My Team’s name is the Blue Mountain Stampers, chosen due to fact that we live here in the North Georgia foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Recently we met for our monthly meeting and so today I want to share some of the wonderful swaps my team members brought along with them to swap.

First, I’ll share with you the swap that our newest member of the team made. Tamara recently joined my team when she took advantage of the Sale-a-bration promotion. (You can click HERE to see more information about the Sale-a-bration promotion.)

Blue Mountain Stamper February swaps Tamara

Tamara made this cute little Sweet Treat Box for Valentine’s Day using the adorable Owl Builder Punch (item 118074) and the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (item 129312) that she got in her Starter Kit. Filled with chocolate kisses it’s not only too cute but is sure to be a hit with anyone! (Quick hide it from my husband – Somehow he always knows when a swap contains chocolate!)

This next swap was created by Janie. Janie whom recently celebrated her one year anniversary as a demonstrator, gave us these wonderful cards and coordinating envelopes. I just love the way Janie thinks outside the box. She used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper (item 126902) and the Lovely Letters Alphabet stamp set (item 115030/127786) to create a personalized note card in different colors for each of us.

And finally Cindy who has been a demonstrator the longest now, brought these wonderful swaps using the Love You Much image from our NEW Best of 25 Years stamp set for February – Best of Love stamp set (item 132987)  to create her two items.

Blue Mountain Stamper February swaps Cindy (3)

I love the little envelope she made using the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper (item 126922). Doesn’t it make you smile just looking at it? The hearts were created with our Hearts a Flutter Framelits (item 130159). Both these great items can be found in our Spring Catalog.

The second item Cindy gave us makes a great gift item for someone’s desk. I really like the way Cindy used the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper (item 129309) to decorate the fabulous NEW Designer Builder Brads (item 129329) and binder clip don’t you?

Paper Hearts Video Tutorial

Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? I’m almost ready and since Valentine’s Day is just a few days away I wanted to share my video tutorial with you for these cute little Paper Hearts. I made these Paper Hearts to hang in the windows of my house. I think you’re going to have fun making them too – but be careful they’re so quick and easy they are addicting!

Here are 3 of the Paper Hearts that I made on Saturday.

Paper Hearts group

As you can see I made my Paper Hearts in 2 different sizes and I used the Hearts a Flutter Bundle (item 131098/131097) to create the spinning heart in the center. Can you see the word love stamped on the center of the larger heart? (You can check out the close up below for a better view.) I used the stamp set Fabulous Phrases to stamp the word love on one side, and the word you on the other side, so when it spins it says “Love You”.

Fabulous Phrases (item 117002/120501) is one of those stamp sets I use all the time since it is such a pretty font and it contains 30 stamps that you can make all kind of different phrases with! (Want to see some of the combinations you can make with this set? Click HERE for a PDF and then see how many more you can make!)

Paper Hearts large

Isn’t that fun? I can’t decide which one I like best since I just love the delicate scalloped heart image from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set, it reminds me of my Grandma for some reason. Why not leave me a comment below and let me know which Paper Heart you like the best.

Would you like to know how I made these Paper Hearts? Well why not check out my Paper Hearts Video Tutorial.

Here are the supplies I used to make my Paper Hearts:

Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine (item 123125  $2.95): 12″ piece

1/8″ Silver Mini Brads (item 122941 $5.50): 2

1/16″ Circle Handheld Punch (item 101227 $8.95)

Cross My Heart Valentine Treat

Have you seen the Cross My Heart Stamp Set (item 126580 w or item 126582 cm) in the Spring Catalog? Crossword puzzles remind me of my stepfather, Paul, who use to sit and work his from the Milwaukee Sentinel newspaper every day. When he could he would encourage me to help him fill them out – I was an awful speller as a child so this took a lot effort on his part.

Well, the Cross My Heart Stamp Set is just, fun – and I wanted to share a 3d swap that I received during Leadership from fellow demo Judy Westcott.

Cross My Heart 3d

Judy used several items from our Spring Catalog along with our Petite Purse Die (item 125606) to make this Valentine treat. Isn’t it cute – and of course what can you put inside? Chocolate of course!

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Cross My Heart

Inks: Raspberry Ripple

Paper: More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White Card Stock

Accessories: Big Shot, Petite Purse Die, Hearts a Flutter Framelits Die, Full Heart Punch and Rhinestone Basic Jewels
