Oh So Succulent

Has the succulent trend caught your attention? Seems like you see these wonderful little plants every where. And Stampin’ Up! has got the paper version for you if you want to include these little guys in your paper crafting projects too! And if you’re like me you’ll appreciate the fact there is no watering, since I don’t have much of a green thumb, LOL!

Here are two wonderful cards made by Theresa who gave them to me in a swap using the Succulent Garden suite of products.

Wonderful right? If you haven’t seen the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper already it is beautiful with it’s soft subtle colors and patterns and perfect for spring. I’ve given you the supplies below used for both these cards today below. I don’t normally do that but thought you’d like both of them since I can’t decide which I like best!

Team Time & Swapping

Inspire, Share and Create – That’s what we do as a team once a month at our meetings when we get together. Today’s items that I’ll be sharing with you are swaps that were made by my fellow team members, a group of wonderful stampers! While we’ve all been stamping for different lengths of time it’s amazing how much we learn from each other! Oh, and did I mention we just have fun?

This first card is one that Mary made. It’s a peekaboo pullback card using the Watercolor Wings stamp set (139424) and Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies (138135).

Done in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (141663) and using just two colors – it’s quite striking.

How how about this card Cindy made using the Hey, Chick (Sale-a-bration item 143328/143331) and Greatest Greetings (140703/140706) stamp sets.

Cindy used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (142778) and Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821) to create a fun textured background for this little water colored image.

And how about some fun goodies too? Deborah made these fun little bags using the Oh, So Succulent Bundle (145184) and wrapped it all up with a bow!

If you haven’t felt the Succulent Garden 3/8″ Ribbon (142781) – it’s sooo soft and luxurious feeling. I wasn’t sure about this suite of products when I first saw them, but I’ve definitely added them to my wish list!

And finally a little file folder filled with a Ghiradelli chocolate. I love the soft colors of the Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series Paper Stack (142744) Cindy teamed up with the the  Designer T stamp set (Sale -a-bration item 143356)  sentiment. Can you guess where the sentiment on the tab comes from?

Well it’s the Pretty Kitty stamp set (141861/141864). Of course, the cloud and little bird are from the Tree Builder Punch (138295). Fun right and who wouldn’t smile when they got this little treat? I loved this quirky little set the minutes I set eyes on it – after all who doesn’t like chickens? So today I wanted to share this fun card that Jackie gave me in my recent swap.

Every time I look at it it makes me smile – how about you? Who could resist this fun little chick peeking out from the picket fence.

I thought you might enjoy learning how to make these quick and easy picket fences so you can make this little card too – so today’s video tutorial shows you just that!

What did I tell you – these are soooo easy to make! And Jackie simply cut a slit with her personal trimmer in the fence to tuck her chick into.

Birthday Blast

Bold, colorful and fun! That’s what this card is. The Birthday Blast Bundle can be used for more than birthdays since it contains 2 additional sentiments for any type celebration. And check out the wonderful font used on these  greetings – I love the flowing script in this set.

Dragonfly Dreams & Upcoming Classes

Dragonfly Dreams has been one of the most popular bundles in the Occasions Catalog. And when you see the lovely cards it can make you’ll know why.

This card uses a wonderful watercolor wash background created with our reinkers and Aqua Painter. The simplicity of this card is just wonderful I think.And I fell in love with this background as soon as I saw it – teals and water colored tones are some of my favorite colors so I was thrill when Cara shared with me how she made this background on her swap.  If you would like to see how to create this background too I’ve made a quick video for you.

Swan Lake

Like swans? If so you’re going to like this wonderful little set found in the Occasions Catalog on page 53. This set not only contains charming images, but also has some wonderful sentiments. I was soooo excited when I won this set at On Stage in Atlanta last November after all who can resist the little ducklings? It reminds me of the days when my mother would all take us to Capital Court around Easter to see the decorations and the chicks and ducklings hatch. (If I remember correctly they were in an even bigger decorated egg of all things! Ah, well that was a long time ago…)

So today I’m sharing two cards that I received in my swap using this stamp set. This first card was given to me by Gina. I love the way she used our different patterns from the Brights Collection Paper Stack for this card.

The card swings open to  show you these cute little ducklings and sentiment.

And here is another card also done in Brights, but this time using the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper (141630).

And here a couple more wonderful cards made with our FREE Sale-a-bration stamp sets.

This first one uses the So Very Much stamp set and the Carried Away Designer Series Paper. Deborah cut the little hot air balloons to add to the corner with the Night of Navy Solid Bakers Twine.

And this card for Lorrie uses the elegant set Delicate Details and also uses the Carried Away Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration choices.

It’s a lot of fun to see how the same product, this time Designer Series paper, can be used so many different ways.

It’s a Perfect Mix & More

Nothing is better than baking and having that wonderful smell of fresh baked goods in the house. I have such wonderful memories of my Grandmother teaching me how to bake when I was young. I fell in love with the process of creativity immediately and of course who doesn’t love the final out come.  So this set Perfect Mix brings fond memories back of my childhood and time with my own children in the kitchen too.

Want to see some wonderful cards made with this set? Here are two that I received in a swap that have very different styles, but I love them both. This first card is from Lianna and has a clean contemporary style – I love the bright cheerful In colors she used.

And this next card from Catie has more of a vintage feel to it. Lots of layering and do you seen the torn edge on the Booms & Bliss Designer Series paper (141654) and the stitching on the circles? The Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (145372) make that soooo easy.

I just love the sentiment she showcased.

Balloon Adventure

Balloon Adventure is one of those wonderful sets perfect for creating wonderful birthday cards all year long. Not only does it contain multiple sentiments in different sizes it has a wonderful suite of products that include Thinlits die and punch that coordinates with it, so the options are endless.

Today I’m sharing with you some bright bold cards made with this set. This first one uses the Balloon Pop-up Thinlits Dies to create a fun 3d effect.

And check out these adorable little embellishments, I’ve attached mine with Baker’s Twine to the front.

The Party Animal Embellishments come in both party hats and balloons – cute little trinkets for card making and more.

This card is pop-up but Jackie used the Star Blast Edgelit Dies (142763) to create a fun 3d image for the inside along with the Candle Border Punch (142764) to create a pop of color using the negative space along the bottom.

And here are some cards from Anita and Joanne that use the stamp set with the coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch (140609).

Both cards use Party Animal Designer Series Paper and the colors found in the paper. Don’t you love that Stampin’ Up! makes it easy to coordinate? Pick your Designer Series Paper and you know that any of those colors included will make a great card! I know when I was new to stamping this was a HUGE help to me!!!

Today’s cards are made with the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle that includes a stamp set and Thinlits Dies.  These stamps have a wonderful watercolor look built right into the stamps. And since it is a two-step set it is made in Photopolymer so you can line things up easily!
